Have You Ever?

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever, have you ever

Have you ever been in love
Been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
You'd give anything to make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you don't know what to say
And you don't know where to start

Have you ever found the one
You've dreamed of all of your life
Just about anything to look into their eyes
Have you finally found the one you've given your heart to
Only to find that one won't give their heart to you
Have you ever closed your eyes and
Dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait for the day when they will care

What do I gotta do to get you in my arms baby
What do I gotta say to get your heart
To make you understand how I need you next to me
Gotta get you in my world
'Coz baby I can't sleep

haha since everyone posting lyrics....

on sale.

sometimes the cheesiest lines make u cringe and wonder where the heck anyone found the stomach to even think this stuff up. Love cliches, motivational cliches, advertisement sales.
You roll your eyes at the 'last day of sale' sign but something compels you to walk into the shop. just in case.
You make your purchase, feeling pretty frikin proud of yourself for making a steal only to find the same 'last day of sale' sign still stuck on the window with the same cheap double-sided tape on the same tacky ready-made cut out bought from popular right where you saw it two weeks ago.

Sometimes we can't help it.
when someone says an old line, that you want so much to believe
you let slide all the disappointment you have faced, put in the same situation before,
only to get disappointed again. or in some cases proven right for letting your guard slide.

and then sometimes it's worth it.

but cliches are cliches because they work. because ... they have had genuine meaning before.
but they've become so overused that the follow through becomes less and less expected that the promising party never feels obligated to deliver.
how far we've come.

sometimes i reckon if we shut our eyes and follow our blind instincts, it might take us a lot further than we could ever go with our eyes wide open.

so I shut my eyes, click my heels and whisper, 'there's no place like home'.

So beautiful.

It's so hard to love, when there's so much to hate.

Regret.

I've just spent the past half hour reading conversations we've had since last year.
I would say I don't know how everything went so wrong.
But the more honest thing to say is i screwed up.
Cried over nothing and lost something awesome... potentially really beautiful.
I don't think you'll ever read this and I don't even know if I should ask if you regret any of it too.

I can't complain because I'm happy now.
I'm happy in most of my situations.
But i really wish I had worked at it a little harder.
it's days like these where I feel really stupid for letting you go.

And while these words may never reach you, I hope that you know,
I'm sorry.

the longest night ever.

so everything only starts to make sense at 10pm.
the night gets younger and the sky continues on it's dark rampage of situational gloom or mystery or romance or silence but it's only a matter of hours before it starts to pale.
while it seems the wait won't be long, suddenly minutes that pass in a flash feel like hours and in the darkness where light can only be manipulated anything can happen.

strangers you cross on the street without giving second thoughts to could become potential friends, confidants, lovers, partners. shame and pride are put aside in the same basket and you can be anyone you want to be.
maybe this night will never end.

and when i wake up it'll be as though it never happened.
but the rain is pouring so hard that the pitter patter that it started with is just a memory in a relatively forgotten past.
so loud that you can't hear your own thoughts and your brain takes a break.
and emotion wells up so much that you didn't realize how much your brain was taking away and feigning how little attention you gave to what you really desired.
suddenly all you understand is different. your life takes on a huge change in priorities because your wants have become your needs and your needs simply become the life you already live.
so maybe we don't need all this.
maybe what we feel, when the music is so loud we forget to think,
let our hearts skip a beat and feel what our hearts are pulling us towards... is all we need.
so please, don't stop the music.
