Came to class late after the tennis meeting and I was passed the letter from school. I kinda knew it had something to do with the exemption and I was praying so so hard that it got accepted.. I opened up the letter and BAM there it was! "the exemption has been approved" I just started bouncing up and down and screaming because now the huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders and I can finally concentrate on my other subjects in peace. THANK YOU LORD! <3

Yesterday I knew of only one guy who was awful enough to be termed a "bitch" Today I know 2...
The tests were not altogether undo-able thankfully. Quite a relief to get them over and done with. Spent the last few days doing heavy mugging.. (yeah I beat a few ppl up *eyeroll*) For AXIS, had to write prelim journal for our JSRP and took time to disturb our abalone ^^ Sharkwater was a relatively good movie, a little more dramatic then your average documentary. I was quite moved when I saw the poor sharks being cut apart and being dumped back in the water. They even showed the shark underwater after it was dumped.. a really horrid sight >.<
For want of a better thing to blog about,

Wow the Subway at Tiong Bahru is cramped like Cine and crowded like Suntec. At least its a new store so its clean ^^. It's like this glass box of a restaurant haha and everywhere is aircon! But the counter is so crammped that we stand right infront of the ovens and it gets hot anyway.. In any case, I got to see a few familiar faces again.. Bryine was there thankfully and I met Rezwon and Iza again ^^ Some other quirky characters but I had a pretty fun time.. I just doubt I'd want to go back again.. I mean we had to give EVERY SINGLE S'porean a mini intro and education on Subway before they ordered anything and field stupid questions like "Does the Cold Cut Trio (which EXPLICITLY states it contains only turkey) have beef?" or some of those really awful haughty girls who think they know everything but come in and think the green peppers are called pepperoni.. *eyeroll*
Well everything aside, I discovered how hypocritical Ali can be.. I mean if you tell EVERYONE something and ask them to keep it a secret, doesn't that defeat the purpose??? And I only find out now.. because Bryine told me! I think that guy just blew his chance.. such an idiot >.<

Tennis! <3
Tuesday: The marine tank stabilized but Ms Wu found more crabs in the rocks so we had to take them all out and dig out the crabs. Found a few other interesting critters ^^ It's a pity the crabs are all so small.. would have been nice to have another Oscar =) We had to rearrange the rocks.. It took quite a while to get it right..
Wednesday: Went to Turf City to get the abalone. The seafood market is really impressive. SO MUCH seafood!! yummm =P Miss Wu and Eugenie thought I was getting hungry because I kept taking the wrong turn and heading toward the restaurants instead of the market hahaha.
The market had these really HUGE CRABS!! ahhh such yummy chili crab haha. Frogs are like $7 each and the abalone we bought were $16 each before the 30% discount.
We bought about 5 abalone and brought them back to school where we found that they had all stuck onto one another. Nemo was really curious about the new neighbours ^^ After putting them into the water and letting them happily settle in, we tried to feed them. All of them didn't want to eat save one, which we named "Greedy" XD. He's really smart because every-time we put our hands in and happen to brush past him, he'd turn around toward our hand and grab the seaweed from us ^^ So we went on to name the other 4: Pinky-because he has pink spots on his shell, Indy-because he's the most adventurous, Greeny-because he's slightly more green then the rest and Spots-he has an injury that left a white spot on this foot. Thursday: We got our Stats test back!! I'm so happy cus I got an A- for it!! *does little dance of joy*

Well what can I say.. it's not like I didn't see it coming which... come to think of it is all the better for me.. it doesn't catch me off guard ^^
Anyway here's how it all went.. I'm in the back washing up the stuff (as usual >.<) and so Mr Creepy apparently came and bought something while I wasn't at the counter.. so after lunch rush is all over he comes back up to the counter (and Grace is CONVENIENTLY having lunch >.<) so I have to serve him.. he tries to make casual convo about recognizing me on Sunday when I was there with my family and I just try to get his order over and done with.. then he orders another cup of coffee and explains that he needs it to keep awake because he works in the morning and night and hands me his card while talking about his job (smooth move.. he had a better plan to give me his details then some of the other guys) Then as I key in his order he asks me out.. but by now I've been asked this question too many times already.. especially by people of his age.. So I ask "How old are you?" He replies "Ah, and the next question which will follow is how old are you[me]?" I didn't lie.. I told him I'm 18 and he tells me he's 35 which I've already more or less deduced and he says we can still go out.. Basically I just let obvious age gap speak for itself because really I don't think I need to explain why I need to turn him down. I just hand him back his change politely and thank him. I think he was probably waiting for an outright yes or no but eventually he got the hint..
I think this has happened too often to just be a coincidence.. there is something obviously very wrong when you're 30 plus and you're asking an 18 yr old girl out.. I mean I already told Alex to find someone his own age.. surely Mr Creepy doesn't need me to say it to his face too *eyeroll*
Anyway today it was a war-of-the-sexes in the store today. Yesterday the guys did the closing and left the store in a mess and failed to prepare any meat,vegetables or bread for the next morning's opening (knowing full well we have the OFS orders and lunchbox orders to deal with!) Today's lunch rush was madness because here we are trying to serve a large crowd while trying to prepare all the foodstuffs.. Grace was so pissed that toward the end of our shift we ran on bare minimum and when the guys came in for their shift later in the evening, the store was running out of the vegetables with no reserves and the meats were quickly depleting..
It usually works this way: We prepare everything in the morning to last us the whole day with a few extra preps during the day to top up anything that was selling pretty well that day. So for the poor guys.. they have to deal with the dinner crowd and prepare food in the back on a skeleton crew =P Serve them right! XD In any case both of us warned Bryine when he came in so that he doesn't suffer since he wasn't responsible for the closing last night... It was good to see Bryine again ^^ Somehow seeing him makes me miss the time when he, Ali and I did shifts together.. sigh..

