Breaking News!!!!

I made this card in honor of my Daughters Nicole's 25 Birthday.
Nicole is a reporter in Omaha,  the is her first reporting job and she is so excited about it.  This is an image that Sherri Baldy  this is on Scrapbook Stamp Society's page as custom Avatar Portraits .  What I did was send Sherri on an email a Photo of Nicole
above is the photo and next to it is the artist impression of the photo which I was sent.. I had this framed and
is part of her birthday present.  She also sent me the line sketch which is what I used to make Nicole's birthday card.   The saying is one I made, I know only a Mom would be that mean.
I colored the image with copic markers and  framed it with red paper that I put thru an embossing folder.  I used white Memory dye ink  to highlight the embossing.  Then I cut out a frame with an oval spellbinders die.
then  I used the next smaller die to create the black mat.  The corners are black nail heads..
I hope you enjoyed looking at this card as much as I did making it.

The flowers are  from EK sucess. and then I added little pearls for that touch of elegance.

May your dreams take flight

This is another of the cards made for the classy  Cards 'n Such   on line store..  You really need to go check this online store out.  it has real fast shipping, and honest shipping prices.  There are not too many online stores that can say that.  They carry an assortment of dies ..
One of the companies that I shop there for is Cheery Lynn Designs.   I love these dies.  I am using the Fanciful Flourish on this card.  Another one of there products I used on this card is JustRite Stamps set called Botanical Butterflies. All the stamps on this card are from that set.  The Spellbinders dies I used can also be found here.  I used Fancy Tags  and Butterfly Circle.
The butterfly was colorer with copic markers and cut out using a circle Spellbinder die and mounted on the Butterfly Circles.  I cut out multiple Fanciful Flourish  using designer paper.
I took 3 different die inks and randomly stamped stamped the butterfly  starting with the lightest and moving on to the medium and then the darkest. I added some ribbon so the tag would no be floating in space..
I hope you enjoyed this fun quick card.
Don't forget to visit the challenge blog.

Tulip Surprise

Todays card was made with some great items from Classy Cards N Such .  The items that came from this great little on line store are .. First let me tell you the service at the store is wonderful, you order and you receive it so fast it will surprise you.  I had to return something and they were just great about it.  I was so excited on one of their sales that I bought something I already had..
Now back to the items on this card that you can buy at Classy Cards N Such,
the stamp is called Rabbit in Watering Can from Stampavie.  The next item is the saying and that came in a set called Cardinal Family from Heartfelt Creations.  The yes there is more.  The embossing folder is called leaves from Crafts Too and there is more.. you need to laugh I sound like one of those ads on TV.  The Spellbinder Die cut, called Big Scalloped Ovals Large .  You need to hurry on this one it is on clearance.  and still there is more.  The flower is also sold at the store and it is from Prima and is called Tea Rose Latte.
Can you believe all the great different items you can buy there.
I stamped the Rabbit in Watering Can with Memento Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  and cut out the image using the lard scalloped oval die from Spellbinders .. Then I mounted this on another Spellbinders die. The background paper was  just embossed with the Leaves embossing folder, because of the size of the card I had to put the paper thru twice. I layered the green paper onto a layer of pink and wrapped it with a piece of lace then layered the rabbit image over it.  The saying was stamped on white and cut out with a die.. and Then the flower was added.
make sure you stop by the Challenge blog and play with us.  There is a  great prize
Thanks

Just a little Yellow

The die cut is a new, I just bought if on Friday, it is a Spellbinders labels, 21.  I colored her using Copic markers and  embellished with bling on a roll from Michael's  I love this stuff it is on a roll like tape.

So make sure you enter the Squigglefly blog Challenge this week for a chance to win a free digital image all you need is a Squigglefly image and just a little yellow.

Remember When

This card was made the the Classy Cards n Such first ever challenge blog.  The Challenge this two week period is anything goes.  All you need to do it use a product sold at Classy Cards N Such
Now I have three, items on this card that is sold there.  The flower, the die and and the saying.. Way to go me.
the image is a Squigglyfly image called Tea Roses , by Marla Shega.  I colored the image using copic markers.
I love out the shading on her images mades you look like such an artist when you use them.

The die cut is called Heart within my Heart from Cherry Lynn.  Classy Cards has a really great selection of Cherry Lynn dies this is one of there newest ones.   The next item I used from Classy Cards is the Prima flower called Tea Rose   Which is kind of perfect considering the digital image.  The next item is the saying which is from JustRite stamp, the saying comes from the Old Friends Set.
This card was easier to make then it looks.
I put the doily down first with double stick tape. Then I glued the hearts die.  I choose glue, because on something like this it seems to work better then tape.  Then I added the digital image, on top of that the saying from JustRite and the flower in the corner.
Make sure you go visit the Challenge blog.  I know there is a prize.
Thanks for stopping by.

