Mrs. Barber's students taught preschool this morning.  I wasn't in the room at the time, so Kathy took the pictures.  I don't know what story they read.

It looks like they did their standard fruit-snack math game and matching game.

Here they are playing Duck, Duck, Goose.

Here we have another fruit-snack math game and another matching game.

The kids enjoyed playing outside in the snow.

Yesterday Mrs. Barber's students taught "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed".

They used monkey pictures to make a pattern.

They learned some things about monkeys and apes.

In this activity they were spinning.  I'm not sure what that had to do with their theme.

Their last activity was coloring monkey pictures.

We also cut out Christmas trees and the children had the opportunity to decorate their trees.

Camera Problems

I think I've dropped the camera one too many times, and it won't upload photos to the blog through the USB cable any more.  My home printer has a memory card port that works just fine, but that requires me to remember to take the card home each night and bring it back each morning.  I will do my best to remember to do this, but I may miss a day here and there.  I will try to remember to blog yesterday and today when I get home tonight.

They colored pictures of eggs.

They compared raw eggs to hard boiled eggs, and they tasted the hard boiled eggs.

In their second session of preschool they learned "Little Miss Muffet".

They tasted cheese curds.

They played a math game.

They played spider tag.

The babies went for a ride during preschool.  They all enjoyed it, but Cody didn't stop laughing the whole time they were out.

The kids who were absent yesterday got to open their Christmas presents today.

MrS Barber's students taught the children "Hey Diddle Diddle".

They played a matching game with pictures from the nursery rhyme.

They used pictures to retell the nursery rhyme to their teachers.

I'm not sure what this group was doing.

Our student McKyla had the children decorate a paper tree with pom poms.

Kim played a Christmas matching game with them.

The kids took turns opening their presents.

These kids were pretending to be on the Polar Express.

Mrs. Barber's students taught the children "Hickory Dickory Dock".

Jamie took these pictures so I don't know exactly what they were doing in their activities, but I really like the big tape clock.

Our student Lindsey read "The Polar Express".

The kids made Santa faces.

They also made jingle bell bracelets.

We practiced the letter M.

For our first session of preschool Mrs. Barber's students read "The Monkey and the Crocodile".

The children made monkey masks.

They played a matching game.

I'm not sure what they were doing in this activity.

They took turns pretending to be crocodiles catching the monkeys in a tree.

For the second session of preschool Mrs. Barber's students read "Pauline".

They played a matching game.

They played Pop Goes the Weasel.

They played pin the tail on the weasel.

A family who used to bring their children here donated a bunch of dress-ups that their daughter has outgrown, and the children had a great time with them.
