Branding

In the spring and the fall, we all go to my parents house and pretend like we are cowboys. That is everyone, but my dad, who is one of the few true cowboys out there. We wrasle (as my dad would say) those cattle down and brand them.

Kendyll loves Sorsha, mostly to boss around. She did start with a shirt on, but saw a little boy take his off and there was no talking her out of it. I really just wanted a picture to prove that I did put her in a shirt that day.

Uncle Don "Goudy" and Fry helping Kendyll with her first calf. My dad sorts the little calves in a pen for all the nieces and nephews to rope and pull out. There is a seperate pen for all the on horse ropers. So Kendyll took her turn with a very small calf.

Then she and her daddy held the calf down together. She felt pretty cool doing all this herself.

What are you doing there Grandpa?

My little rosy cheeks, shirtless cowgirl. So happy she's around.
