Bubbles & Sand
The kids love the bubble machine! I love it because my idea of a bubble bath is not dunking a stick into bubble solution & blowing bubbles everywhere!! I can just sit & enjoy their laughter & the fact they are totally wearing themselves out! Those of you that know me know that I HATE DIRT!! But I know that I am a Mom especially a Mom of 2 boys & dirt will become part of my everyday life! I also know that a Sandbox is a must have! Due to the heat, bugs, & animals sitting out in a sandbox in the backyard is NOT going to happen at my house! So thanks to a great Magazine I found a great fix! I got 2 bags of sand, dumped them in a container with wheels & called it a sandbox! The kids love it & I love sitting in the covered garage watching them play! Best of all I just simply lay down an old sheet, roll out the container of sand & let them go at it! When they are done I put the lid on slide it to the side of the garage & pick up the sheet & shake out the spilled sand! This
is how we spend some of our down time here in Texas!
Grandparents Visit
I was very fortunate to have my grandparent from Helena, MT come down for a visit! It was so awesome to have a piece of home here in Texas! We kept them busy with reading, playing, fishing, & touring! It was so awesome seeing my grandpa who helped me fish showing my kids how to do the same thing! The kids loved the lake & most of all loved “fishing”! They ask everyday when we get to go again! My grandparents brought with them an airplane shelf for Holden similar to the one they made Sawyer. The boys are now set for a room together!! We also were able to take them to San Antonio & give them the tour! We saw the Alamo, the Riverwalk, lots of people, & heat! All in all we really enjoyed their visit! Thank you Grandpa & Grandma for visiting & for all the goodies!

Bowling
We finally took some time & went bowling as a family for the first time!! The kids loved it & did great!! The kids actually did well! They even got to experience some bowling alley snacks! We might have to do this family fun time thing a little more often! Here are some pics of our day!

Happy Birthday Sawyer!
Today I actually got to be holding my little man looking into his eyes the moment he turned 2 just as I did 2 years ago! 2 years ago I was a little bit more excited & didn’t care so much that it was 1:59 a.m.! I can’t believe he is already 2! He is such a cute little boy with a big heart! A little stubborn & has yet to figure out the whole sleeping thing but I wouldn’t trade him for anything!! When he woke up at 6 a.m. from his 3 hour night sleep he informed me he wanted “tacos” for breakfast! Good thing we live in Texas & you can have tacos for breakfast! So I packed everyone up drove to our favorite restaurant Rudy’s & got everyone Tacos!! He looked at me with his big blue eyes & said “my favorite!!!” We then hit the park, had lunch with friends, played with all the new toys, took a nap & played some more. Now if he would just end the perfect day with a GOODnight!!
Sawyer’s Birthday Party
We didn’t make it to Montana this year to celebrate but we still had lots of fun. This year Sawyer wanted a Mickey Mouse birthday! So thanks to Grandma Sue & the United States Postal Service we succeeded!! We had some couples over with their kids ate hot diggity dogs, cake, & enjoyed great conversation! The kids stayed busy playing out back on the play equipment! Sawyer was super spoiled & enjoyed every minute! Thank you all for coming & for all the gifts!

February
February brought some big changes for my little people! Sawyer finally figured out how to climb out of his bed! We were to afraid he would fall & break something so he moved to a BIG BOY BED!!! It’s funny how little it is & how big it makes his room look! Anyway he doesn’t ever fall asleep in it but does have fun jumping & playing on it all day. This also means he is done with naps unless we happen to be in the car! Let’s just say this is one tired MAMA! Holden cut 5 more teeth this month! This lead to no more breastfeeding! I am so sad & not ready for my baby to be a big boy!! He also is now pulling himself up on things & standing there like it is no big deal!! He is even trying to reach out to things like he is just going to walk!!! He is only 7 months old! Time flies when you are having fun!! Olivia attended lots of birthday parties & even learned to Roller Skate! David has been super busy this month with work & his 3 master’s classes! This has led to a lot of long days & nights. But as usual it also has led to celebrating holidays & events early. We had a wonderful Valentines Day on the 13th! When the month was all said in done it was full of LOVE!! Even though life maybe tough at times each day God grants us is the MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF OUR LIVES!!!
Las Vegas
I miss seeing my parents so very much! So instead of trying to get all the way to Montana or them come all the way here we decided to meet in Las Vegas. We drove to Laredo, TX & caught an Allegiant flight out of there & my parents flew Allegiant out of Billings. It turned out great! We had such a fun time being somewhere new & getting to be with them. The weather was a little chilly but still nice enough to enjoy. We went and toured around Hoover Dam, spent one day just shopping around, taking in all the sites, & eating at the buffets! The kids & I especially loved the desert section! Dad & David did a little gambling but no big winnings to report!! :( We also were able to go out to Nellis AFB & enjoyed a tour of the Thunderbirds! We were even able to see them take off ! Over all it was a wonderful trip & we can’t wait to do it again!
December/January
We had a very busy Christmas season! We had a great time in Montana seeing our family & friends. Thank you for all the time, food, conversation, & gifts that you all showered us with! With the good comes the bad. It was really tough loosing our Grandpa Bill on Christmas Eve. But we are thankful that he is no longer suffering & he is dancing with Jesus! It was also hard to leave our family behind knowing what the days ahead would be hard. We just want you to know that we are thinking of all of you! January was a busy month full of trying to get into a routine! We did enjoy the mild weather but missed seeing the snow. The kids asked everyday if they could build a snowman! Holden started crawling & even cut his first tooth! Sawyer learned how to climb into Holden's crib & make Mommy's life difficult!! The kids finally gave David some time & he built their Clubhouse Climber & Play house. We still have it in the Garage!! I am trying to convince David to keep it there because it makes a great babysitter!!! All in all we stayed busy!

The Halloween Season
We had a wonderful Halloween Season this year. We went to a Pumpkin Patch with our great friend Allison outside of San Antonio earlier this month. We made Halloween cookies, carved pumpkins into Elmo & Minnie Mouse (to bad they didn’t last in the 100 degree weather!) We went to Del Rio’s Monster Mash where the kids got to play games, & get their face panted. The kids went trick or treating around the neighborhood last night and then came home to hand out candy. According to Olivia that was her favorite part! She loved seeing all the costumes, answering the door, & calling out the kids who were on their second visit. Even Sawyer had fun handing out candy! We missed all our Utah Friends & Family in Montana but hope you all had a wonderful month!!!
