My New Expensive Hobby

Been getting addicted to arts and crafts these days and i have to say, it's a really expensive addiction!! getting the frame (unless u want to make it yourself), paint, brush, mod podge from US, papers... GAH!! i think just for making 2, i spent more than RM 200!!

the first one is for Mae's birthday. I forgot to take the picture :(, so cant upload here. Maybe one day I get her to send me a pic of it. :D Made a trinket box for her.

the second one, I just completed it just now. it's a wooden name plaque that I bought on impulse for my room. here's a pic.

Mom say she cant see the words, what u guys think? If can't see, then maybe I change the design and start again.

this is a very expensive hobby indeed. Just started at it, expecting to do many more. fills up my time, catches my interests better than books, but it's way more expensive. Sigh.. why do I always have to have expensive hobbies??

A Change Of Style

If I have to sum up today, I would say it's a very productive yet expensive day.

Went out with my mom today to 1Utama since Mae couldn't make it. it was sort of a preplanned kinda thing with my mom with me being undecided if I should go out with her, in fear for her nagging. In the end, we did go out and it was quite fun. :D

For a change, I shopped today. Not for books but for clothes. YES, liwen shopped for clothes today, and NO, the sky didn't change color or anything like that. Just thought that I should change my wardrobe a little. It is after all consist of nothing but t-shirts and jeans.

So yes, I went to 1Utama today, with an intention to shop for CLOTHES. by the end of the day, my mom and I, the two of us, spent a total of RM 700+ with my clothes costing RM 560. I think when my dad sees the bill, he will be like, OMG! can't let liwen get the habit of buying clothes - I think I will pauper my dad if I did get into the habit. haha...

I bought, 1 blouse from FYI, 1 blouse from Dorothy perkins, 2 Spag, 1 t-shirt/blouse and 1 shirt from Mark & Spencers. A total of RM 560 (or around there). But like my mom said, it's alright since I shop for clothes like once in a blue moon? She was quite happy - she must have been thinking that finally! her daughter is shopping for clothes - like what most girls do. haha...

we stopped by at the Korean food fair - yes Izzie, there's a Korean food fair in 1Utama with loads of Korean stuff (but no korean pretty boys for sale) and my mom bought like RM 60 plus worth of stuff. adding on with my Rm 90 plus from Craft Haven for my current addiction to arts and crafts, I think today is the day I spent the most money in a day! Thank god my clothes are paid by daddy (lucky me :D) else I won't even have the money to buy bread for the rest of the month. :D

So today is a very Expen$$$ive day. :D

Parking @ HELP

Parking @ HELP is a very big problem. For those of you who are studying in HELP and is fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to drive would surely agree with me that parking in HELP is horrible.

For the first time, someone blocked my car. The guy was smart enough to leave his number, but he had the guts to come 40 minutes AFTER I called him. At first, I was okay with the fact that his car was blocking mine. After all, parking is a problem for all of us so I guess when we are desperate enough, we double park. FINE.

What I can't stand is that he took 40 min to come from his class. If his class is from KPD E, 40 minutes is way more than enough time for him to come to main block, move his car, go ta pau from McD and go back to KPD okay? Heck, we can even count the time it takes him to walk there and back. Sheesh!

yeah, and guess wat. He didn't even apologize. no sorry, nothing. he just silently got into the car and drove off. If I wasn't keeping an eye on his car, I won't even realize that he moved. At least, come on la. You make me wait 40 minutes and you didn't even say sorry? sheesh!

in the end, it took me another 20 min to leave the parking lot because of the horrible traffic. Sigh... ppl in HELP need to learn more manners - present readers excluded. :D haha...

On an unrelated note, my cousin's wife in UK had given birth to a baby gal this morning. the baby was only 7 months only when she was came to this world, which my mom commented that it's similar to me. Saw the video of the baby and I have to say, she have quite a powerful lungs. Scare me when she cried out just now. haha...

they named her Abigail. Nice name...

hmmm... you know, with so many of us in the family, we are running out of nice English names soon enough. at least the names that I like la. Abigail. Ryan. Leo. hmmm... maybe they will be a recycling of names in the family soon enough. I can imagine it during CNY.

Aunt: Ryan 1 come take ang pow.

then...

Aunt: Ryan 2, here's your ang pow.

Okay.... that's just weird. But really, all the nice names are going away... haha... when it's our turn to name kids in the future, it's definately going to be a real headache! not unless we all decide to give them chinese names only. then we can have a lot of variation. just like the boys in the family now. we have a lot of Lim Chin (fill in the blank with your fav chinese word). MOST of them have the word 'Chin' in it. :D

I guess that's all for now,

p/s: welcome to the family, baby Abigail :D Can't wait to see you when you come to see us for the first time :D

Don't look my age.

I don't look like my age. End of story.

Seriously, went to Chilis with my family today and when I ordered alcohol I was forced to produce my ID to PROVE my age before they are willing to process my order. *roll eyes*

When I messaged Mae and Izzie, they just said I look young. haha....

Oh well, this is not the first time someone say I don't look like my age. First time was when this gal come over to my house for survey and she said she wanted to speak to someone legal. Hello!! I am already 19 by then??? haha.... swt. she said I looked like 15. Sigh, secondary school gal. Oh well... As Izzie say, no need botox!

Oh the side note, I have comm in workplace assignment to finish and I sort of gotten into a quarrel with my bro when I asked his opinion on how to answer the question. Typical day in my life. :D

Have advertising quiz to study for as well, but somehow my eyes are itching to read/ see/ view anything except the words in the advertising book. It's like I can read any material now, except for the book. *looks at the book and eyes stray away again*

*force the eye to look back at the book* no!! cannot stray! Advertising marks sucks. Need.... to.... study.... *strain eyes on book* haha. let's just say for now I read like 5 pages? SWT!! sigh.

Since my eyes boycotted me, I am giving it a break. But I am determined to finish reading at least 2 chapters.

I. Am. Determined!

Must. Finish.

I hope.

I wish...

Aiya, you know wat? one chapter will suit me just fine. :D

7 months

I watched a HK series called "A journey called life". In yesterday's episode, I saw a scene that got me thinking. Which, I really don't know if it's a bad thing or a good thing.

In the scene, the gal was 7 months pregnant when she had to deliver her stillborn baby. 7 months. when i saw that scene, the baby reminded me of ME. I must have my lucky stars aligned on the day I was born.

On the side note, what the hell happened when I grow up? How did I manage to grow from such a tiny thing, barely the size of a tissue box to how I am now?? haha!! something must have really went wrong somewhere.... :D

oh well, I love me, myself and I and if u don't then too bad :D
