DISNEY DAY 1

We splurged with our tax returns and went to DISNEY WORLD!  We were going to save our money (boring!), but we after two rough years of dental school, me finishing school and working full-time, we decided we needed something fun to do!  It was a done deal when Derrick figured out it would be cheaper to fly to Florida and do a Disney vacation then it would be just to fly to Utah!

We convinced my little brother to come with us and then he helped us convince my parents to splurge too!  My dad was the real kicker because he did not want to go!  Florida in August was not his idea of fun ha!  But he still had a good time!

When we flew in, we checked in to our hotel and then went to dinner at the Polynesian Center and watched a show while we ate.  It was so good!  I didn't get very many good pictures, though.  The next day we started at Magic Kingdom.  Iva had a blast meeting characters and riding rides!  She loved the Aladdin ride the most.

Notice how sweaty my child is?  Yowza, it was HOT!

Aladdin was bitter that Mitchell only wanted a picture with Jasmine!  Ha ha

Taking an ice cream break with Ama and Aba while the boys rode a big kid ride!  She was spoiled rotten!

Derrick said her driving made for a bumpy ride!

Unfortunately, Mitchell driving also made for a bumpy ride!

We stayed in the Nemo suite at the Animation Studio Hotel!  It was awesome!  That was the room Iva picked.  When we came home after playing, They had set up Iva's stuffed animals so they were all ready for bed!  We think the housekeepers probably thought she had the weirdest choice of animals.  A Mickey, Nemo, Zazu, and her beloved walrus.  She has to sleep with her Mickey and walrus each night and the Nemo was her new toy she got when we got to the hotel (buy outside of the park!  SO much cheaper!  We got it before we left and hid it in a suitcase!).  She chose Zazu as her toy to take on the plane!

It was a good first Disney day!

Cedar Point

We knew we were going to start "thinking" about having another baby last summer, so we decided to take an Iva-free day and go to Cedar Point before I became pregnant!  It is up in Northern Ohio by Lake Erie and supposedly has the best roller coasters in the world!  It did not disappoint!  We had a TON of fun!  It was nice to just spend the day together just us (we LOVE our daughter, but sometimes we need a break!).

We are an attractive couple!

This roller coaster (Millennium Force) was AMAZING!  Super fast and so much fun!  Derrick loved this one!  He also loved one called Top Speed Dragster.  I DID NOT want to go on it, but he made me!  It basically sends you STRAIGHT up in the air at 120 mph and then straight down!  Super stressful!  He wanted to go on it again, but no thank you!

I was quite proud of myself for going on it though!  We had such a fun day!  If you ever come to good ol' Ohio, go to Cedar Point!

Happy Birthday Derrick!

Shout out to my AWESOME, SEXY, WONDERFUL, AMAZING hubby!  (Not that he reads this, but he is still amazing!).  He turned 27 last July!  We had a very chill day hanging out together!  Iva and I wrapped his presents for him (she chose Christmas paper!), and she helped him open everything!  I got him some movies and a manly overnight bag to take on trips!  He was getting sick of using mine ha.  I filled it with all of his favorite treats and goodies!  I took Iva to the dollar store and let her pick out 5 presents for him.  He got a fishing pole, a baseball, a football, a koosh ball thing, and some weird candy!  He was SO excited!

Eating his favorite dessert, cheesecake!  And we didn't have any other candles, so he got a #1 candle because he is #1!

We love him!

Independence Day!

We went to the parade with our friends the Smith's and had so much fun!  Iva LOVED the parade!  We were worried we would get rained out, but it held off until the parade was almost over and it was perfect!  It made for a muggy day, but at least it wasn't 90 degrees!  We love the 4th of July!

Doughnuts for breakfast!  Parade tradition!

Nufer's Visit!

Our friends from Utah came to visit us!  We love visitors!  Kevin has family here in Ohio, but they always manage to squeeze some time in with us and we LOVE it!  We showed them the fountains and Iva and Allison had so much fun!

Splash pad

We have some pretty awesome things here in Columbus, and a new favorite last summer became the fountains downtown!  Iva and Charlette had a BLAST!  The pictures are pretty self-explanatory!
