Use something Digital over at Di's Digi Designs

Hello

It is time for a new challenge over at Di's Digi Designs and this fortnight the theme is

Use Something Digital

For a change I decided not to make a card, but to try to make a birthday planner.  I've been wanting to make one of these ever since I saw Annette's fab version a few year's ago and have finally got around to attempting to make one.

The image is Love is in the Air from Di's Digi Stamps.  I inserted the image into word twice and flipped one of the images so I had a mirror image.  I coloured both images with copic pens then fussy cut the mice.

The panel is a piece of cardboard covered with Maja Designs Paper and edged with a touch of Stormy Sky Distress Ink.  The letters and scalloped circles have been cut using an electronic cutter.  Using a computer I printed out all the dates and names and then die cut them out using a small circle die.

Paper : Coffee in the Abour - Grandma's Old Porcelain Cups (Maja Designs)
Embellishments : Small Jump Rings about 5 mm in diameter; Ribbon

Easter Chocolate Egg Box

Hello and a Happy Easter

As its Easter Sunday I though I would share the little boxes of eggs that I made for my husband and son to celebrate Easter.  Each box contained a mini creme egg, a galaxy egg and a lindt egg.

The box was really simple to make and there are many You Tube videos which will take you through the process.

For my box I used a piece of card measuring 22cm x 18.5cm.  On the long edge I scored at 4cm, 9cm, 13cm and 18cm and on the short edge at 4 cm and 14.5 cm.  I then folded and burnished the score lines.

To create the window I cut a suitable sized/shaped aperture with a die then stuck a piece of acetate over the opening on what would be the inside of the box.

Cut a notch in each of the six squares (three either side of the long edge - two outside ones and the middle ones).  Add glue to each of the six squares and assemble.

Place the eggs into the box and close.

I tied the box shut using ribbon and added a peel off greeting.

Hope you like it.

Thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments.
