I vaguely remembered Sy Rogers saying retrospect is a gift. It's true, really. But it could also be something that bogs you down, say past experience.
But anyway, after such a great year, how could I say retrospect is a curse? I'm someone who loves to look back at things and see how much things have changed. That's why I appreciated what the P.A.I.D committee did last Saturday. The footages of that St. John's Island youth camp back in 2001 and also all the photo albums of everything we did as CFC...
Stepping into Thanksgiving Hall on Saturday made my hair at my back stand because I've never seen such passion and vibrancy in our youth group, until now. God is truly moving in our generation and no, you can't deny it.
How peculiar is God's way. You can split things up but yet still be in unison. Not only that, growing in numbers as well. Thank Him for His goodness and favour.
Anyway, 2007 couldn't be better. After years of going through motion, I finally get the grip of what life really IS about and gotten the knowledge of so many things, through Him of course. There were ups and downs no doubt, but when our faith is steadily anchored in the Rock of our salvation, for sure nothing will move us whether is it spiritually or emotionally.
Of course it all started from a very harmless CNY meeting at Fang Xian's house that was probably a turning point in my life. (Making it sounds so serious now, haha!) They made an effort to invite me and from then, I got to know people whom impacted my life greatly.
Involved, but not committed. That was me in the past. I knew there was something more. And I think the cell group as a whole grabbed me and showed me how much more life could've been, if I haven't been so blur and deluded (as my blog suggested hahahaha).
Then it was the life-changing experience at the church camp which is another turning point (Okay, I don't know how many degrees I've turned...) I experienced Him and His goodness. Again, met some angels during the trip and didn't look back...
The awe-inspiring YA camp, Infaction, was next and I've learned the real meaning of 'surrendering it all'. We could all give lip services but when we mean something, God means business and takes us seriously.
There are just SO many things to note down and so many things that I've learned this year. It's a really enriching year for me. During the cell retreat, I've got feedback about me stepping up more and became less timid but I know there's more for me. It's just not going to end here and full stop but as we know, He has a greater purpose for everyone and not let us turn into another Harry Kewell or Michael Owen (the comparison here is that they 'peaked' early and didn't fulful their potential as they got older). I'm only 20, so much more to go from here.
For 2008, it's only going to be more challenging for me as I'll be called for National Slav...oh..Service and there'll be less time for myself.
I don't know what 2008 brings but really, bring it on then.
A HUGE shoutout:
God: I told You everything I'm thankful for so I don't wanna reveal it here :p
Gabes: For being a wonderful cell leader and your constant prayer. Accountability made easy because as a cell, we know we can trust euuuuuuu!
FX: Always someone that gives good advices and although can seemed to be a little frivolous and come out with the weirdest of comments, your child-like faith is something I admire and I say... carry on being yourself!
Mian: This one is frivolous on the outside but a human-machine inside. Thanks for all the late night talks and for dragging me back to YA. I think I've never talked to a person SO much in my life (HAHAHA) You're one capable lady so don't listen to the lies of Santa...oh Satan.. and don't be SHY.
Ken: One great leader in the making, eh. Someone to look up to and though he can be serious at times, he can be funny the next. Thank you sir ;) God is gonna use you mightily.
Jayne: The year which I saw a HUGE change in this lady... keep going girl, you're only scratching the surface! It's such great joy to know you so, so much more this year and you're one major blessing in my life this year...and also for years ahead I can see ;)
Sexy Lexy: Haha accountability partner! It's been a great joy knowing you as well and that to see you grow so much in God, it's wonderful. Your vibrancy and energy makes outings and lunch so much more fun :D
Dad & Mum: I know you love Jayne more (HAHAHA) but anyway, thanks for always fetching me from church on Saturday night, giving up their personal time for me. Thank you for the providence, forgiveness and grace and I know that sometimes I can really be quite a brat at home...thank God for the both of you.
Kiat+Yuling+Keat+Jan+Aaron: Great pals stick through the years and I thank you guys for being so understanding over me being always absent on Saturday nights. I know I ps-ed you guys sometimes. Sorry! But it's been pure joy being with you people :)
Well, there are still so many others but hey, thanks for making 2007 such a great one.
PS: 10 more hours to 2008!

Christmas + Cell Retreat
I better update before Wonderwomian comes nagging and asking why I seldom blog nowadays. I have to admit I'm very lazy nowadays and even my football blog, which is supposed to update quite often, is left to run by itself.
So the Christmas period went past like a flash, va va voom! It was one of the busiest period of the year with so many things coinciding, ESPECIALLY this year. It's like a whole madness in December sort of thing, starting from the CFFF and then immediately it was the power-packed YA camp.
Left with only 4 days to shop for Christmas present, we all really followed the way of Aunty Tong as we CHEONNGGGGGGG from here to there to get as much stuff as possible.
As a laid back person, of course I would've hoped that I don't need to cheong here and there to get presents on Christmas eve but as time was running out, mian and me had to run around to get things for the cell leader and for ourselves :p
Don't know why we ended up at Bugis street but what a nightmare. No idea why people would shop there other than getting some cheap (and fake :p) deals.
Then she sourced for her 'formal' dresses while I went off to meet up the guys to watch 'I Am Legend'. Booked 10 tickets and only 9 were there... We met up early so decided to have dinner at Hotdog Factory, which provided poor services sadly, and off to play CS at the uber cyber cafe.
The good ol' days of playing CS. It was the 9 of us against the countless bots that run around like headless chickens. We could only use handgun and you could imagine the thrill.
'I Am Legend' is disappointing. An okay start and then it went pear shaped totally. Only saving grace was the acting of Will Smith. Other than that, I won't recommend this abomination of a film. Better to spend your $9.50 on some Pokemon cards and entertain yourself than watching this...
Then we went over to Gary's house for some fun and we reached Yishun at exactly 12midnight. Assasins Creed, Call of Duty 4, Mahjong, you name it. But I had to leave at 3 plus because of the early service the following day. Cabbing back from Yishun costs $11. Scary thoughts eh?
Christmas service was short yet impactful in a way. It's always nice to see people coming back to Christ on an unforgettable day. You could ask me when did I accepted Christ and I wouldn't know but they can't forget! Just a reminder of God's goodness and mercy every year.
Then it was utter chaos after the service because everyone was busy giving out presents, shouting each other's name, walking around and cam-whoring. We had a cell photo with some honorary cell members BUT cell leader was missing. The term cell-leader is true in some aspect this time :p
It was a baffling choice to have lunch at KFC because everyone's wearing pretty nicely and then we had to eat unhealthy food. HAHA.
After much discussion, we decided to split up because some wanted to sit around and chill while some are worn out with all the shopping. Alex, Jayne, Kenneth and me decided to go for a walk at Parkway. It was a wonderful time of crapping and saying nonsensical stuff at Coffee Bean for hours. I know, I'm a traitor....
Then it was the cell retreat at some ulu-ated place all the way east at Loyang. Met up with majority of the cell at Tampines for major shopping.
And so we had to carry bags and bags of stuff and walk quite some distance to the bungalow. We didn't know we walked past Old Changi Hospital until Miss Problematic told us later while walking Megan out.
Well the bungalow is HUGE compared to those teeny weeny ones you get at Downtown East. It's also quite well equipped in the kitchen and had 3 rooms.
Was supposed to play an 'ice breaker' game before going on to the sharing session but time was running out so we got onto the serious stuff. It's probably like a year-end review of the cell as a whole and also as a member. We looked back at the goals we set back in July for the cell presentation and though some of us didn't really meet the target, we should just take it as a reminder as to what we've promised God about and not take things lightly.
It was an encouraging session as everyone said something to build up each other and it was a session for me because I like to encourage people with words and makes you think about how much everyone had grown.
Hmm, since Mian wrote something about 2007, I'll write one about myself for the next post probably tonight? If I continue writing, it's going to be a super boring post as I find it.
Writing without inspiration is really quite taxing. I hate it when my posts are disjointed like these so...I shall stop writing now...

