Introduction

We have been looking to add to our family for some time now and her she is.....

OREO

We hope you will love her as much as we do!

She is a sweetheart and already loves her Daddy a lot....she is still getting use to the idea of a Mom that tells her what to do.

True Love

If you know my family you know that there is something in our genetic makeup that causes us to throw things away that we really shouldn't. As a result, it can cause embarrassing moments and at times upset husbands. Tonight I officially crossed over and demonstrated that these genetics were indeed passed down to me.
It all started because I was trying to be a good wife and get my husband a soda at Circle K on my way home. Once I got home, I sat down at the computer and started paying bills. As I started to pay I needed my debit card. I looked in my purse....no card. I looked in my jeans....no card. I looked in the bags I brought in....no debit card. Well of course where else would it be??? At Circle K in the trash can along with the receipt.
Upon realizing it was at Circle K I flew out of the bedroom into the front room. I then insisted that Daniel go to Circle K and dig through the trash can. You should have seen his face!! After a slight breakdown and insisting that someone was going to steal 5 million dollars from us....I was a little upset and the fact that we didn't have 5 million dollars wasn't even a thought. Obviously sensing the verge of a crisis and a loss of 5 million dollars he left to Circle K.

In the meantime I searched the house high and low.
After 10 minutes he returned with receipt in hand.... but no debit card. He made sure to find the receipt to prove the fact that he went through the trash with a fine toothed comb. About 3 minutes of searching around the house I found the card in the bottom of the clothes hamper. Daniel was a good sport. The thought of him digging in the trash can at the front door of a very busy Circle K makes me smile.

He really did show his true love tonight.
I wish I could promise this would be the last time he ever had to dig in a dumpster or trash can. However, knowing that this is a genetic issue I know it will happen again. I have the best husband ever...thankfully we didn't have someone steal our 5 million dollars....haha!

Love you Daniel!!!

Everythings Bigger in Texas

After missing the U of A bowl game last year I promised that we would go if they made a bowl this year. When it was announced that we would go to the Alamo Bowl I was sceptical about our plan. I guess a promise is a promise so we set out the day after Christmas to see if Everything is bigger and better in Texas.
While the city of San Antonio was amazing, we can't say the football game met our expectations.
We did make some discoveries along the way. We discovered that every waffle in the state is shaped like Texas, Daniel is a magnet for news reporters, most bathrooms lack essentials like toilet paper, my brother-in-law is the perfect mascot for the other team, and we were OUT NUMBERED at least 1 to 100 by the opposing team, who shall remain nameless.
In all seriousness we found San Anotonio to be an amazing city and we enjoyed our stay.
