We had basketball at 10am and soccer at 2:15pm. The girls did amazing at both games. Ava had several break aways at basketball and scored 5 shots. Grace was a beast on offense and deffense. She scored 3 shots.
Soccer was a great game for all the girls on the team. Several had their best game of the season. Ava scored a goal for us and Grace, the goalie, stopped all the goals and had some fierce goal kicks.
Seriously, this was the day to come watch them because there wasn't a meltdown or injury or sleepiness. It was just two girls playing like they've played their whole life. One proud momma!

New Sheriff in town!!
Girls school's annual hoe down was tonight. We had so much fun. Derek volunteered to run the Jail so he was sheriff for the night. I chased the girls the whole night. They ate nachos and hot dogs then hit up the bake sale to buy brownies and cake pops. They loved the blow up tunnel, rock climbing and photo booth. It's a couple hours and all the kids love it. Derek said the jail was a hit! I think his tight jeans were rockin! In photo booth pics, Ava is with Addison Summers and Manuela.

Hardwood floors - DUST DUST and more DUST!
I can't believe September is almost gone! This year has been so fast. Right now, I'm sitting upstairs watching season premiere shows on a TV that doesn't have DVR. How did we live like this? haha! I'm such a snob. Why am I upstairs you ask? Well, we are finally getting hardwood floors and my downstairs is a MESS!!! All my downstairs furniture is in my garage. It's been a little crazy these last few days but soon it'll be over and all worth it. Wood floors everywhere downstairs (minus bathrooms and laundry room). No more carpet and no more travertine in the kitchen or entryway. YEAH!!!!
Here are photos of the process. I'll post before and after pics once its all done.
Day 1 - I came home after the gym and everything was moved into the garage.
No more carpet anywhere. Tile still there but soon it would be gone.
Day 2 - the girls having breakfast upstairs at their little table because we don't have any furniture downstairs. They LOVED it! I made blueberry muffins and we had a picnic upstairs.
I came home around 1pm today and plywood was being laid in the LR, entry and hall to my bedroom.
I could barely get the backdoor open to come into the kitchen because "debris" was EVERYWHERE! They got the tile in the kitchen, pantry, breakfast nook and little hall to Derek's office all torn up. My fridge, cabinets and pantry are all taped up so we moved into Emi's for dinner.
The girls examining the work. They had to see if they could lift the buckets of heavy crushed travertine. ha!

First week of first grade
Happy second day! If you know Grace, then you have seen this pout face. I am glad I caught her in all her glory.
