Tuesday Tidbits

01. This boy loves his puzzles. He's so good at them too! He does it all by himself.
02.He went to nursery this week and had a much better experience...he was asleep when we went to pick him up. :)
03.He runs everywhere! He gets moving a little fast for his little legs and ends up face planting quite often. This past weekend he did it on the asphalt at Cam's baseball game and got some road rash on his forehead. He just whines for a second, then jumps up and keeps running.
04.He's such a boy. At the baseball game he was in his GLORY. He ran around kicking dirt and throwing rocks the whole time.
05.He LOVES to talk to Grandma and Grandpa on Skype, he kisses their picture at home, and now he wants to be in my lap every time I'm on the computer because he thinks we're going to call Grandma and Grandpa. I usually go to their blog to show him pictures and he gets so excited and yells, "Ga!"
06.When I ask him to say please he says, "Dee!", but we're still working on saying it more often. He's pretty demanding and just screams most of the time...
07.My new favorite thing...I put him in bed and put his blankies on him, then I say, "Let's say prayer." He smiles and folds his little arms. ha They don't stay folded through the whole prayer because for some reason he thinks prayers are funny and just wants to laugh, but we're working on it.
08.When I ask him, "should we go brush your teeth?" he just smiles and says, "Tee, Tee". He loves to brush his teeth, but only if there's a tiny bit of mint toothpaste on his brush, he thinks it tastes like Grandpa's lifesaver mints and sometimes starts saying, "Ga" while I'm brushing and then he waves, telling me that Grandpa is bye bye. He's definitely still Grandpa's boy, even across the world. I'm so glad.

Pedicures

{Dec. 30}

I totally forgot about these pictures until Gretchen posted them on her blog.
The 4 of us were so lucky and Santa put a pedicure in each of our stockings!
We picked a day to have a girl morning and went to get them done.
We laughed and had so much fun while we were there.
My feet are SO ticklish when I get a pedicure, especially when they use the file thing.
I really don't like that part because it tickles so bad!
It was a fun time to just be with the girls and no kids.

We took this last picture right before we walked out the door, mom turned around suddenly, Gretchen stepped on her toe, and the whole polish just smudged off to the side! haha we laughed SO hard! So we had to wait for mom to get her big toe painted again.

Tuesday Tidbits

01. These were the first pictures that he has looked at me and said, "Cheese". I loved it!
02. The cut on his eye will be another post...
03. He does the funniest throat grunt for what the pig says.
04. He loves to go in the pantry and bring the boxes of cereal out to us.
05. He points at most food and says, "kuckkkkk" because he knows he can't eat it.
06. I found out he's allergic to peanuts...well at least peanut butter. I guess the list will just keep going with his allergies..ugh
07. He has really started to love hitting the baseball on his little tee.
08. He has been crying in the night all week and waking up earlier than usual(7:00)...I'm hoping it's just those last few teeth coming in.
09. He's always saying, "mom!" in this demanding, but cutest voice. He wants me to see everything he's doing. He also calls Devan Mom. ha he used to say Dad, but all of a sudden he's Mom again.
10. He starts "moo"ing the second he gets his boots on, or brings them to us because he wants to go down to the corrals and see the cows.
11. I got his blanky out of the dryer today and gave it to him(it was warm) and he started blowing on it like we do with his food. ha

Grandma's Pretty

For some reason all of the grandkids love this pretty little bottle of my Mom's.
They all find it and want to play with it.
Well...Ty has this toy that blows balls into the air and he loves it.
Lately he loves to put other things into it, then it doesn't blow the balls and he says, "uh oh" until we come dump out whatever he has put in.
Well do you see the pretty little top in this bottle?
It was in the ball machine...
When Devan went to put it back in the bottle this is what he found...
This smart little boy took the top out and replaced it with one of his screws.
I know he was thinking, "hmmm..I'll just put this in there and they'll never even know."
haha We laughed so hard.

Just Pack Me Up

Ty Boy thought he was going to go to New Zealand with Grandma and Grandpa.
My mom and I were trying to pack some things up, came out of the closet, and this is what we found.
He thought the suitcases were pretty cool.
I think he knew he wanted to go with them.
He's only about 24 pounds...they had 50 pounds per suitcase. I think it would work.
Maybe we'll have to pack him up and send him out there.
He loves to look at their picture on the wall.
The other day I asked him where Grandma and Grandpa were and he pointed at the door and said, "Moo"
ha He was telling me that Grandpa was feeding the cows.
He's just feeding the cows in New Zealand instead. :)
If any of you want to follow Elder and Sister Gubler's journey in New Zealand go here.

Hot Tub

{Jan 18}
We wanted to spend time as a family and figured it would be fun to heat up the hot tub.
This little man was so excited once he got his swimsuit on, he was trying to open the door. ha I think I'm in trouble...
These little kids just LOVE Grandma and Grandpa...who wouldn't?

Tuesday Tidbits

01. He LOVES animals.
02. We hung up his sports pictures in his room and he loves them....just points and says, "yeah yeah"
03. He's starting to be SO good at entertaining himself. He just plays all day.
04. He found a new love for Welch's fruit snacks. He brings us packs multiple times a day...I have to tell him no and he gets so mad at me.
05. He's starting to not eat as good as he used to.
06. This might be TMI, but he has the STINKIEST poops, and usually goes about 4 times a day. I seriously feel bad for the babysitter, because it's bad enough for me to change it.
07. He went to nursery for the first time on Sunday and this is what happened: I dropped him off and they wanted me to stay for a while. I made it very clear that he has food allergies and I left his own snacks for him to eat. He didn't even care that I was there so I decided to leave. After Sunday School I went to check on him. I just peeked through the window in the door and he was doing great. We had a combined class for Young women/young men/priesthood/relief society so Dev and I were together. 10 minutes were left of church and it felt so nice to be able to listen to the lessons, when one of the nursery leaders comes to me and says, "We're having a little problem with Ty, he's coughing really bad." I instantly know he's having an allergy and hurry out of the class. When I walk into the nursery the other leader is holding him over the garbage can, he's bawling, and there's throw up everywhere. They said, "he was just eating his cracker and started coughing. We had him all by himself." I thought maybe he did just choke, because sometimes he does that, then I noticed the hives around his mouth. I said, "he must have gotten some of the other kids." They still tried to say he didn't, but I'm not stupid. The other kids were eating cheese and crackers. One of them could have had cheese on their hand, touched a toy, which Ty touched and put his finger in his mouth. It's that simple. I just wish the kids would just eat crackers with no cheese. Maybe they'll change things, but until that happens, I don't know if I dare take him back. Poor baby...I felt SO bad! When we got home from church his whole face was red and had hives all over it. I gave him some benadryl and put him down for a nap, then he felt better.
