So Brad is out of town for the week for training in PA, and I though it would be the perfect time to catch up on my blog. Then I remembered I haven't uploaded pictures for like 4 months and Brad took the camera with him. Suck. So I have to wait a bit to post some good pics, but I have a couple good KyKy stories to tide you over. I just have to start with how much he has progressed in the last year! He is a new kid, and I love it. He will randomly come up to me and give me a hug or a kiss and say "I love you mom". He is just so sweet, a handful, but sweet. Last month my friend Amys son Luke was getting baptized. Ky had never been to a baptism before so I wanted to take him since the Todd's are some of our closest friends. We were sitting waiting for it to start and Luke comes into the room wearing his white baptism clothes (it is like a white jumpsuit for those of you that don't know), Ky looks and Luke then says, "What is Luke doing? Is he going to do Kung Fu?" It cracked me up! Ky loves Kung Fu Panda, as you can tell, and seeing Luke in a white jumpsuit, it only made sense to him that we were all there to watch Luke do Kung Fu. But alas, there was no Kung Fu performed at this baptism, maybe the next.
Then the next day we were at Stevie Wilson mission farewell with my family. We were in the middle of the meeting and Ky (who was sitting on my dad's lap) dropped a toy on the ground, so my dad leaned down to get it. Without warning Ky says out loud "Ouch G (that's what he calls my dad), my tenders, your hurting my tenders!" My row of family was DYING. I was 5 people away and I heard him as clear as day. Of course he says it when it is dead quiet in sacrament meeting. I was laughing so hard. It was one of those laughs that you are trying to hold in but you just can't contain yourself, so your shoulders are just shaking like crazy. I'm sure the people behind me thought I was crazy. The best part was that Ky was completely unaware that he had said anything out of the ordinary. I mean if someone was hurting you tenders, wouldn't you say something too? You just never know with my KyKy, he can make any boring meeting highly entertaining...
Well that's it for tonight. Maybe more tomorrow, if I can think of things to write that don't require pictures!
