4 Months and a First Taste

Sept. 29

When Ty turned 4 months I was SO excited to start solids.
I didn't feel excited about it with Kael.
He didn't act like he cared to have anything but my milk.
I decided to try a couple weeks later and just see what he thought.
He didn't really know what to think.
Most of it came right back out because he couldn't figure out how to move it back with his tongue.
After a few bites he tried to grab the spoon to get it in better.
He liked it!
I wasn't convinced he needed it though, so we went back to just nursing for a while. :)

Picnic Time

Sept. 10

I needed to get out of the house with Ty, but didn't know what to do, so we had a picnic.
Kael had a nap, we made lunch, and took it out to the back porch.
Ty thought it was so much fun to have a "Picnic" with Mommy.
I love being able to sit and talk with my big boy.
I just can't believe this big boy is really mine.
After we ate he wanted to ride "Queen".
He thinks he's pretty cool when he rides around in "Queen".
I just love days with my boy.

A Piece of New Zealand

Sept. 9

We were lucky to have a few people from my Parents' mission come visit for a couple days.
They came "to America" for "Holiday" and we got to have them in Utah for a little bit.
They went through Northern California and Drove over to Salt Lake and then down to St. George.
We stayed up talking late the night they got here.
The next day we met at Cafe Rio for lunch, and my Mom and Dad took them up to Zion and Bryce Canyon. That night the girls went to "Hairspray" at Tuacahn and the boys went to a football game.
The girls LOVED Hairspray.
They knew all of the songs and thought it was so great.
Sunday they came to church with us, which was a really fun experience because Elder Holland, from the quorum of the 12 was at our ward. He got up to speak for a little bit, and we were all able to meet him and shake his hand after the meeting.
Following church, we had a yummy dinner at my mom's and then they headed out to Vegas and Southern California.
When we were done eating they performed a few "songs" for us and the Haka.
It was AWESOME!
Their voices are incredible and the shy little girls just let it all go.
When they were done Ty turned to Devan and said, "I really liked that Daddy."
I'm sad I didn't take more pictures while they were here, but here is the family.

Ty Turns 3!

Sept 6

I asked Ty for a few months what kind of birthday party he wanted.
He kept changing his mind, and finally settled on "A Queen and Mater Party."
He kept telling me he wanted a "Queen and Mater cake."
He talked about his cake over and over.
I asked who he wanted to come to his party(thinking maybe we would invite a couple friends).
He said, "I want all of my friends to come...Cam and Abbie and Sadie and Gretchen and Dabe and Izzie. All of my friends. I love my friends."
I was okay with that, so we had a family Mater and Queen party and he loved it.
In the morning I put a bunch of balloons in his room.
He thought that was the best thing ever!
He kicked and tackled those balloons for a while and squeeled.
Dev had to go to school, so we had him open a few presents from us.
He was so excited for his "Queen" bike, until he tried to ride it and it was hard, so he gave up.
We got ready for the party, decorated, and I made the cake during the day.
Ty LOVED his cake.
He couldn't keep his hands off of it!

He LOVED his party too.
It was so much fun with the family there.
We ate things Ty can eat, he had his very own cake(his allergies make it hard) and ice cream.
I just can't believe my little boy is 3!

There was NO helium in town...So we made our own little balloon bouquet with wooden skewers.
The Table Centerpieces

 The Finger Dives
Just a little excited about his present from Grandma and Grandpa. Luckiest Boy!

He didn't know how to drive it, so Abbie steered him around for a minute.

This little man was great. Just wanted to be held and slept on us most of the night.
Pretty excited about all of his fun presents

3 months

August 16

This boy is growing way TOO fast!
I went back to work and he's taking a bottle great.
It's been hard to leave him, but he's in good hands.
My boys are with my mom, Devan, or Becky Dunkley and they love it.
He is still sleeping great and just waking up once at night.
He smiles more every day.
He is SPOILED...I think that's what happens when you live with Grandma.

August Instagrams

I was really bad at using my real camera in August...and now I'm sad about it.
Even though these are bad quality, at least I have them right?
It was a busy, fun month.
