Here's to you January.

This January has been interesting.
You know its a time of year that is a little dreary.
It is usually filled with snow, shoveling, you know all that good/terrible snow stuff.
This year it really has had, well none of that.

Weird.

Its depressing in a weird different way.
You know like a pants soaked up to your knees kind of way.
Like the warmer weather almost seems freaky.

There has been a rather bright spot amongst this rainy no snow month.
These little beauties on this girl. They match with every outfit and are required at all times of the day.
Oh how I love her.

On another note,
I've been nesting, like a mad woman.

I've sewed some awesome curtains for the nursery.
Love them.

I sewed some cute bibs from Derek's t-shirts.

I also made him some burp rags.

I'll post some pictures of the baby's room once its complete.

All this thinking and sewing is making me love this boy more and more.
I can't wait to see him and love him in that room with all his stuff made with care just for him.
In exactly 5.5 weeks (or less) he will be here, crazy.
In 5.5 weeks (or less) I will have kid{s}, yes, plural.

Its hard to imagine how I can love 2 little ones enough.
People tell me it just happens and I'm sure it will but, today, I still worry.
In the end I'm glad I have this interesting January that makes me have to stay inside and enjoy the last few weeks with just her.

Here's to enjoying the next 5.5 weeks while still anxiously awaiting our exciting new future with kid{s}.

Memories of 2011

A year seems like such a long time when you are thinking about the future but when you look at the past you realize a year goes by so quickly and so much about your life can change.
2011 was a year full of adventures for our family.

We started out the year saying goodbye to our Missionary, Elder Mower. We miss him but are so glad he is willing to serve the Lord.

We also welcomed our sweet nephew unexpectedly early to our family.  He has been a fighter and despite his tiny stature, he is doing his best to give his parents a run for their money doing big boy things! Brielle loves her baby Aust.

I ran some fun races with my friends and awesome cousins, the Red Rock Relay, and the Ogden Relay.

We made a seemingly random decision to spend a few weeks of our summer in Virginia Beach to help Derek's Dad sell pest control.  I wouldn't say this was the highlight of Derek's summer, walking around in blistering heat isn't loads of fun, but it was fun for me to enjoy the beach as often as I could! At the end of our time in Virginia we found out we were expecting another baby.

We arrived back in Utah and spent the rest of the summer the only way we knew how...camping, Derek's hunt with his bro's and Dad, swimming, rodeo's, bear lake, the roundy pond, anything we could think of to enjoy the perfect Cache Valley summers.
I can not leave out the fact that my awesome extended Jensen family did win the Newton Days volleyball tournament.  Yes we are proud!!!

In October we were busy!
I went to visit Shell in CT.

We found out we were having a baby boy. Hooray!!

We also went on a vacation with my family to AZ.  It was freezing in Logan and we were poolside, so yes we had a great time!

We of course enjoyed our sweet girl.  She grew up so much during 2011.  We took away her binki, she potty trained, she got a big girl bed, talks up a storm.  She is just big.  She is by far what made 2011 a great year.  We enjoyed everything so much more because of her.

In December, Brielle turned 2.

We put our house up for sale.

And finally welcomed the holidays with no shortage of celebration and family.

Its funny when you really sit and look back, we can realize just how blessed we are.  There are so many more things I could add of memories with great friends and family, this list will have to do for now.

We already have so much to look forward to in 2012!  Most importantly in just {8} short weeks we will be welcoming our sweet baby boy into our lives.  We can't wait.  We hope to move in to a new house that will accommodate our growing family, and look forward to continued success in Derek's job and more happiness in our home.