"Cry out to the Lord your God, cry out to Him in times of trouble and in times of need. You're standing on victory ground but there will be things going against you. Trust in Him fully and cry out to Him...."
Ya'know, it didn't take long for everything to fall into place. It's really one of those things that I've come to realise throughout this camp and that if you've made a commitment to God, He WILL honour it. That's why it's dangerous to give Him lip service, which I'm quite guilty of sometimes.
I don't really know where to start actually...this camp has been amazing, one that transforms and one that made me understand many principles of God. I think most importantly, He thought me how to surrender it all to him.
I think sometimes we take 'surrendering it all to him' far too lightly to realise the consequence of this line that sounds so simple. I admit I used to be one who would say that yet struggles to 'let go of the balloon'. So many times.
But I'm so sure and I'm adamant that I finally know what it really means to surrender your life to Him and give everything you have to Him. And I can already tell you it's not easy at all. And I mean it!
Should I stumble again, I'm caught in Your grace
But you see, that's why you need God...that's why you need the Tower of strength to carry you through. Only by surrendering do you let go off yourself, relying not on our own strength and fall into the mighty embrace of God.
The intro to this whole blog post is actually what Ps. Jonathan told me during one of the alter calls and I know deep within that making a commitment with him means that you'll be brought out of comfort zone and we have to start chucking away things that we love so much yet are not of His will or things that hinder us from moving onto the next level with Him.
Yours, everything I am, for Your Kingdom's cause
There are really a lot of things that went on during the camp that it's so difficult to gather all the thoughts and then type it down in a single post. That's why I really have to talk to God even more and ask Him about His plans, especially those that was prophesied over me... I need strategy to realise them.
Also this camp helped me to once again realise God's goodness and how He always works in a way which we don't understand.
Going all the way to Batam for a camp is a way to move out from the hustle and bustle yet how 'coincidental' is it to meet one of my long time friend over there. I know deep inside it's no coincidence. Although they (I know one of them and he introduced me to another guy) didn't manage to attend our service, I'll take it as outright in-your-face sign that God has something in His mind and that we're to cross our path. Mind you, I didn't see him for years.
Only regret was that he did agreed to come for our services but he had things on... maybe I didn't try my best to get him. Although it's so good to hear from Annabelle that they actually did have a peek inside but probably didn't dare to interrupt us.
But I'm now making an effort and I've already asked if he wants to come for our YA service tomorrow. I know that this isn't the end....
The art of losing myself, in bringing You praise
I admit we really don't have too much time to talk and make new friends due to the extremely packed schedule but indeed, it was a very fulfilling and purposeful camp. We didn't spend too much time having our own 'fun' like playing cards and water bombs but how bout I say cleaning up the orphanage was fun?
Or what about the challenge, which was to lead the morning prayer service with a short sharing with my fellow youths despite only having less than 3 hours to prepare for it? If it wasn't from God and by God, I swear I can NEVER do it.
Speaking infront of crowds is never my forte, you know it. I'm best at one-on-one or maybe at times two-on-one situations because I love to be a 'personal person' yet I know God has a greater calling for me. I need to move out of my comfort zone and this is just part of something He is doing in preparation for what He has in store for my in the future.
It's nice to hear some of us going into the 'next level' with God. We have our Auntie Tong who started the whole holy laughter thingy which I shouldn't laugh at or I might join in the club as well :x We had wonderful testimonies and great messages from God through our own youths.
I myself had encounter with God as well and that I must say on the last night, I knew I had to 'cling onto the garment of Jesus' because I don't want to go back to Singapore with not a change whatsoever.
That was also when I realise how it is to be so desperate for Him and His touch. When the worship songs belted out, I cried my heart and lungs out. The Lord just convicted me and Holy Spirit revealed His faithfulness to me through the years.
I cried so much I finally understand how Hannah felt when she prayed and wept to the point there wasn't a word out of her mouth. I myself can't seemed to gather enough strength to even sing. It was just wave and wave of tears (and mucus HAHA).
Maybe it was a healing treatment in advance, for He knows there are some things I could only take as much. I don't really, exactly know why I wept so much but I take it that God just knows...
I promise I'll write more in the next few days so do stay tune... So much thoughts to pen down. Be kind to me... give me a nudge on MSN if you need more info :p

Today We....
.. Wayanged and jalaned alot.
But before I go into that... I must say thank God that I'll be serving the national service for the police force. I've prayed about it before and I actually wanted to join the police because of how I'm a.. (the following might NOT be true) upright person and wants to set things straight in our society.
It's really wonderful like how I prayed for Starbucks and I got it....then police? Wow praise God. But well, I won't want to change my mentality into thinking that it's going to be a smooth ride through and things will be easy.
After all it's still national slavery *cough* sorry, service... so there's still things that I know I won't be used to...
Okay anyway, I'll jot down what happened today at the CFFFFFFFF before I become so busy with camp and stuff. FYI, I'm off to Batam from Monday to Thursday so.. I better blog before I forget and it all become a memory recollection session..
Though the main thing was on today, we had to prepare for everything yesterday and we really stayed back till around 1am before heading home...yea from East Coast to Yio Chu Kang...then back there again at 9am.
It's such a delight to see SO many people around helping out and there seemed to have a very distinct festive feel to it :D
Well it was a really busy day yet it seemed to past by very fast. Maybe because it was 'action-packed' and filled with activities so time seemed to fly past.
Oh and I watched the drama THRICE. HAHA. Watched with Dawn the first time because Alex ps-ed us (well he appeared later to join us..) ...then with mian and winnie...and then with janice and jackie...
Well I must say JOB WELL DONE. Considering the practice and everything started off only a few weeks back, it's definitely one helluva good show! There was laughter, tears and 'food for thought'. Still has got the elements to make you burst out laughing after watching it 2-3 times.
Well, nice to see so many different people as well. Chairman Tong brought her huge followings to the event. But it's a pity that her best follower, Julia, didn't make it in time. I do think she had an 'eventful' day over here because of the 'sprained leg'. Don't know what happened...*cough* :D
After cleaning up the aftermath, went to where else but BEER GARDEN for dinner. Really enjoyable one because we all tried to imitate auntie fang's favourite 'YAY' and 'HELLO' and whatnots. Haha, Gabesy still does the best ones though :P
Ok, so tired. I tried to sleep at 3 yesterday but some flying cockroach decided to appear and I had a wild goose chase with a Beygone. Ciaos!

