We will keep 'dis baby

Our Little Man has gotten to the fun age of THREE! I can't believe that but that is another post. With this age has come some really funny interactions and phrases. One of the cutest since our sweet baby has been born was the other day. This was how our conversation went…

Little Man: who just hit me?
Me: I think it was your baby (Ansley).
Little Man: I'm gonna put 'dis baby in jail.
Me: oh no! Don't do that!
Little Man:we can just get another baby
Me: well, I don't think we can just get another baby like Ansley.
Little Man: okay, I guess we will keep 'dis baby.

"'Dis baby" really has fit in like she has always been here. Especially with her sweet brother and sister. I think we will keep her. : )

Back to blogging

I am lying here snuggled with my little Angel. It occurred to me that after failing miserably at last years New Years resolution of writing on the blog each day I haven't introduced our sweet Angel. I didn't even announce on here that we were expecting another baby. I should have. Being pregnant is one of the reasons why I failed to write on the blog daily. In the early weeks of pregnancy I was so very tired. I took advantage of resting during my down time (the kids nap/quiet time). That down time was the time I normally spent blogging about our day. And let me just be very honest with myself and say we are so BORING. No one wants to hear about our exciting trip to the grocery store. Not that I wrote about such. At least I don't think I did. I am just saying I have released myself from feeling that I must blog daily. So...I'm starting this year off blogging when I am able. Who knows how often that will be. It will have to be fit in between cuddles from kiddos and making meals. Maybe it's hormones, being that our Angel is 3 months old today or maybe it's my age. But I feel life flying by and me trying desperately to soak it in as much as possible. I may not have any profound words to share on the blog but I do desperately want to remember special moments. And in the life of this mother (and I am sure many other mothers) so many of these "boring" days are the ones I want to cherish. So, blogging will become more of a priority this year. But now I have to get back to my sweet Angel cuddles. Those don't keep and I am soaking them in.

Stopping to Smell the Roses

I have waited so long but the day finally came.  Bunny's first ballet recital!!!!  It began and then it was over before we knew it.  It took us a few seconds to find her on stage amongst 20 ish other 3/4 year olds.  But we did find her.  And kind of got to see her a tiny bit.  : ) But the day came none the less.  She danced wonderfully!  She smiled beautifully (as always).  She even stopped to smell the roses.  What a crazy night it was but amongst pictures and running around with friends I caught this picture.

Little Man watching the other ballet groups.  He was into it.

Two sweet friends...

Finally our chance to catch the ballerina for a photo...

And here is the trio...Hard to catch them all looking the same direction.

The Grands had to grab her for a quick picture too...

Of course Bunny received flowers but she also had another pink surprise from her Grandy and Papa...
Yummy pink cookies!

Needless to say, I adored every minute of her recital.  It was fun to get her ready for it.  It was magical to watch her on stage.  But I had to remind myself, like her to stop and smell the roses while it was happening.  Because these "firsts" pass by way too quickly.

Blame it on...

Our visit to Walt Disney World or on watching too much Mickey Mouse Playhouse. Whatever the case, I had to laugh at mine and Bunny's conversation last night before bed.

Preface...Two nights ago I read a "Cat in the Hat" book about space and the planets in our Solar System to Bunny before bed. Afterwords I told Bunny "love you to Pluto and back" instead of our normal "love you to the moon and back".

Then last night she obviously didn't want me to leave her room. So she kept telling me "I love you to _____ and back." She filled in the blank with several things. It went from the "moon and back" to "my toys and back". Then again I told her, "I love you to Pluto and back". She just laughed at our new game and responded with " I love you to Minnie Mouse and back". Then she proceeded to use all of Mickey's friends in the same way. : ) I told Daddy Dearest about it. He told me they had been through the same conversation.

Not so sure the Cat in the Hat book really stuck with her (after the 75th reading) but Mickey's dog Pluto has. : )

"My Pink Flower"

As I mentioned before, Bunny is on Spring Break this week.  And that means lots of quality time with her and Little Man during the day.  While I do honestly love that time there are moments throughout the day in which a little whiney girl possesses Bunny.  While I do love Bunny, I don't particularly like the whiney girl so much.  But luckily this girl comes and goes in a few moments.  : )

All that said...This comment from Bunny (said today in the car) will probably get me through some hard days for years to come.  It is one of those that will stick with me.

Bunny: Mommy

Me: Yes

Bunny:  I love you.

Me:  oh, Bunny!  That is so sweet!

Bunny: You are my flower.  My pink flower.

That may not seem like much to you guys but it was the sweetest thing to me today.  LOVE being Bunny's "pink flower".

Bunny's School Easter Egg Hunt

Bunny is out of school next week for Spring Break!  But her school Easter egg hunt was a great way to end the week of school before Spring Break.  Here is her sweet little class...

Bunny and her friend "Tiny Kate" climbing to get some eggs...

Bunny was waving to her brother while all the Moms were taking pictures of the group.  It was so sweet.  She said "there's my broder, Hey Little Man".  She really does love him!

Here she is in action...

Here find

Then PARTY time!!!!  She had been looking forward to this egg hunt and party all week!  Before we left she was asking if we were going to hunt eggs again.  : ) I have a feeling we will be hiding/hunting eggs all week.

Pictures of the last two weeks...

I am playing catch up with our pictures of the week.  So...thought I would do two weeks worth in one day...

Bunny caught a lizard!
Or did it catch her?  She thought this was so funny!

I found Bunny asleep on the landing (right outside of her bedroom) last week.  She was sound asleep on that wood floor.

Bunny's treasures that she received after a morning with Grandy at Hobby Lobby!  She asked me to take a pictures with her "fings".

I have mentioned several times how much this Little Man reminds me of Linus from the Peanuts because of his blanket.  He did this and it reminded me of Schroeder from the Peanuts.  So funny!

Bunny received an ant farm for Christmas from Grand-Pop.  When you order the ants they tell you that the temperature has to be between a certain range for the ants to be sent in the mail.  So...we finally received the ants in the mail Saturday.  The kids LOVED watching them.  And still do!

Love this girl!

Bunny standing on "Daddy's Rock".  This was taken right after she asked me if I could pick it up.    : )

This boy cracks me up!!!
