Boone County Fair

Maggie LOVES the Boone County Fair. She goes non-stop from the time they put the wristband on her until 10:00. She rode the tea cups, swings, roller coaster and a bunch of other rides all by herself. We rode the Ferris wheel together and had a blast! Sam rode almost all the kiddie rides, the went home with Grandma Nell so Maggie could do some serious 3-year old ride-riding.

We met up with our wonderful neighbors, Jerry and Julie, for a ride on the merry-go-round.

Hanging Out at Home

These pictures of Sam driving make me think we could be in trouble in 15 years or so.

Most of the time they get along so well! Here they're sharing Smarties on the porch.

I love this picture. He ran his little car up on top of the white box and was so sad - he just couldn't figure out what happened!

Cute, Dirty Kids

In my previous post I said the kids don't ever stay clean very long. So true...

Cute, Clean Sam

I think the kids are so cute when they get out of the bathtub. They smell good, they're clean (which never lasts long) and they're so darn sweet all wrapped up in a towel. I don't know where Maggie was during this post-bath photo shoot, but Sam is all smiles after he gets a good scrubbin'!

Fun at the Park

We spend a lot of time out of the house so it's quieter for Dave while he's sleeping. There's a nice little park right down the road from our house that we like to visit. Maggie is a rock star on the monkey bars!

At Grandma and Grandpa Alexander's

I can't remember why we celebrated the 4th of July so many times last year. Anyway, these are the last of the pics from Dave's mom and dad's house.
Sam, Maggie and Kate waiting for the fireworks to start!

Yes, he's as ornery as he looks.

Maggie with the kid-friendly fireworks (confetti)!

Planting something - and learning from the master. Dave's dad can grow anything!

I love this picture. Like father, like son!

4th of July with the Wehmeyer Family

I'm still delusional enough to think I'll get all caught up with pictures on the blog. I'm only 9 months behind. These are a few pictures from the 4th of July gathering with Dave's dad's side of the family.
Rodeo Queen (or so she thinks!)

Sam and Grace

Yay for the smoke bombs!

Maggie being silly doing a 4th of July dance!

My Little Firecrackers

I know it's waaaaaaaaay past the 4th of July, but I got some cute pics of my kiddos, so I'm going to put them on here anyway!

The Wiener Roast

Not too many people plan a wiener roast in June, but it was my Grandpa Baker's fall tradition for a lot of years when I was younger, so when the whole family got together the last weekend in June, we planned a wiener roast. It was about 100 degrees the day before, but on the day of the roast, the temperature dropped to about 80 degrees. I think that was Grandpa up in heaven making sure we'd have a good time and that the only thing we'd be roasting was wieners and marshmallows...not ourselves!

Maggie's first Smore!

Grandma with her grandkids and great grandkids (except Ryan - I'm not sure why he wasn't there!) Amanda, Courtney, Meagan, Christopher, Emily holding her son Raine, Scott (behind Emily), Jeremy (Emily's husband), Deborah holding Sam and me holding Maggie.

LOOK OUT! He's a crazy driver!

Dad giving rides in the big Gator!

This brings back sweet memories! This is Uncle Mark helping Maggie learn to bat. He used to do the same for me!

Hangin' Out at Meemaw and Papa's House

Just a few pictures of Maggie and Sam hanging out at my mom and dad's house...they have the run of the place there!

Watching a movie in Meemaw and Papa's room...so spoiled!