SILENCE! I Kill YOU!
Hahaha so the supposed games comm meeting today became a watch-Jeff Dunham-session. Alex, Jarrold, Grace, Dawn and me were laughing like crazy in the youth room when we're supposed to do the posters....woops!
Seriously, watch it. I'm amazed at how he managed that. And IT'S REALLY FUNNY :D

hohoho!
Again another late, late update. Now I don't really know what to update but anyway...the Christmas Open House was really fun :D It's really a once in a lifetime experience and I won't forget all the laughters and shouting during that 2 LONG hours.
It's so fun to have so many colleagues working together at the same place, same time because usually we work in shifts so the people who works at night seldom sees the daytimers.
There were at least 11 of us cramped in that bar and imagine all of us wearing that Christmas hat, making drinks. It was really, really like a marketplace because a lot of drink calling and shouting going on :D
We even had a countdown till 5pm and we're making jokes about how the frap station is going to be so uber busy because all the clueless ppl will come and grab their mocha and toffeenut. I was stationed there with Wenny and I must say, to be there, you need at least a year of experience because it's non-stop like a production line.
We even had a little joke that we'll make all the mocha and coffee fraps out first and if they want peppermint, we'll just put the syrup in after that :p
Clement came to my rescue and we swapped position so I took over bar alongside Mark. Haha business wasn't that good there (obviously) although suddenly everyone starts drinking hot chocolate.....we ALL know why....because it's $6....
The queue didn't need too much time to build up and in 10 minutes time, it was already like 80-100m long.
Felix and Katie was at the register getting orders. Knight was cup marking, Rahman was expediting drinks and our poor Sam was running in and out bringing in new frap mixes, cream mixes, chocolates, milks. Seriously 'bao ka liao' for us.
2 hours actually pass quite fast in comparison to a nice quiet Harbourfront day :p I should've taken a shot of the aftermath though...I forgot totally about it...
Okay enough of rambling. I'm off

Belated Post....
Wha as I'm typing this super belated post, I feel SO tired. Today has to be the most 'interesting' day I had at Starbucks because.... our La Marzocco machine, or that huge machine that produces the espressos BROKE DOWN!
Yes, so for a few hours, we were told not to sell any coffees. Had to call the technician down to have a look.
The day started off quite badly because I woke up with a stiff neck and then it was raining cats and dogs out there. Then the train decided to play a trick on me together (yes, I mean the SMRT and the SBS ones). I missed the 'red line' one and had to wait for 8 minutes then nearly missed another of that at Dhoby Ghaut. Sign of things to come..
First customer of the day was a really difficult lady.... shan't continue about that. We're employed to be people's punching bag and victims of AP people.
Then we ran out of vanilla syrup......yes the most important syrup of all and we ran out of it. No Caramel Macchiato and no Vanilla latte then. One of the partner had to run over to Vivo to get it while me and Sam had to manage the store on our own.
2 men on bar during lunch time. Suicidal! Then we ran out of hot lids for the takeaway cups. Great...
Supposed to clock off at 6 but ended up finishing at 10. Had SO many things to do, so little people and so many customers. Oh dear...worst thing was we're all preparing for tomorrow's open house and we had to make like 10 litres of frap mix in advance for tomorrow.
Okay shan't complain anymore. I noticed I haven't blog on something major yet...it was quite belated already..
We celebrated Wonderwomian's birthday last Friday at Sarah's house! The superhero girl herself decline to have any of her photos on here since there's a stalker red alert recently so...I'll try and help :)
Supposed to meet up with fangxian at SingPost to go for grocery shopping and ingredient picking but she didn't turn up and met up with Shujing instead. We did everything pretty quickly and got almost everything except something called 'peccan' which I've still got no idea till now..
Headed down to Avon Road and then while the 2 girls are busy writing the card, I had to start off making the cake on my own :( Do you want to eat the cake made by the hands of a guy who doesn't have a clue about cakes or even, any experiences of making it? Heh
Managed to finish everything and did everything nicely EXCEPT we bought one 'stick' of butter rather than two. I didn't know one 'stick' here means one block...i thought one stick literally :p So if it tastes bad, you know why!
Anyway Sarah and FX conned mian and asked her to meet them at 7.30. By then we're struggling because the supposed delivery stall was unreachable and so we had to make do with pizza delivery again.
Soon she arrived and we did what we're supposed to do. Then we had a game of 'blind cooking' inspired by Ratatouille the movie. The girls are supposed to guide the 'blind men', namely Jeremy, Kenneth, Alex and me. We had to crack the egg, stir, knock into each other, CUT THE APPLES and bake it.
I think everything went smoothly except one part when I don't know who (am I supposed to know? :p) poured the flour onto the floor. Haha!
While some of us are 'distracting' mian, some went to make the 2nd part of the cake which is the gingerbread 'men' with the letters 'Happy Birthday'.
Then we tasted the 'blinding' effort of our apple danish and we did a 'blinder'! Haha pun intended. It was really good and I still remember how nice it smell. It's a success. But sadly, the one which we did with our eyes opened wasn't that good and some parts were a little burnt. Heh.
Then we blindfolded mian and tested her on how well she can pick up the taste identify all the ingredients we put inside the gingerbread cake. And wow, she did REALLY well. It's so shocking. It's like testing a pro on what she knows best...tsk tsk
Okay la I'm so tired to blog further already. I'll be off and stop my rambling....bye!

I had this R E A L L Y weird dream last night....
I woke up laughing at it and I think It'll be really awkward if it ever happen. Oh good thing is that they say dreams usually represent the opposite of reality so I guess it's not so bad :p
Anyway it's probably too much coffee la...I've been working 4 days in a row now and I'm still going to work tomorrow before my 4 days off.
Sunday was supposed to be really bad because I'm on the extended shift from 3 to 11... But well, customers were strangely good that day. They were really friendly....or was it just me?
Two partners from Liat Towers came down to study and apparently they were fooling around with us because they wanted really weird drinks and purposely called the drinks in the opposite sequence...like an 'ice triple grande non-fat latte' ... they call a grande latte...cold one...skinny and an extra shot!
But they were funny and being a nice partner, gave them a free cheesecake...since it's supposed to end up in the rubbish bin so might as well....
Then I was making drinks for this lady so I just ask simple questions like 'whatchooo doing here at Harbourfront and then she go on to talk about how she went jean yip to cut her hair and how it was done.......okayyyyyyy I appreciate that HAHA.
Funniest of all. I was serving drinks to these regular American customer and while waiting for his drink....he asked his colleague:
'HEY, WANNA GO FOR MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE CONCERT? IT'S GONNA BE A BANG MAN!'
He's at least 45 years old, no kidding.
Considering kiat is asking me to go, maybe I will. 90 bucks isn't too bad to see them, eh?

