Oh so sweet

Reese is so alert. She is a sponge, soaking up life as it comes. You can see it in her eyes. She discovered her toes and likes the "happy baby" position. Reese loves her voice and uses it in high-pitched screams to talk to us. She sits in her bumbo on the table with us during dinner and watches us intently as we eat. It makes me feel guilty, so I can't wait until I can share! I love her big smiles and watching her play. She is my sweet little Reeser girl and I sure do love her.
We have some songs we like to sing to her.
"I am a Child of God"
"I Love to See the Temple"
"Hey Baby" (replaced with "Reeser," so it goes "Hey Reeser I wanna know if you'll be my girl")
"My little Buttercup" (replaced with "Reeser cup")
And there are others I can't think of right this second. She loves when we sing to her. Thank goodness she is not a harsh judge of musical talent!

Easter and Four Month Stats

Reese showing off her Easter dress (thanks Teresa!)
We held the 2nd annual Glassman/Wright Easter dinner and egg hunt
James showing off his hunting skills and demonstrating for his younger novice
What do you know? A binky in one of her eggs!
(It was windy outside. Thus the crazy hair.)
I forgot to report that Reese rolled over for the first time (tummy to back) on March 16 at James and Kylie's. I got so excited and felt so proud and then realized I was being a crazy mom and got sort of embarrassed. :) Also, on March 21, Great-great Aunt Diane taught Reese to blow raspberries. And Reese did it four times in-a-row!
Reese turned four-months on April 11 and had her appointment (and shots boo!) today, April 13. Here are her stats from today and some pictures from her exact four-month birthday.
weight: 13 lb 10 oz (49.51%)
length/height: 24.5 inches (58.85%)
head circumference: approx 16 inches (33.07%)
She is smiling up at her Dad--so precious!
Lately she loves chewing on her lower lip. I think it is just the cutest thing and I love how it makes her cheeks chunk out even more!
Reese is so much fun (a common phrase these days)! She loves her play mat and catching and eating her butterflies. Her coordination is getting better and better and we can't believe how quickly she is growing up! She giggles at random things we do. She likes when I throw her up in the air, even if she's just eaten, but then she'll spit up on me. She still loves her swing and will only tolerate the bumbo for 5-10 minutes. She easily rolls from stomach to back, and is close to rolling from her back to her stomach. She loves her bathtub and being "nakey." She likes her car seat and loves rides in the car. She is super alert and seems older than four months. I think having so much hair helps in that regard. She is my little buddy and I love smooching her all day long. I also love smelling her after her baths! Mmmmm Baby Magic!

Heaven on Earth

This sums it up...
Today marks one year from the day we found out Reese was on her way.

Birthdays and other notables

Rewind to February 27: My birthday (26) was half spent in NC and half in Ohio. It was a unique and very special birthday of getting to be in NC for a week, including the morning of my birthday, and then flying back to be with Devon too! Reese was great on the flights there and back. Devon was at baggage claim to help with luggage--in truth I think it was to see Reese. ;) He was itching to see her and I was itching to see him! Absence makes my heart grow fonder of that boy. He has picked me up from the airport many times and gives the best welcome home smooches (TMI?). He is so caring and thoughtful--always. A beautiful bouquet and presents awaited, and he drove us straight to Cheesecake Factory for dinner! He also surprised me with cupcakes at the church--where I play b-ball on Tuesday nights. What a cutie!
We had a special surprise when Grandpa Stout called saying they were driving up to see us from Georgia! We were able to watch conference together and celebrated Grandma Stout's birthday AND Devon's birthday (April 1st and April 2nd)!
Melt in your mouth brownies... Too bad I ate half the pan!
Great-Grandma trying to make Grandma jealous... did it work?
Birthday boy (28)
Devon said his birthday present had to be the GMAT because it was an unexpected [expensive] expense, but I would have none of that...
The trip would not be complete without a little "loop-dee-loop" with Great-Grandpa
Thanks for coming to visit and meet Reese! Love you!

Reese goes to Utah

James and Kylie were so nice to let us invade their house for the entire trip! We had too much fun to write in detail about everything, so here goes the picture diary.

Friends threw us a little luncheon/get together and it was so much fun to catch up with everyone. Definitely makes me miss Utah and all our awesome friends there... :)

Meltdown time
Harper likes Reese's hair.
I love this outfit on her. One of my favorites for sure!
She's got me wrapped around her finger.
Goofin' off at Brick Oven.

With some of the babes
All done up and ready for the day.
Playing with Uncle Cam
Went to my old offices to say hello. Here is Reese meeting Liz! This is right before the blowout!
Spending time with Aunt Diane
Great-Great-Aunt Diane taught her to blow raspberries and she was lovin' it!
Reese with her Great-Aunt Joi.
Reese with her Great-Uncle Jeff.
Jeff is a schoolteacher and he was reading us some of his third-graders' essays about American symbols. One student wrote about how Benjamin Franklin voted for the turkey to be the national bird. Then he said, "We would all be sitting around eating bald eagle for Thanksgiving dinner if Benjamin Franklin had his way." We were all dying laughing.
Reese with Grandpa Mark at Firehouse Subs.
Reese meeting the Ellis girls--Haylee, Steph, and Whit!! (2nd cousins once removed).
Reese and 2nd cousin, Lillie. We couldn't quite get Reese to stay put for the picture, and don't mind the drool spots.
Reese with her beautiful Aunt Hayley.
We met up with Hayley, Kelsey and the Anderson girls at the mall. They drove down from Idaho for the Hare Krishna festival (and to see us!).
Reese loved Harper's play mat. She started biting on her lower lip (with her gums of course).
Buffalo Wild wings to watch the OSU game

We met up with Hayley and Kelsey at Rubios
