Pics with Santa

During our Holiday Soiree, Santa made a stop at our house to chat with the kids and see what they want for Christmas. Grace and Ava were a little shy at first but warmed up to Santa quickly. Ava told Santa she wanted a purple guitar. Grace told Santa she wanted a pony.

Cheering with cousins

Maggie and Malia joined us this year at the 3 Day cheer stations. The girls loved having Malia to play with all weekend. We went to the morning cheer stations to cheer Emi on. They liked holding the signs and Ava high fived all the walkers.

Car full headed to the cheer station.

Cheer group Emily got a late start so it took her a while to get to the cheer station. Ava kept saying "I am tired of waiting. Where is Emi?" haha! Good thing we had snacks and iphones to keep them busy.

More cheering on Sunday. I had to take Ava across Preston to the Starbucks to go potty. We had to hurry back so we didn't miss Emi.

Ava had to high five all the walkers.

It's a hard life to cheer all morning. Taking a break to have some Capri Sun and Goldfish.

Cutie Pies....Grace, Malia and Ava (all 4 yrs old)

{trick or treat}

Halloween was so much fun this year. We made it all the way down our street and back. We skipped swim class tonight so we could eat dinner and start our trek for candy! Tutu, Papa, Emi and Chris came over for dinner and trick or treat. Papa and Chris stayed home to pass out candy and watch Monday Night Football. Tutu, Emi, Derek and I took the girls on their trek.

This year they went to the house, rang the door bell, said 'trick or treat', got their candy, said 'thank you', then ran to the next door. They had it down!

Look at all that candy!!

Cute photos of Emi and Tutu with the girls!

jcp pumpkin parade

This is the last pumpkin parade for the girls since they will start school next August. This year wasn't as crowded as normal but we still enjoyed walking up and down "main street" at jcpenney. The girls look so cute and loved getting lots of candy!
I love a 4 year old perspective. When we came up to my building and the automatic doors opened, Ava said "magic doors! whoa!". So cute! They were both upset when it was time to leave cause they thought they were staying with me all day at work. haha!

Ava, Lyla, Brooke and Grace (Mindy's little girls joined us in the parade)

fair, family, fun

We had such a great day at the State Fair today!! Daycare was closed so Derek and I took the day off to take the girls to the fair. Grannie and Poppy joined us since they love the fair or do they just love the turkey legs?!!
We hit up the auto show first. The girls loved being able to climb through all the cars and not get yelled at. Both had to 'drive' the cars and then pretend to put on makeup using the mirror. Hilarious!

The funniest part was when Grace wanted me to shut her in the trunk of one of the SUVs.
On our walk over to the dog show, the girls spotted these cut outs so we stopped to take photos.

We really enjoyed the dog show. I think the girls liked the popcorn more then the show. Actually, Ava liked it and asked me "do we get a dog now?" haha! Um...No! My favorite part was Nubs, the 3 legged dog, that jumped into the water. He was really good but the name cracked me up!

Everyone that goes to the State Fair has to have a Fletcher's Corny Dog. It's the best corny dog!! The girls got to experience a Fletcher's today and they loved it.

Poppy got a turkey leg and the girls helped him eat it. Grace tore into that turkey leg and got everything off the bone.

The girls got tired so we started having to carry them. Ava told Derek her feet hurt. We checked out the African Acrobats show and the bird show. The girls got bored so we had to move on to the Midway.
The girls got to go on 3 rides, the motorcycles, ladybug roller coaster and racecars.

Derek enjoyed riding the roller coaster with the girls. It went really fast and then went really fast backwards. The girls screamed the whole time but loved it.

The racecar ride was their favorite. The ride went in circles but on the curves it went fast and threw them around. They were laughing so hard.

We had fried cookie dough and a turkey leg before leaving the fair. Grace and Ava killed that turkey leg!!

The girls were so exhausted by the time we left, Grannie and Poppy had to carry them to the car.

Such a fun day with the girls, Grannie and Poppy. The girls fell asleep on the way to drop Grannie and Poppy off back at home.