Went for my first dental appointment in eons and boy, what a bloody cleanup, literally :D There was an intense pain on the bottom right and the panic-stricken mum of my thought it is the fearsome wisdom tooth.
But woke up this morning feeling alright but went for the dental appointment anyway. The last time I went was probably when I was in secondary 2 or something. HA HA. So the dentist is a local politician's brother (don't tell you who!) and once he saw it, he said 'major cleaning, man!' :p
It proved to be quite painful really and it's not nice seeing yourself spitting out gallons of blood and beer garden leftovers (HAHAHAHA) :p Now my mouth feels weird because the teeth feels so 'bare'. Oh well...
Back tracking to Friday, it was one heck of a busy day. It was supposed to be our store outing and we're not required to fill in any time slot and volunteer to work on that day but silly billy me accidentally wrote it down the previous week, completely forgetting about it and suffered the consequence :p
The crowd was non-stop, very unlike normal harbourfront days. It's the cruise. Oh the nightmare. At one point, the entire store was filled with ang mors. No wonder my manager said it's 'respect the ang mor day'.
Worst still some Japanese came and asks us about the Singapore mug when we're doing 10 drinks. I had to 'beg his pardon' for 5 times before I got what he meant. So much for working at tourist attraction =\
Then we had the almighty lunch time slam (woohoo) and when we thought the storm was over, this dude came over with a lady.... we thought 2 drinks.... and he said '20 CODs please'. (COD=coffee of the day).
I thought I had a hearing problem. 20?
Then this weird gal who asked for a rapsberry mocha frap....who on earth drinks that? Anyway, I made it and then she said 'oh, I don't taste any rapsberry'. Obviously the fruitiness of rapsberry doesn't go well with mocha you genius. But I remade it with a smiley face anyway :D
Then I had to fly down to downtown east for the store chalet. Only just stepped into the room, I had to drink a couple of sips of whiskey already. Tiredness + whiskey = dizziness.
Nice to see some old faces like Jai and Hidayah :) Your dear friend here was so bored that he volunteered to peel all the prawns. What a nice boy, right.
Sadly I had to rush off to Thomson to meet the dudes at prata house. Was delayed over some drama-mama situation. I said I'm off and this other gal partner went 'eh go off never tell me!'. So everyone went 'OHHH OHHHHH OHHHHHHHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT HUH yada yada blah blah'.
Shock and horror. I thought it only happens in primary school :p Nah just kidding guys.
Then the 'as usual' excuse of being late is the dearth of taxis. I know they are having a hard time due to the oil situation and the amount of moolah they have to fork out just to drive a cab but I think they have some issues.
One said he's going to makan. The other said he needs to go somewhere when he didn't clearly state where. Aiya, waiting for the clock to strike midnight then say la.... Can fetch me to prata house first then makan right?
I thought cab is a pay-and-you're-on-your-way service but now it seemed like we need to fit in the schedule of the cabby before we can get anywhere. Not the first time!
Obviously, nice to see the guys again. Good to see them still ever so loving with their gals as well! So I went down for a cup of teh tarik (yes...$15 cab fare for a cup of tea). Shared their experience on throwing live grenades which sounds so exciting yet I must start praying that my fellow solders and I won't be a bunch of blur cocks because you do know how lethal that 'potato' is, eh?
True story: my dad sent a SMS that went 'coming home for dinner?' on Sunday evening and very 'fortunately', Jayne was checking out my phone and...she actually replied....
'don't tell you'.
The cheek!

The Update That Came A Week Late
Sorry la, busy with alot of things :p
Anyway last week we celebrated Sarah and Jeremy's birthday and gave them an utter surprise over at their house! Well, you could say it's a success because we had fun and we had a LOT of food :D
Met up with mian at Parkway to get the groceries and the sushi delivery thingy before cabbing down to collect the present for Sarah, a bean bag. Don't know where the wonderwomian got her lobang from but we had to collect it not from a shop but someone's house.
We had to assemble the bean bags there and what a hassle really. Didn't expect it to be so ma fan la...
Then the kind Caucasian lady offered to drive us over to Sarah's house, which is pretty far and considering we're already quite lost, we accepted the offer. To me, I think the ang mors are all really nice people. Even working at Starbucks, they are usually the customers that joke with you while Singaporeans only give a stupid black and smelly face ALL the time.
Oh and they don't even acknowledge your greetings. @!#$@$@
Back to topic, she drove us there and I think me and mian would've died if she didn't drive us because it was really quite far away! Thankfully her daddy is a walking street directory and we made our way there....and I rang the wrong doorbell OOPS.
Kenneth, fangx and matt were already there, writing cards and then we started off with the food. Well, mian bought a whole load of Swedish food because we've decided to make it into like a Swedish and Asian food crossover and she got some really weird stuff from Ikea the previous day.
Oh yes, Swedish meatballs :D
The Swedish Ikea princesstartaaaaaaa. It's seriously very nice, taste very much like ice cream cake!
Absolutely no idea how she thought of such stuff but it's Swedish biscuits (is it?) with cream cheese and salmon on top! Tasted really good.
Another bunch with Mozerella cheese on top...
The sushis and the pizze which was done out of creativity. The Swedish bread was really big and it looked like a pizza so we did it (more like a trial and error) and it was a success I think :)
Then you have ANOTHER Swedish bread with cream cheese and salmon on top. Alot of fiber man...
Sarah came home quite late from the CFFFFFFFF meeting and we surprised her in the dark while Jeremy's one was kinda funny because he was in his room and when we surprised him, he actually slammed the door and the reason being he saw fang xian's face. HAHA
Had a nice dinner (at 11+) before trying to do the Discipleship book, as much as possible. We took a total of 3 hours (I think) and STILL we haven't finish it. Oh dear...40 minutes, who're you kidding?
After that, we started watching 'Click' and I think I fell asleep...because I watched it before and I don't find it nice....and then they went on to watch 'Chicago', which isn't my type of show and I really slept through it.
Alright, that's about it. There's nothing much to blog about so there you go, group picture :)
Ta!

Is This The....
Most depressing mission in video gaming history? I played Call of Duty 4 and I thought so... :(
Shooting down terrorists, being the hero saving the pilot only to die because of a massive nuclear explosion. Seriously, that last mission there revolutionises modern day video games and it's one of the most awesome set piece I've EVER seen in a game!
Oh well, Paul Jackson died anyway =\
Okay la, I noticed I haven't been update about my life. I'll do so.... soon :D

Funniest of the lot. Ha!
Remembered how the whole bar burst into laughter because of this 'free kick'....
Good way to play a prank on sleeping colleagues :D
'Heat-seeking' missile
And lastly...who could ever forget this...

