I am back!
Hmm...but I am not feeling well. Last week I was in Spore and had a whale of time. I felt patriotic when my sister urged me to help her out for the National Day flag ceremony at the Community Ctr she is actively involved in. I had to wear red tee shirt. But some people never change. Ugly Singaporeans. We had to queue for the goody bag and guess what? Yep u guess it well! Some people just pushed their way to be the first in the queue and pushing their luck to be in front of me. Being the frank me, I told these people off. They can't understand what I was rumbling but I guess my gesture made them understand. I told them to go back and queue. I don't give it a damn. If they weren't rude, I would give way to these old folks, you see. But they were just so kiasu kiasi. When will the Sporeans change huh? And one more thing, while the anthem was played, no due respect was given. They were chatting away at the back and again who gave that stare?? ME!!!!!! Eh hullo....I was trying to 'enjoy' the Majulah Singapura ok. I heard Negaraku many times on TV and when I am back to my country, I want to hear the national song ok. So please! Some nyonya who had their morning walk all sweaty came rushing to shake hand with the MP. Again pushing here and there...."Aiyo nyonya, lu tatak mandi manyak masam lu tau tak, lu tolak sana tolak sini. Lu punya peluh kena wa punya baju, wa punya tangan, wa tatak kesah tapi lu jgn tolak lah. Itu MP sulah nampak lu mau salam dia punya tangan lah. Jgn tolak lah nyonya oiii....wah ada anak dlm perut lah"!(Hey lady, u haven't shower and smell rotten, push here and there. Your sweat is all over me I dun really mind but stop pushing ok. The MP saw you eagerly wanting to shake his hand already. So dun push me. I am pregnant lah). I wish I could scream on their face. Already the day was so humid and at 12pm, the sun was right on top of your head. My sister told me to stand at the shaft so that I will not blackout. I told her I want to go home(my house is just a block away) but she said we had to wait for the MP to go back first than we can leave. An hour later, I left. Went home with 4 goody bags and gulp down a mug full of ice water. I told my sis I can't go to the parade in the evening coz the flag ceremony in the morning had worn me out. And I was not prepared to be pushed again.
That was the National day. Something memorable though. Meeting my country people. Prior to that on the 7th Aug, mom did thanksgiving at home. It was to celebrate all the Aug babies and to welcome the newest bundle of joy that has joint the family on 11th July. My younger brother's 2nd child named Syaraf Amar Abqari. He is such a good baby. Never hear him crying except when he is hungry. My son adored him so much and insist on carrying the baby. Since Amar(we call him by that name) is so small and fragile, we refused but my son was adamant. We put Amar on my son's lap and that boy just kept on kissing and kissing and kissing. My mom said Aqim(my son) is a loving brother. Unlike Syarf(my other nephew who is a bilogocal brother to Amar), tak sayang adik. Hehehehehehee. But meeting the family on that day was so fun. We had Nasi Ambeng(Javanese Mixed Rice). Nyah Noris was there...cantik pakai baju kurung pink. Macam perempuan melayu terakhir ;p. Anyways, she is still SINGLE ok. Any interested parties can go to her blog (togoodtobtru.blogspot.com) and say hi to her personally. Sorry eh nyah, I promote you. :p
Had a jolly good time with Noris. Had ice cream at Anderson's and then I had my hair cut with Nyah Noris. Noris haircut is nice lah. Never seen her in that style. I wanted my hair to be short coz being pregnant always make you feel warm. So now I look like a boy. Nevermind lah....as long as i feel breezy...I am contented already. Nyah I still owe you for tis haircut ok. I had wanted to meet CK(and CK's nasi Dagang...aiyo...drooling already) and the gang in Spore but not meant to lah. I went to NTUC Hypermarket the next day with my sister to have hotcakes in McDonalds. Then 10min later I was having cold sweat. I asked her if I looked pale? She said yes and I told her I need to sit coz i can't breathe. We sat down a while then took a taxi home. Luckily the taxi driver was understanding coz the ride was just 5minutes away from home. Later in the evening, my brother brought us to Parkway Parade. I didnt want to go but he said just for a short while. I was really tired but trot along. When I was there, I felt my body couldnt take it and sat down at BANQUET and had hot milo. I realise my body is not that strong these few days. I think i caught the flu bug from family in Spore. Even my son was not spared. He was down with fever and that is why we hardly bring him out. And realising I was not strong, I can't go meet CK, Sheryl and all. Missed it lah. But nevermind, I am sure some other time we will me somehow.
Now I am back home in KL and my flu is not getting any better. On Monday I took emergency leave coz my son was not well again. Luckily on Wednesday it was a Public Holiday in Indonesia(I am supporting Indo Market) and rested at home. But my cough got worse and I had my asthma attack yesterday evening. I guess all those cold drinks I consumed in Spore contributes to this flu and asthma attack too. Now i am at work and had to mann the sales phone alone. One staff is on a week's leave and the other claimed to be sick. So I will just do my best. At the point when my cough and wheezing is bad, i will just put the phone on a not ready mode and rest for a bit. This is what happens when you do not hae a considerate team member. Sigh!
Ok gotta go. Pix will be downloaded soon. Thanks for dropping by people!
