Last of the Single Digits

Dellen is 9 - the last of the single digits. Love this boy. He sure adds a whole new dimension of fun to our family.

Dellen invited some friends for a party. He and his besties enjoyed musical chairs, Pictionary, the Wii, pool, cupcakes and a whole lot of laughter.

Hedge Apple Bowling

It's a yearly tradition for our family to go "hedge apple bowling" in the fall. We started this activity in Oklahoma at a nearby lake, and continue it now on our beloved wood chip trail in our neighborhood here in Kansas. We also "pine cone bowl" when we camp in the Rocky Mountains. It's the little things that make the best traditions.

Today, it was 70 degrees when I picked the boys up from school, and while we were on the trail a short while later, the temperature plummeted. Within the hour, it was in the low 40s with a biting cold north wind.

Birthday Party

Sam invited a few close friends for a party at the youth room. They played Wii, Charades, Pictionary, and "Would you rather...?" games.

Halloween

Sam's pumpkin is on the left and the other two are Dellen's.

Russ and Sam made this Minecraft Steve head from scratch. Ironically, while we were out trick or treating, we saw a few other kids wearing store bought ones.

Dellen's elementary school has a Halloween parade and the 4th graders and teachers and staff do a little dance. Fun times. Dellen is a ninja.