Getting The Hang Of Working Life...
Welcome to November already!
Anyway, yesterday work ended at 1245am in the morning. Yep you heard right! Now I've learned not to work on the last day of the month....
Well, it's the regular stock taking and also changing of all the promotional drinks and this time round, it's a little more tricky because we're changing all the cups, lips and displays, all ready for the Christmas season already! We even had a christmas tree up at that cosy area :p
The real 'action' was after our shop closed, everyone were counting the mugs, cups, pastry bags, forks, spoons...lollipops....yes....everything must be counted. Then we had to take down the display for the disturbingly disgusting green tea promotion (Hallelujah, finally!) and it's now Peppermint Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte and....the third drink just escaped my mind HAHA
Hmm, well good things does come to an end and quick. Yvonne and Huda are both transferring out to the new Thomson Plaza branch, which I'm contemplating on moving there since it's SO much closer.....but well...
Adding to that, Roni left last month for Great World after 2 years at Harboufront... seemed like everyone's leaving...
Then the two replacements, Jai and Hidayah, worked here for a month and then are transferring out again. Oh dear.
But anyway they got their 'treat' last night! Both got the 'ice water treatment' from us as we carried them to the sink and poured an entire tub of ice water on them! Probably showing them our 'appreciation' and 'thanks' HAHA
Jai was from TTSH and now posted to United Square...well she say she'll remember me. Duh! I made her do so much extra work! HAHA. Twice she closed her cash register and I unknowingly (as blur as I always am) went to use it and she had to void the items...write report.
Then once I did a credit card transaction and accidentally pressed on Nets! Bwahaha and she had to swipe her own credit card and paid for it :( But she'll probably remember me for pouring that tub of cold water on her la!
When we carried her, she didn't put up much struggle also la. She was super small size anyway so it was easy. BUT for Hidayah, she is much taller and was kicking and struggling when Clement and Felix carried her. The shop across us which was having it's renovation (yes at that time) thought we're gonna do something naughty to her :p
When we finished everything it was already so late and I still had to go over to the Vivocity branch to run some errand. Shared a cab back with Clement, Fila and Dinn. By the time I reached home....probably 1.30?
Oh wellllll, that's life for you! I hate changes but what can I do really. It seemed like God knows I hate these kinda stuff and He arranged things like this to remind me not to take things for granted.
PS: The security guard in Vivocity was walking around, blasting Umbrella. Honestly.

*if there's suspicious articles.... please call 999*
Uhm...I was about to call.... Haha! Okay joking. Anyway thankyou Jayne for the wonderfully gigantic and 'surprising' belated birthday present :p Transformed indeed... See, it's so big I have to put on the floor to take a photo...
Anyway, yes you might have noticed, I haven't updated in a long while! I also don't really know where to start la! Benny Ho...working...etc.
So last Friday I was working at Bugis Junction because...they had store outing so we were the chosen ones to take care of their store and boy, was it a disaster! Haha. It was busy, non stop crowds and even the cash register broke down during lunch time! What better time, seriously.
Then saw this really irate and unreasonable customer that argued and screamed at one of the girls at the top of her lung because she's rushing off and angry. Okay...you don't need to make a big fuss really, if you're angry and angsty, find a counsellor, not Starbucks.
Only because of experience in VivoCity and Bugis Junction that I realise....how cosy...and nice HarbourFront is..! Haha maybe God just put me in those places to tell me how blessed I am..knowing that I'm never someone that is good under pressure and when it's busy, I tend to become kan-chiong spider. You know I'm never the adrenaline pumpin type of dude (unless I'm playing football :D)
So yesterday I really went round Singapore in a round (almost). Down to Boon Lay for lunch and muggerathon (she was, not me) with jayne and I betrayed Starbucks because I had Coffeebean coffee. Sigh...but it's okay! Let's just say I'm doing sampling HAHA.
Then it was to auntie fang's house for cell and I noticed her house is infested with that torto toy. I think there's at least 6 of them and she said one of the funniest thing I've EVER EVER EVER heard.
'Is Jesus so small that He could sit on the right hand of God?'
HAHAHAHA oh dear. I nearly fell off the floor (I don't know how) while you could figure the laughter followed by that.
Today was my third time doing opening (7am...) and yea, I was late. I thought I could get a cab at 6.30 but NO! No cabs at all! Thank God daddy offered to fetch me over. And thankfully Jai (manager on duty) was very forgiving and understanding :D
Okay...finally I'm done! Don't complain about me not updating okay!

Twen-teen Birthday!
Hahaha being the owner of deluded illusions, I must therefore lie to myself quite often and now I must convince myself that I'm still young and I'm still a teen....not :D
Don't know where to start and who to thank but nevertheless, let's do things in the chronological order, starting off with Saturday. My poor dude pals are only ever free on Saturdays because they've been taken in by the National Slavery company named NS.
Well they came over for foot and foodball...oh wait food and football...It was the Merseyside derby and you know it's not very nice for such an important match to fall on a day prior to your birthday because you might get so affected by the outcome...
thankfully Liverpool won :D
Weekiat and Yuling arrived first and then Keat Hwee + Vanessa. The one that was supposed to be out of the house at 6 plus and reach the earliest came at 8 (yaaaa we know whyyyyyy) and Aaron came from his second home, Beach Rd army market :P
As lazy people, we just ordered Canadian pizza and then became potato couches, watched Flashpoint....you know...the chinese action movie which people fly around kick tables, smashing into chairs and ladders...shot in the butt in mid air with a Arctic sniper and wouldn't die etc. etc :D
Good entertainment and good guessing which object is going to be smashed next.
Then Jackie came for a brief moment to enjoy some air con before everyone heading home. It must be a good day for the cab drivers...well let's just say we contributed back to the society...
Aaron being too engrossed at watch Nani, Tevez, Rooney, Anderson, Giggs and generally just ManYOOOOO that he doesn't want to take a photo with me :(
The new muscle-man ;)
Still the ever lovely couple heh
Then stayed up talking to random people....and then Rugby World Cup finals at 3am. Sadly, no tries. All penalty conversion. Boohoo.
So obviously, woke up this morning with a splitting headache and feeling reaaaally tired...Good service though. Spirit filled and one salvation! Yahoo!
Then as a tradition of our cell, we need to get 'tortured' in some way before the birthday plan could be executed. They played a cruel game on me called Sudoku and I had to fill in the entire thing to get the clue as to where I'm supposed to go....
Being really slowwww and tired...I was stoning and only then Auntie Fang gave away the crucial clue.... 6, 2, 3 and 5. Oh yes, PizzaHut....and I haven't even complete the Sudoku yet :D
Was forced to wear the party hat around and when we arrived at PizzaHut, the birthday song started playing and it was beautifully sung by a lady with a sweet voice (Hayleyyyyy is that youuuu?!?! HAHA) and yes feeling abit red-faced about it =p
Thankfully, there was no cheesecake but cupcakes! Oh look at that man...haha! I know I love football but eh not so obsessed already la okay! :p
PS: I didn't eat the club crest.. :D

My usual retarded smile and Alex with his HOT pose
Achtung! This is the first time WonderwoMIAN is caught on camera! Haha!
HOT pose

