The Belt Unloader Makeover!

We are buying all of our fertilizer in bulk this year and needed a way to unload it from the grain trailer so, we bought a belt unloader that was wore out and needed some TLC. Dad and I rebuilt the bottom half. Then we put on a new motor, hydraulic pump, new belt and a spiffy paint job (ok half ass paint job). This was the end result. We have since used it and it works like new for a 10th of the price!!!

Chore Time

In October we brought the feeder cattle and beef cattle down to Delta. We hauled the rest of the range cattle and calves down in January. It has been a really good winter for the cows because we have not had a lot of cold weather or a lot of snow. We started calving around the 20th of January and are off to a good start.
1) Marlee and I loading up the hay for the mixer wagon.

Hay'n and Spray'n

Today I sprayed the young hay. I can't believe I am spraying at the end of October and the weather is still cooperating! We also were able to finish the hay hip, hip, hooray!!! Dad has been helping with the raking and started hauling. After the hay is hauled we still need to plant the wheat which will keep us busy for awhile!!!
