Went to Jie Fang's condo for our annual 403 class gathering. Hey! It was a success. Many people came, it's like... we're back to our secondary days. As usual, there's too much food so we had to pack some back. Had our own DJMXS Xmas present exchange after the gathering. Oh ho ho, I got Marilyn's gift. Now I know what image I project to her from the gift I got. I also got one calender with zen looking pictures from SJ.
When it comes to my stationary, I don't buy fancy note pads, clips etc 'cause I think that they're useless. I use to buy lots of fancy stuff in Primary school but they became junk one way or another over the years and from Secondary school onwards, I only get the stationary that I really need. However, I will try to use them whenever I can since Marilyn bought them for me. =)
The year's ending in 2 days? That's fast. I'm looking forward to 01/01/09.

Merry Xmas all!
I got a miniature Xmas tree (pictured) from JF! It's really not like what FL described to be like some twig or something which SJ told me. It's the first Xmas gift I've received.
Yesman was a fun watch. I think there's this positivity in the movie. The many yeses and the little nos. It was somewhat educational. Anyway, I've seen a Shell print ad on something like changing the nos into yes for their green energy effort or something. Maybe Yesman was inspired from there.
I mentioned in my previous entry that I will take a break from Robert B Parker's novels for a while but I failed. I borrowed 2 more;
School Days and
Family Honor.

I'm still reading books this week. I finished Hundred-dollar baby,
High Profile,
Cold Service and is now reading
Bad Business. They are all from Robert B. Parker. It's still interesting to read but I guess I will stop reading books from him after I finish
Widow's Walk which is what I will read next since I borrowed it. Maybe I will try something Chinese for a change.
X'mas is approaching and I have yet to get my exchange gifts. Time flies... *imagine bird flying by*... a new year is approaching.

I'm reading novels this past week. Spencer Novels by
Robert B. Parker. It's interesting since it's about detective work, some criminals are involved and some gunfire and cops. Finished
Now & Then and is currently reading
Hundred-Dollar Baby. It's one whole series of books so it can be a long read if I want.
Listened to some good songs this week. 王力宏's 心跳 is quite catchy but the lyric's quite repetitive. Greeeen's
扉 has a good looking PV. I thought it was wonderful. Wang's MV is also great despite only the 2 minute preview is shown.
Went to school to settle some sem2 stuff on Friday. It seems that I may have some Saturday classes next semester...
Oh, and yes, I hate getting lost on the road. I'm unsafe too.

I met
Jia Yan and Rachel yesterday afternoon and we went to the
Zoo on impulse since we couldn't decide where to go besides the malls which we decided against. It's rare that people go to the Zoo without planning isn't it. Zoo is such a touristy place that locals don't visit casually.
Going to the zoo was cool, we managed to visit most of the animals despite arriving at 4pm which is rather late since the Zoo closes at 6. Walked until our feet hurt! Oh man, my feet has been hurting for so many days already.
Saw the Splash Safari show. The show actually looked similar to the show that I saw about 5 years ago but it was still amazing to see how trained the animals are to do the stuns. It was a pity that some animals are sleeping or not in their pens but we still saw the big cats, white tigers, elephants and many interesting animals. Oh, the roars of the lion is scary shit. Its so so loud and intimidating.
This concludes my gatherings! I've been to so many places! Kbox, steamboat, sentosa cycling, zoo, the various shopping malls, movies and not forgetting my secondary school. It was a hell of a ride!

On the road

The sole of my feet is hurting from walking too much in flip flops and the final blow came from the heels that I wore yesterday. It stings.
I think I'm mentally tired from all the "going out" activities. I'm someone that can't go out everyday (except from schooling which is compulsory) and must spend some days at home to "recuperate" before I'm ready for the gatherings/shoppings/dinners etc again. Home is such a comfort zone, such a comfy place. But! This week I have exceeded my quota since I was only home on Monday and Wednesday and still have gatherings tomorrow and the day after next. I needa rest already and I'm getting broke before the new week even starts.
Okay, enough of rantings already.
Let's see what BIG things happened this week.
Went to PYMB's ROD where we see the same thing every year but with different people getting their recognitions etc. Maybe this is our last(?) since I doubt any jrs know us anymore. However, it's hard to say since people may still ask us to go back which is no doubt great.
Sentosa was the highlight of the week. The sight of us reapplying sunblock almost hourly was funny (but it's all for the fair skin okay). Some funny jokes were cracked as usual... Cycled until my butt hurted (but i'm not expecting a muscle ache tomorrow since I cycled slowly), that horrible skycable ride(I don't think I will ever ride that again), and interesting LUGE ride. But all in all this kind of activity is really once in a blue moon 'cause we are usually the shopping mall people.
Ahhhh.... good night.

Results II
Thursday, December 04, 2008
I got back my results for semester 1. I thought I did really badly for Accounts and was expecting a CR even before the exam but who knows I got HD! It was really shocking. I couldn't believe my eyes at first 'cause I thought something was wrong with the results even though I wanted nothing to be wrong. It was a stupid moment. So luckily thanks to this, I met my target GPA of 3 for semester 1 instead of 2.5 which I expected. However, the result for bus comp still sucked!
All's well for semester 1. =) I'm less of a slacker. *thinks of shitty results in JC*

Results I
Wednesday, December 03, 2008
I was a little anxious about the release of results tomorrow so I went on to RMIT's website to check. Totally should not have done so! Only bus stats and bus comp's results are out but bus comp really was OMFG! What is 69!! 1 more mark to 70 shit. 69=credit but 70=distinction leh! Now I know why previous years they do not release the mark but just display the grade. Seeing this kind of mark really made me angry! Make my GPA lower by 0.25 which is a lot since I'm only expecting credit for my other 2 subjects!!
It means I have to work a lot harder next semester to get GPA of 3... SHIT.Labels: university