I know Auntie Fang will print this out and swoon over his cute little Matthew :D
As footballers always are, they fight on the pitch. There was a boot in the arse, a head butt and a very well hidden punch.
Anyway thankyou to my lovely cellies for a wonderful party and of course the presents! I'm quite awe-struck as to how you people can always do such stuff even when your schedules are so packed and busy with school.
Your creativity amazes me and I don't know how you guys managed to make a picture book out for me when I'm like ...so...bland...HAHA.
The notebook with the little music player attached...
I LOVE this page :D
And of course the cup with the cell photo and Liverpool emblem on top. Yahoo!
Not money-lenders...
Haha okay people I don't think I can ever thank ENOUGH but yes, I appreciate everything that has been done. Birthday is really kind of over-rated in a sense because it's just another day but I appreciate it when such efforts are put in. Even just sending me a message or meeting up with me is good enough for me :D
Easily contented okayyy....but if you still owe me present...you better bring them to me NOW!
HAHAHA :D Okay kidding....
Credits:
Thank you to Weekiat, Yuling, Keat Hwee, Vanessa, Aaron, Janice and Jackie for dropping by my house...
And Alex, Kenneth, Mian, FX, Matthew, Gabesy and Jaynee for taking your time to have lunch with me :D
And others for your wishes..

I'm so tired but I still wanna blabber on!
Today's YA service had been very impactful and I think my eyes went red everytime Rach mentions one of her stories that she got from her boys home. I'm quite an emotional person so you know, abit and then it'll be overflowed with mucus and honey...HAHA
It's such a timely reminder that we all have a ministry of reconciliation and it just struck me like what on earth have I been doing all these while? I then thought back of what happened during church camp and the vision I saw. It's like a reminder to me once again that God's heartbeat is definitely the people out there.
What have I been doing :(( So caught up with my own stuff and everything is me me and more me.
Then looking around me, there is hypothetically a gold mine waiting to be harvested... I don't think I've been doing enough...
Well, I was half correct. They were indeed needing people to help them do a MASSIVE wash-up. But I was shocked to see TWO people on the floor and a HUGE crowd of people. Apparently, two other people decided not to turn up for work and walking into the store just painted me a picture of a warzone.
Okay firstly, the store room was HUMONGOUS. Then I saw the washing sink. Oh my oh my! I don't have to describe the horror....
So I was there for one hour and all I did was washing, putting into dishwasher, go out and collect more plates and cups, come back in to wash again. Yea, that's what you call 'time flies'.
Back to my store, I say 'HALLELUJAH THANK GOD!!'. Back to familiar territory and familiar faces. Only then I realise how fortunate I have been because no matter how busy it was at HarbourFront, it still wouldn't be anything like VC really.
Learn to appreciate, James!
Haha such a weird team really..
OKAY OFF TO BED. Parents are ushers tomorrow so poor me...have to wake up early again...

Hello, my house has just been ransacked and 'raided' by my dear cell members.
Okay so they were playing around with the fishy soft toy, opening my wardrobe for inspection, stealing biscuits, laughing at the elephant soft toy which was on the arms of Optimus Prime and giggling at my childhood photos.
Fine fine. At least my room is as neat as it has always been :D
After everything, we only had 1 hour for actual cell and although again there was some distractions here and there, we still managed to finish 4 pages *clap clap*. Supposed to go off at 10 on the dot but being a very intellectual cell, we started discussing about free will, God's plan for us...how unfair is it that Adam sinned and we all have to bear the consequence....Angels...why Lucifer fell..how pride got into Satan and what is the opposite of love.
WOW. Okay I'm quite sure some of them are still on their way home hahahaha well put yourself in my shoes once in a while :p
Just Read Acts 27:13-44....
You know, it's the word of the season I think. It's evangelism!
Okay obviously this is from an alternate perspective of things. How often do we associate 'evangelism' with preaching the gospel through our words or even some would say, 'shafting the bible down another's throat'. Yes...but...
How about evangelism through actions?
The passage was about Paul traveling on a ship to Rome and the ship was unfortunately caught in a mighty storm that lasted what, 14 days? It's crazy and the story can really seemed like a modern day Hollywood movie but then putting things into context, it definitely makes some sense.
He was on the ship with hundreds of other sailors whom obviously panicked when the storm hit and all of them, like ordinary humans, think they're gonna die and not going to make it out alive. But here stands a man who proclaimed that no one will die.
Quite anti-climatic right?
But it just took a man of great faith to really change the situation around. We all know Paul is a man of faith and that his live yields completely to God. It was through his actions that ultimately got the people alive without 'losing a strand of hair on their head'.
So how does that really apply to us? Hmmm, just look at the people around us as the sailors. I mean our friends who aren't saved, our workplace colleagues and our school mates. It's really stormy out there no matter how stable our economic is or how Osama decides not to do anything silly anymore.
It's messy and it's ugly out there. We know that we have in hand, the marvelous light that will lead and direct people out of the storm like how Frodo (Sam later picked it up) was handed that phial of light to ward off the big ugly spidey (HAHA).
Back to point, sometimes we're not aware but what we do to the people around us really does mean a great deal because in a world that is devoid of hope and love out there, we really could be the ultimate difference because of our faith in Jesus Christ.
With our actions of faith, people will start to notice that 'aura' that emanate from us and that the hope and love of Christ really do radiate out of us. It's all down to our actions. We can talk all we want but we need to ACT!
So in whatever we do, do it with a heart that is filled with faith and that alone means a whole lot to the 'lost' out there for they will look to us for directions. And only we could be the signboard to direct them back to the 'real path'.
:) *gasping for air*

Please tell me you'll stay...
Use me as you will
Pull my strings just for a thrill
And I know I'll be okay
Though my skies are turning gray
I will never let you fall
I'll stand up with you forever
I'll be there for you through it all
Even if saving you sends me to heaven
One set of lyrics. So many different contexts....
Prayer board is finally up after so much delay and procrastination from us. It's finally up with some new prayer for the people to pray about and it does definitely look much better now!
Before that, met ms tong up for lunch at Bedok, listened to her sing those chinese song only your dad and mum would listen to (=p) waited for her 2 hour driving lesson at the library, reading the biography of Dwight Eisenhower and then back to church for the two-men show.
Thankfully Gaius and Sean were around to make more noise and keep me awake...
Okay I'm so tired now. Been working since 7am this morning. Thanks 'brudder' for dropping by ;) Now I'll have to go around explaining you're not my girlfriend.

hello!
Blogging straight from church! We came back from lunch, all drenched because it was raining cats, dogs and llamas. Defiant of the weather, we braved it with umbrellas (ella ella ella ella ella ella eh eh eh eh eh eh eh) and when we finally got on the bus, we didn't know where we wanted to go!
Dropped at the beer garden bus stop only to realise....... it was flooded and there was no seat at beer garden. Hallelujah... So, some of us went further and crossed to street to get to KFC. By then the rain was somehow 'mitigated' by the hand of God....
These few days had been topsy turvy if that's how you describe a rollercoaster week. Actually, I don't even know how last week passed by so fast when there's nothing interesting of note happened. Life's just... like that... you know...
I got my first ever pay from starBUCK$ and then NuffNang finally decides to send in the 2 $100 cheques, all in one day. So now I really have to tithe and pay the 'central bank' faithfully.
Then the long awaited 'akan-datanged' NS letter finally arrived. First thought was ... "HUH NOVEMBER 3RD?!" Then I saw 2008.... oh... March 11th it is. Ya, then it was the thought of 'I must wait so long againnnn'. But at least God answered my prayer, of not going in on December because there'll be so many happening things going on during December.
We have the YA camp, Christmas fun fair, Christmas, New Year and also our beloved cell is having the overnight 'thrashing' session at East Coast chalet on the 26th so I would really miss out on ALOT if I go in during December...right?
Okay la, I'm off. Hopefully next week will be better...

