Take my breath away

Well the title for today's post has come from non related craftiness (you gasp, there are other things other than crafting!) But as the guy from the fast show would say, this week I is mostly listening to the album lungs by Florence and the machine. Ooh there is definitely something special about it because I must have listened to it all the way through 10 times at least now. So exciting to find some new music in the masses of dross out there (I know I'm getting old LOL!).

Anyway a little more sew happy cards for you, as promised. These papers are called nouveau chic from Stampin; Up! and are so classy. Below is a close up of the beautiful filigree brads which I mounted on to a square clear button for a bit more interest - hope you like :D

Have a great day & see you soon xx

You're an embarassment

Morning and welcome to Monday's devotion to the dream experience lol! My card for today was inspired by a recent card I saw (please let me know if it was yours) which had a background stamped with a wood grain image. Mine is using the sanded background from Stampin' Up! stamped on blush card stock (hence the title) which gives a subtler look.

Hope you are well, have a great day & see you soon :D

Upside down

Hiya all, not much going on at the mo. Although I am going to sound really flash (phah! me) but I have been busy completing some projects for the design team over at the in love with stamping site. Such an exciting new part to my crafting life as I have never been on a design team before.

Anyhoo my card for today was one of the one's I demoed at my first Stampin' Up! workshop last week. This one is upside down (well the paper is) but thankfully this example was one of those' practice in front of the family being a demo' card and the one on the day was the right way round lol!

A little mention too the wonderfully talented and great all round gal - my super duper friend Aimes, who recently had her work spotlighted on a very prestigious blog. All you big craft fans out there know that when something like this happens it is a big deal - so way to go honey :D

Have a great weekend & see you on Monday.

Get your motor running

I am a little behind on my cards at the mo, what with the new years lurgy and all. But I am quite pleased how this turned out and you may have noticed a little (meant to be squiffy - like a trail) sewing on the card :D YES Santa brought me a Janome mini sewing machine( yeeehaw). I have been hinting at one for ages but have only now had chance to play and I LOVE IT. Prepare to have lots more samples with wonky sewing on for the next couple of months hee hee!

Have a great day & see you tomorrow xx

Sewing the seeds of love

Morning all, hope you had a good weekend. Thank you to for all the good wishes I had for my first Stampin' Up! work shop on Friday which went really well. I surprised myself how relaxed I was once I got settled into my demos. A big hello to Kathy and friends and thank you for such wonderful hospitality.

I have had today's card in mind for a while now. On my road to recovery I was busy sketching ideas in a little note pad and I had the idea of making a card with a noughts and crosses grid pierced out and using hearts and buttons instead of the O's and X's - hope you like it :D

Have a great day and see you soon xx

Oh no not I, I will survive

Hellllloooooo my friends and may I be the last to wish you a happy new year! :D Great big hugs and kisses to all the lovely friends who have contacted me asking me how I am :D It really has been a rough couple of weeks but I won't bore you with all the germy details. Needless to say I was tough and after many trips to the GP, I am feeling much better and on the road to recovery.

Can you believe that I have not stamped a blinkin thing for nearly three weeks?! Although on my sick bed my husband couldn't believe his eyes when there I was, half asleep surrounded with pills and potions clutching a tissue in one hand a pad of designer paper in the other!! In my defence, I couldn't play with anything but I had to at least hold some stash in the hope of their healing properties hee hee!

I will be taking it easy over the next few weeks, but will post every couple of days or so until I am back on top form :D

Have a great day & I will see you soon xx
