For those of you that still check this blog, here are a few pictures for you! We've had an insane amount of snow. 12 inches last week and another 13 inches on top of that this week. We're having a lot of fun playing in it with all of our neighbors. Being snowed in with Daddy around isn't so bad after all!

Katelyn turned TWO on Monday. We loved celebrating this special girl!

Katelyn requested a Jayhawk shirt like Daddy's for her birthday. He went and picked one out for her and she loves it! Poor kid is quite confused on which Big 12 team to cheer for :)

We went to Austin and the Ranch for Thanksgiving. It was real weird for the Thanksgiving Day game to be vs TCU instead of A&M. Nonetheless, Katelyn cheered well for the Horns and we had a fun time despite the fact that the Longhorns stink! Then the whole family was at the Ranch together to celebrate Thanksgiving... it was great! Katelyn had a blast playing with all the animals and with her cousins.

We went to Chicago for a medical conference and enjoyed spending time with Nana and Papa and with  Peter, Elizabeth, Jake and Hannah! Katelyn built her first Build A Bear with Tim which is a really fun family tradition for us. I showed Katelyn (through the bus window) the church courtyard where Tim proposed to me almost 8 years ago (though you can't tell where we are in the pic below, you can see her looking out the bus window). Good times!

First Pigtails have occurred!

A fun Christmas party with Avery and Carrie Hughes

It's beautiful here in Kansas City... this time of year is amazing. The Plaza lights are one of our favorite KC traditions! The picture doesn't do it justice.

We are having a lot of fun creating Advent and Christmas traditions as a family of three.

Tim is the male Martha Stewart.... but really. I've never met someone as creative as him in my life. The things he can do truly amaze me! After visiting the Crown Center gingerbread house exhibit we came home and made our own... every bit of it from scratch. Below you will see pictures of the Lindquist Ski Chateau complete with the chair lift with Katelyn, Tim and Kristen riding on it. Unreal. The best part is that we all had so much fun making it together! Unfortunately Storm has since jumped on the dining room table and eaten half of the roof and the chair lift. Such a bummer!!

Happy Halloween

We had an extremely fun Halloween! Katelyn caught on VERY quickly and loved being outside all afternoon and evening with our neighbors. It was much like every evening in the Summer and Fall as we now have 19 kids on our cul de sac. All but 3 of them are 5 and under. Let's just say we LOVE it. So so so much fun. Our little pig had a lot of fun and very generously gave Mommy and Daddy all her candy ;)

Daddy took Katelyn to Corinth Square just down the road from us and trick or treated around all the shops with our neighbor friends. The dental office passed out balloons... clearly!

Then our neighborhood met together for an attempt at a picture...  only about half of the kids are pictured here.

Storm was a cow... for the seventh year in a row :)

We went to Seattle in September in hopes of spending quality time with Tim's parents, experiencing beautiful weather and seeing the mountains. We got two out of three and if seeing the top of Rainier as we flew above the clouds counts we experience all three! :) The trip was really special and we are so glad we went. Katelyn doesn't get a lot of one on one time with Nana and Papa (Tim's parents) and since we value her relationship with them so much we wanted to make a trip out to spend the weekend with them. Tim got to go salmon fishing with his Dad, Katelyn went on her first ferry ride and we all LOVED spending time down at Pike Place... one of my favorite spots in Seattle. We also enjoyed going to the Ballard Locks to see boats entering and leaving the Sound as well as seeing the fish ladder! A great trip!!

One of Katelyn's favorite things we did (that she still talks about) is riding around the yard with Nana on her "Tractor"