Hello people!
I feel a little odd because I don't think I haven't praise God enough this week. Saturday I didn't go for YA while Sunday was usher's duty downstairs. But nevermind, I hope the cough and flu-like syndrome doesn't spoil my week.
Saturday was work, work and more work. I stayed back for almost 1 hour because there is soooo many customers at that time so helped out the team la...after all they're the one who got us pocketed an extra $50 this month!
Anyway I think I'm really a comic relief in the store for my blurness. I admit! But well, don't really take it to heart la...laugh along at myself la..
Then the dudes were finally back into civilization so met up with them pretty late in the night at Ice Kimo. Seriously, 2 weeks make a BIG difference...They're all so dark and tanned with a WHOLE lot of army stories to tell. Some are so silly...
(Sergeant walks past)
Recruits: Good afternoon, Sergeant XXXX
XXXX: Good afternoon.
Recruits: Permission to carry on, Sergeant XXXX
XXXX: Carry on....
Recruits: Thank you XXXX
XXXX: !#$@#$#@%$#^%#$#$
Then it was to Ming's pub for football on Saturday night and seriously, it was a LONG time since I watched a match on Saturday night already. But sadly, they weren't showing the match we wanted so ... we sat and chatted before cabbing home, AGAIN.
Today's usher duty and I was late. Sorry la...
Was at the front door with best friend jaynee who was in her usual drop dead gorgeous style AHAHA (cue the YA RIGHT, YOU LIAR! response) and I don't know if we managed to scare people off :p
Anyway, heard Chellie's pregnant and Roland's gonna be a DAD soon. Wow! Awesome news! :D
Okay doggs, I'm off to take a short nap....my head is pretty heavy now and I need some rest. Bye!

I don't really know what to type...
it's just one of those days you feel so angsty inside but you have absolutely no words to describe the feeling...and no it's not angsty...
Whatever really. At least I managed to persuade someone to church next week.
The only thing that made me feel a little glad after all the doom and gloom.
I'm so tired of everything... somebody help me please...

9 Words Women Use
1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.
8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying *%$# YOU!
9.) Don't worry about it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.
Learn guys, LEARN! :p

You wanna know how much God loves you? Or you just wanna know how great is God's creation? Just watch the video below!
The stars and the galaxies are all made by Him. It's so mind-boggling big that even our human mind can't comprehend fully, understand it 100%.
YET
He loves the teeny weeny humans like us, EVERYONE of us. No matter how bad and screwed up we are, He still love us.
Haha ok la i'll stop being preachy now. I shall share something that made me laugh hard:
'A Bosnian couple are getting divorced after finding out they had been secretly chatting each other up online using fake names.
Sana Klaric, 27, and husband Adnan, 32, from Zenica, poured out their hearts to each other over their marriage troubles, and both felt they had found their real soul mate. The couple had met in an online chat forum while he was at work and she in an internet cafe, and started chatting on under the names Sweetie and Prince of Joy.
The pair eventually decided to meet up - but there was no happy ending when they realised what had happened. Now they are both filing for divorce - with each accusing the other of being unfaithful' - Ananova.
HAHAHAHAHAHA the galaxy is big but...too bad :p

Hello blog,
Long time since I've really gone in about life really. It has been pretty busy and eventful the past few days. My two best guy friends are called to 'duty' and serve the nation so it's pretty much myself now.
Had a so called 'last meeting' with them at AMK Hub and our big boss decided to watch Rogue Assassin so we followed suit, a decision we lived to regret HAHAHA. Anyway we met Aaron, who was finally out of his BMT, Gary, Keat Hwee + Vanessa, Janice + Jackie and big boss came the latest, in a cab.
The show was supposed to start at 3.10 but we went in a bit late so missed the 'head' of the show, obviously going in like a blur sotong.
*boom boom bang bang piang!*
And we came out still abit like sotong. We missed the 'head', completely don't understand the 'tail' and so obviously we all thought it was a horrible movie to watch. The ending will really leave you stunned, not in a good way of course. Those ending that doesn't even look like an ending. Blah, whatever!
Then KH had to send Vanessa to NTU for her choir while as a man of my word, I had to meet up with jayne in NTU for dinner....so might as well head down together....in a cab. Surprise.
So Vanessa headed for her choir while me and kkh met up with jayne. Then another friend of KH, Debra, who coincidentally stayed in the same hall as ms tong, joined us for dinner.
After dinner, we walked to the sports complex to see ladies play football (HAHA COLOUR WOLVES SPOTTED) while also trying to spot the 'botak joan' who is described as a football god incarnate by jayne. She didn't appear, sadly, probably because she doesn't need training anyway.
It was round two for food so we went canteen 2 with the ever studious and hard working Muggertron studying her notes while gobbling up pratas and fruits.
But it was getting late, vanessa was done with choir and jayne needs to continue her transformation into Muggertron so we left and walked to hall 4, which is like down the hill/mountain/everest/whateveryoucallit.
Waited for the girls to pack up their room, waited for the bus. It was like watching the paint dry. Took train home and SO 'FORTUNATELY' met jan and jackie of all places, MRT train, same cabin.
I can assure you I'M NOT STALKING YOU. The airport incident is a separate one as well as these so don't accuse me of things I didn't do HAHAHA.
Okay la I'm so tired already. People are complaining that I'm stoning and NOT TALKING TO THEM. Sorry laaaaaaaaa okayyyyyyyyyyy forgive meeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Bye!