SH turns out to be a pretty good manager and the new trainees are all more or less ok except one or two *eyeroll*.. grace and sajith are still there thankfully.. The lazy supervisor got transferred back to my store!!! gah!!! he's such a PAIN!!!! Anyway today we had Hady Mirza at our store!! Cool no?? I think most of the the celebs come down to orchard hotel cus we don't kick up a big fuss and ask for autographs ^^ So far I've already seen quite a few celebs and CNN came down to film us yesterday for some strange reason o.0 Also the kitchen guy from the restuarant next door spent most of the day sitting in the common dining area and looking at my store.. what was surprising was that he started to help me clear some of the tables whiles I was clearing the dining area (doesn't he need to be in the kitchen sometime? o.0 )and even...... picked up and helped throw away flyaway wrappers that I dropped on the floor while clearing up.. haha oh my ^^.. I thanked him but it was still slightly suspicious.. (how is it he's so free?? ) In any case from a distance he looks like he could have that typical jap/korean actor look but somehow once you see him up close he looks totally.. er.. unattractive!!! such a shocker.. but anyway he has nice toned arms ^^ (kenwei should take a leaf outta his book XD )
In any case, in other news my com screen is still acting up! I'm gonna take it down for repair once school reopens..

Yay I'm going back to work tmr!!!
Bryine told me the new manager looks like a trainee and I can't believe I got fooled too.. I mean I went there to eat on Sunday and actually DID mistake him for a trainee.. oh my ^^ In any case most of the people I used to work with have left already which is sad.. thankfully only a handful are left which means it won't be so weird when I go back.. and yes I'm STILL the only GIRL.. what else is new *eyeroll*.. In any case I haven't even confirmed my schedule with my manager and my colleagues are already clamoring to confirm the rumour that I'm coming back to work =D gosh I wanna relive the fun times..
Was halfway through my meal with my parents that Sunday when the creepy looking guy from last time had his regular meal there too.. took me a min to recognize him and I think he kinda figured I was the girl from behind the counter but couldn't be sure, well that is until I cleared my parent's trays and he instantly sat up and tried to make eye contact... he seriously looks creepy ok >.< I'm quite glad I had Daddy there..
"Cold turkey" a few days ago..gah! and I was just getting it under control.. I know what caused it and I have to try not to let it happen again =P

When you think about it, life now is busy, crazy and stressful... but fun. I think we'll look back at these times and smile because life would be much simpler now then it will be later.. So right now I'm trying really hard to relish every moment-good or bad- lest all this flies right by me in a flash and I never stopped to live in the moment. I think several people would have realized that I've suddenly developed this philosophical point of view (esp Abu XD ) due to being hit by the realization that I'm going to be 20 in a few years. Suddenly I feel like I need to live slowly and take time to remember things as they are now. I think the thought of crossing the 20 age mark frightens me somewhat because it feels like time is running out for me to do so many things and I can't help but think that once you cross the 20 mark, certain things change irrevocably. Most people have told me that 20 is just the start.. but I feel like 20 is the end- the end to a period of time which I don't think I've just about finished living out yet. It's kinda ironic because anyone who knows me well enough would know that I've never been one to try and grow up too quickly..
Never mind.. it's just one of the many random things that go through my head..
Life is a highway I wanna drive it all night long

bleagh.. blogger is being difficult and not letting me upload any pics >.<
A lot has happened this week.. the usual feat of trying to clear off the homework pile. Mostly enjoyable stuff has happened so far and I'm quite thankful for it..
The art critique went well I suppose.. I'm using the photog competition criteria to help me diversify my pieces for the breadth section of my portfolio.. just as well the deadlines for both are near each other..
We spent the afternoon in the library again (I think every Thursday is the slacking day) where we did a range of crazy things and I finally found out how the "open-close" and "half string, full string, no string" games work ^^ I feel so pleased XD
We had the birthday celebrations today in our classroom.. I would post the pics I took only blogger is being difficult so I can't >.<
Today was the last dance class which was totally cool because the instructors brought down this other dance couple to show us how its done competitively, although it was funny cus the guy could dance really well but his face had this sian look the whole time ^^ I think Lynn is trying to galvanize everyone to take dance lessons now haha. Had to pair up with Mikel this time since Ernest had to go for PhyO. I must say I was pleasantly surprised because it was quite fun dancing with him and Mikel is a pretty good dancer..
Today was the Student Leader Investiture.. I think I should reserve my comments on that.. however after that Eugenie and I went for SSEF to support Abu and gang!! Had quite a bit of fun trailing the judges and taking pictures of the winners from our school!! We received: 2 Merit 3 Bronze 2 Silver and 3 GOLD!!! Congrats to all who won!!! esp Gulabi's team ^^
