This Morning...

4:40- Wake up, pack winter clothes, chairs, and blankets

5:00- Drive, in the snow, to Layton

6:15- Unpack chairs, bundle up, and wait in the snow

7:00- Still waiting and still snowing

8:00- Still waiting, walked to a hotel looking like a homeless person to get some hot chocolate

9:00- Still waiting

9:30- Line starts moving, get H1N1 vaccine.

Yes this morning Derek and I were one of those people waiting out in the freezing cold to get the H1N1 vaccine. I'm not particularly worried about the effects of the flu for myself, but seeing as it is the only thing we can do for our baby girl to keep her safe from the flu this season, we braved the cold.

It was quite the sight. Apparently some people slept there, some started waiting at 2:30 a.m. ...good to know that others are crazier than we are.

Interesting what people will wait all night for, concert tickets, twilight books...and now getting stabbed in the arm.

First Baby Shower

My wonderful friends threw me a baby shower this weekend. I had so much fun and I feel so lucky to have such great people in my life. Thank you everyone for coming and for all of the gifts. Our baby girl is obviously very loved.

Here is a diaper cake one of my friends made for the party. It is so cute I don't think I'll ever be able to take it apart.
Here is My Mom and Derek's Mom, both so sweet. Thanks for coming and loving us!
I got an awesome swing and bouncer from a group of people. Here is me demo-ing how the seat comes out and turns into the bouncer.

I also got the greatest diaper bag! I have been wanting this ridiculously unnecessary Petunia Pickle Bottom bag, but again my great friends supported my vainness and got it for me. I love it and trust me...it is so cute! Derek asked me if it changes diapers for us....lets just let him think that for the next 7 weeks.

We played some really fun games, which was nice, but I really enjoyed being able to just see everyone and get to catch up. Thanks again everyone for being so sweet and for all of your wonderful gifts!

Now for the belly picture...

Here I am the beginning of my 33rd week. I know I am definitely looking pregnant due to the fact that one of my preschoolers looked at me and said "Teacher you are really chubby." And I'm not sure 3 year olds lie, ok they do. To add to that, today at church, our 18 month old neighbor boy was sitting with us during sacrament and looked at my belly and wouldn't stop saying "ball ball." So if the 3 year old was lying...I don't think the 18 month old was.