So overwhelmed by the ocean's shapeless form
Water's getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head
Haha I seldom make my blog so colourful but for your sake bro, here it is :D Oh and the above photo can say is a present for you....before you go for your call of duty this Friday. Cheers!Anyway we had a small mini celebration at the same old suki sushi (call that the cream puff place) and although it seemed a little disorganised, hope you enjoyed yourself :D Aiya anyway you've got a Nintendo Wii from Yuling already....what else can you hiam HUH...haha!
Nothing better than a gift from your other half they say ;)
Rivand was the earliest bird (seriously, surprise!) while Claire was the latest. Janice her bf, Jackie, were 2nd last and hello, here's a present for you as well, couple photo :) save it in your computer please.
Anyway nice skirt....HAHAHA
Settled down for a place and as usual, gobbled up EVERY single salmon sushi and plates and plates of salmon sashimi. The early birds got the tables first so birthday boy, yuling, rivand, kkh, vanessa and me got the first table. Those who were late, isolated somewhere....
Saw our very own PSS basketball maestro who went on to play for the national side. As usual, commented on how wk 'fa fu' already, and in which he blamed yuling for pushing all the food to him. Well, lesson one, find a girlfriend that eats equal amount as you for 'balance' HAHA.
Then the cream puff started to roll out from the conveyor belt and then it was another round of gobbling up as much as possible...for them la.. From 5 metres away, janice CALLED and said 'CREAM PUFF COMING OUT LEH! GET READY!'
Okay...after learning how to make whipped cream at Starbucks, now I would have second thoughts on touching them. Eeww...
That's my neighbour haha!Okay anyway we saw that the queue was getting ridiculously long and being considerate citizens, we left promptly while the couple who came latest, doesn't want to leave and so we had to let them have their own time la...how nice...pfft..
We then walked to PS just to get games for his Wii. And then I had to rush off for my store meeting at HarbourFront.
As usual, meeting states it starts at 5 but it never starts on time. Then everyone was sitting around chatting and it only began officially at 5.30. We had coffee tasting on two special blends which is the Anniversay Blend and Sumatra Siborong-borong.
You know when I started this coffee tasting right at the beginning, all of them smells and taste almost the same. Only till now I can differentiate a little which means.... what they told us is true! It's practice...HAHA
Then it was the writing of the 'BE' cards, which is used to encourage one another and to improve each other. I got a few of them because I'm a newcomer (wahey!) and then it was the testing of new product.
Green Tea Latte and Green Tea frap. What's up with the obsession with green tea anyway? Green Tea frap has blackcurrant in it so it tasted alright but the Green Tea Latte very nearly made me puke! It was...I don't know how to describe it but I wouldn't pay 5 bucks for THAT!
Then it was running late and most of my partners went for their smoke break. Manager was nice enough to let me off and I literally ran from store to the MRT. Thank God I reached church just in time...
YA was brilliant once again with so many things to soak in. It's really really really really enriching and it did seriously convict me in some areas. I'll try to be a better man okay, God? Help me along :)
Anyway I'm so tired to continue about today...nothing special happened but just the meet up with the regular wonderful people and how I spent 1 hour reading Time.com and writing bulletin at the same time.
And you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
I know everything will be alright

Hey blog, I'm so tired now!
Writing for bulletin again next week, I heard. And the thing is on sedition, something which I've absolutely no idea what it's about. Nevermind...
Did closing today and it was infinitely frustrating and tiring, although I really have no qualms doing the 'thrash run'. People think only child are the spoilt kids, I wonder what happen to me...HAHA
Worst thing wasn't about doing the thrashing run twice, it was the people who came into the store right at the mark when we're about to say 'We're closed'. It was around 9.50pm when we got 'slammed', a term for a sudden influx of customers.
There's worst...really worst. The drinks they ordered are all those that you can't make two at a go, how funny. They wanted chocolate cream chip frap...then green tea frap....then espresso frap..wha thanks a lot leh!
Then they refused to get their arse off the chairs until we started pulling down the shutters and all. Okay la please, next time...see we off the lights, time to move your butts!
Ah okay enough of complaining, yesterday was kinda fun actually!
Went to Gabesy's NUS engin pageant at Attica. Yes, our cell leader required our presence...at a club! So, met up with mian, alvin tay, rach, auntie fang and her boyfriend, matthew (poor matthewwwww!) and then bumped into chellie and roland, who were pak-tor-ing by the riverside :D
After dinner at Central, we went straight there and the rest joined up with us, such as isaac, annabel, joel ooi and vanessa.
As we walked in, we're completely blinded by the 'smoke effects' they put out. Nowonder they say everyone looks good in there. Because the blind sees the blind, likes the blind and then dates the blind. They only find out how ugly they are until they get out of the club :p
Anyway the NUS engineering pageant started off with 3 girls dancing rather sleazily (SUPPLIES!). Contestant, obviously looks pretty good and the guy with the same name as me stood out, I mean..... sigh nvm :\
As Gabesy pranced down the catwalk, our screams were deafening and probably louder than what we usually hear at YA (oh sh*t) but probably that's because we're at a club and we need to be louder than usual...(that's REALLY loud).
Yada yada, they managed to drag on and on and on and on....and it became later and later and later and later....and the supposed meeting with jayne, alex and winnie at NTU seemed unlikelier and unlikelier...
Ah well, flew down to NTU to meet up with winnie and jayne while alex was MIA because he was in some other girls' room HAHA. *cough cough*
Walked to the canteen 2 only to find it closed...I mean it's was 12mn so it was rather obvious.. So we had no choice but to call Mcdonalds delivery while we chilled in her room, listening to those emo chinese song and jayne had her karaoke session with herself. Thankfully, no glass were shattered and no animals were hurt in the process :p
McDonalds arrived while alex finally settled his businesses with the girls *cough cough* so we ate and chatted whatnot till around 3.30am before me and alex decided to go home..so we had to savage for a cab, in the middle of NTU...in the middle of the night.
Thank God the cab came quite soon so being a nice guy, I let alex take the cab home while I dropped off in some random junctions to wait for another one. It was pretty quick as well, thankfully.
It was soo fun, talked about everything from dogs to destiny (HAHA) and so many other things...hmm and cell leader talk *cough cough cough cough*. But yes, it came at a price....
I'm not telling you!

You are my pillar, supporting me through and through
You are my fortress, protecting and shielding me all the time
You are my safety net,
when I fall, I know You're there
Pick me up again as I fall
but with a shout of Your praise, I'll stand taller than before.
THANK YOU
It's my Holy Spirit HAHAHA.
Uhm, I'm kinda tired now so I'll just quickly sum up everything. I had work 3 consecutive days from Saturday to today and I tell you, it's suddenly becoming a little stressful. Especially doing closing on Sunday only to realise there's work again the next morning at 9am.
Saturday's message was pretty inspiring it really did give me a new perspective into things like what God expect from us guys and also feeling a abit like 'what on earth have I been doing all these years'...you know.. wasted :(
Then Sunday had to do ushers again for the second consecutive week because Chellie 'arrowed' us so well, just take it as another offering to God. After church, it was lunch at the same old usual place and then got caught in the rain....
Back to church, it was studying time for auntie fang, shujing, kenneth, bert and alex while I read through what I've missed on last week's 'Cost of Discipleship'. Already then I felt SO tired, then thinking 'I have work till 11' makes me feel even more SIANNED.
Today was alright with a mock bar test given by Clement while I had a bimbo moment (more like not awake than anything). Ang moh ordered Tall Soy Latte and I think I pronounced Toy Saw Latte HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHA So silly... :p
Yup and jayne paid a visit, running away with her favourite chocolate eclair :D
Went home for only a 45minutes nap before heading out again. Met up with auntie fang, mian, matt and sarah for Hairspray. It's a wonder someone like me would actually like it but I do like it! Amanda Bynes is so WOOO! because I have a very deep impression of her from 'She's The Man'.
Okay, it's 1:30am in the morning and since I've done QT, it's time for bed I guess....
ah well..
