Monday, 08/03
Ah, lazy to blog after ITP started :X
Before Monday came, I searched the company name in google, it appear a star at one spot but there is no name at the location of the star then i searched their address it appear at around number 16 of the bus stop from the Yishun Bus Interchange.
I called the person stated in the SAS and he told me that he could not help me !
After i heard what he said, i stunned there for few seconds =.-
Then replied never mind ~.~
I also felt quite nervous as it's my first time work in the company that i attached to by school ~.~
Then Monday, Wake up at 6.10am which the same timing when i wake up for school, LoLz
Scare late for work ma..
Although it located around Sembawang but don't know where the company located cause the street directory doesn't have =.-
When I get off from the bus, I see the picture that I taken from my laptop.
Turn horizontal, turn vertical.. aiyah dun feel like looking anymore..
Then there was a lady walking beside me so i said to myself let try my luck :X
So I asked, in the end she also worked in the same company as me :P
Then followed her to the company.
When I reached there, my partner already sitting down there, LoLz, so early sia !!
After that then i knew that he also did not know where is the place so he came early as he scared he might lost his way.
He is one of the class that combined with us when we have our lecture together.
We sat there for 30mins then someone come and brief us what to do ~.~
We were told that we are to follow another supervisor to another department o_O
After we followed the person to another department then the person realized that the person we supposed to report to is on leave..
P.S but in the end he is the who is our supervisor instead of the one that is on leave ~.~
Er, i think we sat there for the whole day ~.~
As there is no work assigned to us or you can also say that do not know what work to assign for us.
Time passes so slow when there's nth to do ~.~
We talk and talk but the time just passes so slow that we feel sleeping but don't dare to sleep :(
Then wait till 4.30pm the guy that followed to came back as he was out in the morning after he bought us there.
Told us that he will bring us go out and see what they normally do so that we can learn something and write for our logbook.
That quite thoughtful ^^
So basically we sat there from the time we came till 5.10pm !!! Zzzz =.-
Second day, 09/03
We were asked to follow a team to observe what they did on the rooftop. [ outdoor ]
If you are lucky enough like me :X opposite of your block on the rooftop there is 3 rectangular box.
They are supposed to check the system in one of the box there to confirm there is no problem in 'this' area.
Before they start checking the one who is going to check the system have to call the provider ( M1 ) to tell them to block the system.
P.S This company work with M1
Why they have to do that ?
It is because there have a alarm system so if you never block the system and starts checking the alarm is going to activate.
If it is blocked, he will starts checking and the rest will replace some old cables with the new cables of the antenna i suppose :X
If there is nothing wrong of the antenna signal, it is done.
Then we can pack up and go to other site.
If there is something wrong, he will use a equipment to determine the fault or problem :D
So that what they do everyday for this team :]
After that, it will be eating lunch, resting and going back to the office.
Third day, 10/03
Today we asked to follow a team to go the M1 head office. [ indoor ]
Damn big and Damn cold ! =.-
Indoor a bit troublesome before you go up to the lobby, you must have a card that make for you for security purposes to be with you.
After that we went to the server room.
Behind of the room, there are few rows of shelf containing item called cards.
This card is for mobile phone transmission.
Today they are going to check whether is there any problem with card.
Normally before checking if there is a problem with card or the person's mobile phone, the red light at the card will light up.
Each card can be represent one's mobile phone number or the area of the communication, example like Singapore Polytechnic Block XX.
Not only the card red light will be on, beside the server room, there is a control room i think i forget what the room called :X
There will be red light on when something is wrong with their system.
There are different columns for different system.
The one above that i said must call the provider which is M1 to block the system, one of the columns belongs to that.
So if the person never call the those who works in the M1 control room when he is checking the system, the alarm will be activate and the red light will be on.
Then they will be alert of what is going on.
The day that we went there just nice, those M1 staff are checking the transmission efficiency of those mobile phones.
What we heard from out colleague is that they did this because they have to check whether the transmission efficiency is 100% or not.
The funniest thing is that the way they check for the transmission efficiency is so....
they use a system to hear what other people talking !!!! But they have no choice, that is the only way to check.
This job can be only be done by their staff because this type of thing only allow for police to use and track what people say.
For example like during kidnapping and etc..
After that, it will be same time again. Eat lunch, resting and going back to the office.
Thursday to Saturday, sit in the office doing nothing :X
Quite bored also :(
