I took this with our point and shoot. I didn't want to get the fancy camera wet. You can tell a huge difference in the quality of the pictures! Also, I almost fell of the curb taking this. Not the smartest move for a pregnant lady.

How you know.
How do you know when pregnancy brain has set in? It's easy when the all the signs are staring you right in the face.
Literally.
See?
Most people would post a sign for their spouse to replace the paper. Not in our house. You see, we have two cats who more than anything in the world love to unroll the toilet paper. ALL OF IT! We have lost many a fresh roll of toilet paper because of this. Sooo.....most of the time we don't replace it and just keep it sitting on the shelf about the toilet. Most of the time.
Lately, I can't seem to remember to do this and the inevitable happens. Then I get to hear a 10 minute lecture from my husband about how much money was just wasted. Now, I tried to blame it on my mother-in-law a few times (sorry Diana) but we all know that it was not her who was replacing the roll.
So this was my husband's way to remedy the situation.
He could have at least said please!

Three days.
Wow,
I can't believe we are three days away from finding out if we have a he or a she! In a way, it feels like we've been waiting forever and then again the time has gone by so fast! Even more surprising, is the fact that we are one week away from being half-way through this pregnancy. It seemed like those first twelve weeks just dripped by. I wanted to be so happy but I was so worried that something may happen. Now we're almost halfway through and although many things could still happen, I'm not letting myself think that negatively anymore. I am enjoying this pregnancy so much now. I love to feel those little kicks and jabs. Justin was able to feel a little kick the other morning and I wish I could have had a picture of the look on his face. Priceless!
He hasn't felt it again since, but I assured him that the baby is still pretty small and I promised him he would be able to feel it again before too long.
Next up is finishing the paint in the nursery and finding a name for this little person. We have a girls name that we love but are having a hard time finding a boys name. Grandma Diana is obsessed with calling it Benji if it's a boy....Oh lord!
If you're listening little one, I promise if you are a little boy, I will not let Grandma call you Benji (in public anyway)! Either way, boy or girl, we already love you sooo much and we can't wait to give you lots of hugs and kisses.
Oh, and be ready for mom and dad to fight over who gets to hold you because I just know it's going to happen...:)
See you in a few days!

Catching Up
I realize I've missed out on blogging about the blizzard, Christmas and New Years. So I'm just going to do a post of recent random happenings. Enjoy! We had a wonderful trip to my home town over the Holidays. We stayed with my mom for a week and got completely spoiled. We did miss the blizzard which made me a little sad. I pray for snow every year and the one time we get a really good snow, I'm gone. Of course. I'm still hoping we'll get another good one before winter is over. I don't really care for a blizzard but a good few inches of snow would be great!
We managed to get tons of cleaning and organizing done before we had to go back to work. Three of the four walls of the baby's room are painted and the furniture is in place. The fourth wall will have to wait until we find out what we're having!
We find out January 20th. The suspense is almost killing me!
I had a dream last night that we went in for the ultrasound and the doctor said......" Well, I can't tell if it's a boy or a girl but I think there are TWO in there!" This probably stems from the fact that several people have asked me if I am having twins......
I missed posting my 16 week picture and am already almost 18 weeks so just in case you were wondering, I look very similar to this.

I have no idea why I'm so big already? I know I didn't eat THAT much in the last 18 weeks. I get embarrassed when someone asks me how far along I am and have to tell them that I'm not even half way through yet. One of my co-workers is a whole month ahead of me and you can't even tell she's pregnant. I have to really concentrate to keep myself from waddling. Lord help me?!
