quick little tid bit I don't want to forget

Just a quick story about Kam because I am already starting to forget the conversation and I want it to be written down somewhere that it won't be lost. This kid cracks me up lately. Here is a recent conversation I had w/ him:
I was in Kam's room with him and Tyce, when Tyce grabbed my face and gave me a big kiss. I said to him "oooh I love your kisses! You know you can't ever kiss anyone but you mommy right?! :) " and this followed from Kam...
K-Mom, can we really never kiss another girl?
M- Nope, just me.
K-Even when I am older?
M-Well maybe after your mission.
K-What about when I am in High School?
M-Kam, why would you want to kiss a girl?
K-I don't know, maybe if she was Hot or something.

WHAT, hot or something?! Where does he get this stuff?!

Here we go.

So Brad is out of town for the week for training in PA, and I though it would be the perfect time to catch up on my blog. Then I remembered I haven't uploaded pictures for like 4 months and Brad took the camera with him. Suck. So I have to wait a bit to post some good pics, but I have a couple good KyKy stories to tide you over. I just have to start with how much he has progressed in the last year! He is a new kid, and I love it. He will randomly come up to me and give me a hug or a kiss and say "I love you mom". He is just so sweet, a handful, but sweet. Last month my friend Amys son Luke was getting baptized. Ky had never been to a baptism before so I wanted to take him since the Todd's are some of our closest friends. We were sitting waiting for it to start and Luke comes into the room wearing his white baptism clothes (it is like a white jumpsuit for those of you that don't know), Ky looks and Luke then says, "What is Luke doing? Is he going to do Kung Fu?" It cracked me up! Ky loves Kung Fu Panda, as you can tell, and seeing Luke in a white jumpsuit, it only made sense to him that we were all there to watch Luke do Kung Fu. But alas, there was no Kung Fu performed at this baptism, maybe the next.
Then the next day we were at Stevie Wilson mission farewell with my family. We were in the middle of the meeting and Ky (who was sitting on my dad's lap) dropped a toy on the ground, so my dad leaned down to get it. Without warning Ky says out loud "Ouch G (that's what he calls my dad), my tenders, your hurting my tenders!" My row of family was DYING. I was 5 people away and I heard him as clear as day. Of course he says it when it is dead quiet in sacrament meeting. I was laughing so hard. It was one of those laughs that you are trying to hold in but you just can't contain yourself, so your shoulders are just shaking like crazy. I'm sure the people behind me thought I was crazy. The best part was that Ky was completely unaware that he had said anything out of the ordinary. I mean if someone was hurting you tenders, wouldn't you say something too? You just never know with my KyKy, he can make any boring meeting highly entertaining...
Well that's it for tonight. Maybe more tomorrow, if I can think of things to write that don't require pictures!

"your never going to belive this!"

So I am sitting in the office accomplishing absolutely nothing, and I hear Kamden come running down the hall yelling "MOM!!! You are never going to believe this! I pulled my own tooth out!!!!" He came to show me his tooth and I can't even begin to describe the joy that was on his face. He was so proud of himself as he told me all about how he did it. He just kept saying, "I can't believe this!". It was so darling. Then just a second ago I popped my head out of the office and looked down the hall where Kam is watching a movie, he just looked at me, gave me a huge grin and pumped his fist like Tiger Woods does when he sinks an awesome putt. Life doesn't get much better than that for a six year old I guess.

Even sunday dinners aren't boring around here!

Yesterday we went over to my parents house for a nice sunday dinner. We were starting to finish up when we heard Tyce calling for daddy from the bathroom. Alysse got up to go open the door for him and came back saying that Tyce had locked himself in the bathroom. My dad gets up and goes to try to unlock it from the outside with a paper clip and some bubble gum (just kidding, but he really is kinda like MacGyver) but he couln't get it unlocked. Meanwhile Tyce has turned off the light so it is pitch black in their little half bath with no window. My other kids would have been freaking out, but not Tyce. We could hear him saying "go pee, go pee", so dad had to get some tools and take the whole door knob off to get in. When he finally got it off he opened the door and turned on the light to see Tyce (who is NOT potty trained by the way) standing next to the toilet with his pants down and diaper off trying to go pee in the potty...in the dark. That kid cracks me up. I wish I had that on film :).
