I made that sound like some sort of industrial action instead of a thoroughly pleasant & enjoyable morning! It's not many people that can say that they spent the morning crafting & got paid for it!Here is yours truly with some of our loyal Thursday morning regulars supporting the "guest" demonstrator. They usually only have to put up with me when Jan is away but I'll be putting in a regular monthly appearance from now on-sorry guys!!
Hi I'm Debbie Frost & welcome to my blog. Please take a look around & I'd really appreciate if you'd leave me a comment!

Deb's demo at Japonica
Hi there where did last week go?! Already half the year gone already! Just a little announcement to say that I will be demonstrating at Japonica in Exmouth on Thursday from around 10.30 until lunchtime (or until they have to drag me off with a big hook!!) I shall be re-creating some of my Woodware blog design cards which have appeared of late & maybe creating a few new looks with the stamps sets that I have used. So if you're free & in the area come & join the friendly group of crafting ladies that form our "Thursday Club" (you know who you are!)I'd like to take this opportunity to wish Betty a speedy recovery & we all hope to see you again soon at Japonica. Hope to see you on Thursday. Janet will also be demonstrating on Saturday all day featuring our new offer of the month which I can reveal may include a simply beautiful Stampendous clear set of stamps.

Black & White
Shopping List
1" heart punch
1" daisy punch
Mini snowflake punch
Regular daisy punch
Silver nailheads
Black s/a diamantes
FRCL-Garden Greetings
All available from Woodware
I do like to make a monochrome card sometimes & a black & white theme can be very effective. Here I've used some simple punchcraft.Using 6 heart punched shapes in black vellum to form each flower with a snowflake & a silver nailhead in the centre of each. I've then used the 2 different sized daisy punches using some black & white polka dot paper & white vellum with a black s/a diamante at the centre. Some free hand stems & leaves & the lovely sentiment from the Garden Greetings stamp set completes the card.

What a wash out!!
What a disappointment this summer is turning out to be again!!Will it ever begin? A good time to do some crafting! We're having a busy week at Japonica as we have Jenny Mayes from Hobby Art with us on Friday & Saturday. Jenny will be holding 2 workshops on Friday (sorry all sold out a while ago now) & she will be demonstrating in the store from 10.00a.m until 3.00p.m on Saturday & all are welcome. The theme will be "The British Countryside" & Jenny will be using a variety of Hobby Art's very popular "Scene It" stamps including many new ones. Jenny is always a great source of inspiration & great ideas! Come along on Saturday to meet Jenny & pick up some great tips!
Here's Jenny Mayes with our own Janet Caudrelier

This is the first in the monthly "Sketch Challenges" set for the Woodware design team.I really enjoyed this as I had never really worked from a sketch before (always meant to but......)! Anyway I really let my imagination run riot as I wanted to use a different colour combination this time. I think the combination of colour, matting & layering & embellishments work quite well.

For the men in our lives
Shopping list
FRCL198-Sail Away
StampendousCRV151-Life Path
Stampendous- SSC1052 Hugs for All
Sakura gel pens
Versafine sepia
Copper nailheads
(all available from Woodware)
It's often difficult to design a card for the men in our lives, who wants to resort to football, fishing or golf?! I like this set of stamps designed by Francoise Read because they allow you to be liberal with use of colour & lend themselves to a variety of techniques. Here I have stamped with Versafine sepia & then used Sakura gel pens, which are great for watercolouring to paint the image. I love the different sentiment stamps available from Stampendous too as you'll always find one suitable for the occasion.