Wow wasn't Nataliya's card great, I just love her work

The Card I choose to make for my Fairy tale is a female version of Charlie Chaplin, called Charlette Chaplin Lil
Ragamuffin by Heather Valentin.  You ask why is this whimsical, because have you ever seen a female Charlie Chaplin?  I colored her with Copic markers and used Spellbinders die, by putting her at an angle it makes it look like she is ready to step out of the die.  The flowers are some that were made by Heather Valentin, which I picked because they matched her hair.
I used a glitter pen, to add  a little bling to the hat, cane and tie, because when my Daughter was in dance, all dancers had some bling on them.
here is a close up look at one of the flowers.
Thank you for hopping by and make sure you leave as comment, I love to read them, and sign up to follow my blog so you will be eligible to win the drawing.. now hope on over to Kim
I know her project will be awesome.

The drawing winner is Christine  please contact me for your prize

Oh Puh...leeze!! be mine

Happy Valentine's Day.  this is the card I made for my special guy.  My Darling Husband of 28 years. Chico and I met in 1980 shortly after I moved to Las Vegas.. I was dating his roommate.  Needless to say, I broke it off with the roommate, and after a few months started to date Chico. It was kind of strange at first.  but Chico and I have had a great marriage.  I wanted the card this year to be a little on the fun side so I choose a really great image from the Scrapbook Stamp Society called Lil Bella, by Heather Valentin.  She always, makes some very fun images to work with.  I colored the image with copic markers, and had a lot of fun using some of the Florissant colors on this card.
The Oh Pul leeze be mine is  a stamp from Penny Black.  I stamped this on Vellum and cut it out using Spellbinders die.  This was the first time I tried it on vellum.. and it worked great.  will be doing it again. to stick these on I put them through the xyron.
I used a doily from a local restaurant,  and this is my first try of using lace.. I found I could not stick it on the same way I normally do.. so I just taped down the ends and called it good.. I choose a scrap of designer paper left over from last year  layered on brown.
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine' s Day

hope you enjoyed this quick fun card.

would you like a cookie?

Boy I sure wish my Grandma would have acted like this one.  I love this very sweet image from Scrapbook Stamp Society , the image is called Made with Love, by  Heather Valentin.   I colored the image with copic markers and then cut her out.  Then took a black copic and used it on the cut edges.  This helps to hide the unsightly little white edges.  The Spellbinder die is the red square.  I used a doily that I picked up at Marie Calendars.
the heart die cut is called a heart within a heart from Cherry Lynn, Then I mounted the whole thing on designer paper and added a fabric flower to the corner.

are you hungry yet.. seems I have had a lot of food related posts lately.
anyway.. have a cookie and enjoy..
thanks

a Rose

This is my first card for my new design team,  I have joined Classy Cards N Such design team as a guest designer.
I choose for my first card, one of there newest items the Classic Bella Rose set by Heartfelt Creations.  I colored the image with copic markers . Then I sponged some pink ink around the outside edges.
Then I tried something new I made a frame using my Spellbinder Die Labels Twenty .  To make the frame I took two dies from the labels twenty set and  nested them together and put them through  my cuttlebug at the same time then I embossed them.  I mounted this of the paper with the pink rose using double stick tape.  I layered this on green paper.  The nest item  I used was an embossing folder called Leaves  .  Now I like bigger cards and this embossing folder is one of the smaller one.. so I embossed two pieces of the pink paper and discovered that the design repeats to I lined it up and  mounted it on piece of green paper.  Then using one of my favorite technique Junkies techniques called cuttlebug Highlight.  I used white die ink from Memory and highlighted the raised areas.
then covered the seam with a ribbon.  The last item that came from the shop is the puffy flowers called Gillian Raspberry  Then I added some ivory pearls in the corners and on parts of the frame.
Thanks for stopping by and take some time and visit Classy Cards N Such   And if you join there Yahoo group there are special discounts. and you all know how I love discounts.  also watch for them on Facebook  They are having a contest trying to get 200  likes by Feb 11.  one of the people will get a prize and it could be you.  So stop by and tell them Debbie sent you.

a really big Dill

I have to say, I just love this dill pickle jar image from Squigglefly, it make just such a fun birthday card.   The last time I used this image I did it for a guy, so it was more of a plane card.  This time it is for a lady, so I wanted it to look like a ladies card.  I colored the image with copic markers  then used glossy accent on the jar and the pickles to highlight the image.   I used vellum to print the sayings on and embossed the background.  The scroll work is a product called bling on a roll you can pick it up at Michael's.
Thanks

Dog years

I saw this image of the  Grinning Pomeranian by Chesney Young.  And I just laughed.  I showed it to my husband and he said what are you going to do with that.  I said it will be a birthday card, and he said show me.  So here you go.  This one is going to my older brother, Bob and think of me as the grinning pomeranian.  I colored this image using copic markers and the saying is one I made up.
Since it is going to a guy I wanted to keep it simple so I choose some designer paper that matched the coloring and a simple black ribbon.
Don't forget to enter the Squigglefly challenge blog  with your birthday card, you could win a free image, all you need to do is use a Squigglefly image and link it to the web page.

hunny Bee

Another fun image from Scrapbook Stamp Society, called Hunny Bee by Heather Valentin. I love Heather's bold lines she uses when doing an image.  it makes it so much easier to stay in the lines.. I colored the image with copic markers and added some glitter with my gel pen on the heart and the antineas. I cut the image using a spellbinder die called curved rectangles and use one of the new dies from Memory box, also sold at Scrapbook Stamp Society.    The flowers are from Michaels and the bling is also..
