Sam's All Smiles!

Sam was hamming it up in the P&D Electric hat. I'm sure his Grandpa Baker (the "D" in "P&D") is going to be proud!

From the Past Couple of Weeks...

In an effort to get Sam to sleep through the night, we gave him some rice cereal. He was NOT impressed and he still woke up in the middle of the night. Guess we'll put the rice away for a few more weeks!
Dave, Deborah, Sam, mom, dad, Maggie and me at mom and dad's company Christmas party in Hannibal. The party was scheduled way before we ever dreamed the Tigers would be playing in the Big 12 Championship game, so we all wore black and gold to the Christmas party to cheer on the Tigers. (It didn't work, but the Cotton Bowl will still be fun!)

Our first family picture with Sam!

Cars For Sale

My good friend who takes care of all the GM vehicles in our family is selling two cars:
1997 Lumina - 150,000 miles - $3200
2003 Impala - 67,000 miles - new tires - $10,000

He takes better care of vehicles than anyone else I know, so if you're interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.

A Busy Week!

It's official now, Maggie's been to more basketball games already this year than Dave and me. She loves to go and watch Truman and the band. My dad says she even watches the game and cheers and claps. We're getting pretty excited around here about the big football game on Saturday...GO TIGERS!!!

Here are some pictures of the kiddos from the past few days.

Maggie got to go to the last home football game (her third this season)! Dave's grandma and great-aunt (see below) kept Sam while Maggie and I went to the game with my mom and dad.

Sam is ready for a Tiger win!
Dave's grandma and great-aunt with all the goodies they make for our church bake sale. They are amazing...they've been baking for two weeks and had a car load (seriously, even the trunk was full) of homemade goodness! This is Dave's grandma with one (I think she made 15 total) of her famous tea rings. She'll be 90 in January and I swear gets more done than I do!

This is his great-aunt Vernetta - she made that table full of candy and the angels on the left.

Sam is Off the Charts!

Sam had his two-month check up (a little late) yesterday. He weighs 16 1/2 pounds and is almost 25 inches long. He's off the charts (literally) on height, weight and head circumference. At least he's proportional...and healthy! Dr. Stuebben said he's doing great. We are blessed!

Halloween, Round 2

I took Maggie and Sam to Shelbina on Sunday so they could trick-or-treat with my mom and dad and the grandmas.

My mom with her little tiger and cow.

Maggie loves to "rahhhrrrrr" like a Tiger and scare my dad.
Truman the Tiger with her great-grandma Baker.
My mom's sister met Sam for the first time on Sunday. We think Sam likes her!

My Little Tiger Fans!

Mom, dad, Dave, Maggie, Sam and I went to the first exhibition basketball game on Saturday.

Maggie thought it was pretty awesome that Sam had Truman the Tiger on his sweater.
She just claps when everyone else claps!
Go Tigers!

Sam!

Sweet Sam seems to get short-changed on the blog...so here's several pictures. He's so sweet!

Check out Brooke and Jon's Blog

Check out the link on the left under "McCarty Family". Brooke and Jon are former Shelby Countians who now live in Columbia. Brooke is the Realtor who helped us sell our house in Hartsburg and buy the house we live in now. I've known Brooke and her sister Lauren forever and have lots of great high school memories of our fun times!

At the Football Game

Maggie went to the football game last Saturday with me, Grandma and Grandpa Baker and Grandpa Alexander. She watched Truman the whole game and clapped whenever we did. She's quite the little fan!

Halloween Night!

We had a whirlwind night of trick-or-treating last night. We went to Dave's grandma's house, his aunt's house and then all over cousin Grace and Kate's neighborhood with their neighbors Sam and Lauren. We're doing it all over again on Sunday...Maggie, Sam and I are going to put on the costumes and go see my family in Shelbina. Maggie's excited to be Truman the Tiger again! And Sam, well, I think he could care less what he's wearing as long as he gets a bottle every now and then.

When you ask Maggie what Truman says, this is what she does. She says, "Truman say RAHRRRR!"

Smiles from Sam

Every once in a while, Sam flashes a non-gas-related smile. He's so sweet!

Maggie Celebrates MU Homecoming

Dave took Maggie to the Homecoming parade yesterday so she could see Truman the Tiger. She LOVES Truman! She tells everyone that she saw Truman, that he's BIG and that he waved at her. She even has a Truman shirt and roars when you ask her what Truman says.

Watching the parade with cousins Grace and Kate and Anna (Grace and Kate's cousin).
