Slumber Party

Abbie asks us every night, "Do you have work tomorrow?" She asks us this because she wants to have a sleepover. So Friday night she asked and we told her, "no." She was so excited that we could finally have a sleepover. She and Cam got their stuff together and we came to our house. Dev and Cam played bowling on wii for awhile, and Cam definitely beat Devan a couple times. He was getting so excited about it! We put a movie in at 10:30 just to go to sleep, I feel asleep and woke up at 11:45. Everyone except Cam was out. He was wide awake, so I talked him into finishing the movie in the morning. The next day Cam wanted told me he had a baby in his belly and had a basketball in his shirt.

Brush Brush Brush

Last week I was able to go to the special needs department at the high school and teach them about oral healthcare. It was a lot of fun to teach the kids and do fun activities. We started with a test asking questions they may not know, because we hadn't taught anything yet. Then we proceeded to talk about brushing, plaque, flossing, and healthy foods for our teeth. We did a fun flossing activity where two of them volunteered to be teeth, and we flossed them with a jumprope. At the end, we painted pink stuff on their teeth that sticks to the plaque so they could see where they need to brush better, then gave them a toothbrush to brush it off. Now in a month we're going to go back and give them the same test again to see how well they remember.
