Our tank for our abalone project came in! It's so pretty too <3 and we haven't even gotten the abalones yet =P


The class t-shirts are in which is good.. They're like 1 week overdue so the guy who was handling this gave us a free delivery of the shirts to me as "compensation"
I didn't expect that the size of the design would be the same for all the sizes, because now the design on the XL and L sizes looks really small.. or maybe it's just me *shrugs*
I'm quite happy with mine though, the front part could have been just a little smaller but it's ok I guess....

This morning we spent the 4 hours of free period gaming in the library ^^ Apparently, we're now all addicted to BoxHead and even Lynn is very aggressive when she plays haha. We made so much noise that the librarian had to come in and scold us XD I'm lethal with grenades =P and sometimes when we all play 2-player we end up killing each other for fun ^^
In any case after that I was a little dizzy from all the intense-hunching-over-keyboard-and-mindlessly-punching-fire-key =D

Also my com screen cracked >.<

because it slid off my lap and fell on the floor.. ow~# and it cost $240 to replace the screen cus the warranty doesn't cover damaged screens.. my pocket feels burnt..

Felt like screaming at anything and coupled with the fact that I was hungry from not eating breakfast..

I think only 3 people didn't get on my nerves today thank god..

My laptop power cable adapter decided to die on me.. and to top it off, I caught the flu from someone (can't really be sure who since just about everyone I know has or had it already)

So anyway the last few days have been torture... had to drag my sorry ass to school and sit through lessons wilting away.. lately been feeling better although it seems that every morning I wake up with the symptoms all full blown only to have it die down during the day but start all over again the next day..

On Tuesday we had Bio Lab, and the live toad happened to be at my table.. the thing kept turning it's head to look at me!!! freeeaky.. haha Lynn said I must either be suitable prey or mate hahahahaha.. oh dear ^^




On Wednesday, we went to Underwater World for the Bio field trip. I think I've been there before, once during kindergarten or early primary school if I'm not wrong, but it all looks very different now so I'll never be sure =P
Tried to take a few pics but knowing these marine creatures.. they swim EVERYWHERE! Couldn't really get a decent shot of anything.. had to take pics, listen to Ms Koh explaining about the creatures and complete our bio report at the same time.. whew.. -.-"

Thursday we had dance class again. It was the last session for waltz before we move on to the samba. I'm quite pleased to say that I managed to get the steps, that is until they introduced that funky new routine that again managed to confuse half of us... It seems that the girls tend to do the cha cha better but the guys do the waltz better ^^ Better enables them to lead us I suppose XD

ahahahahahahahahaha I can honour! YES! (ok I more or less knew it a long time ago anyway but at least now it's official ^^)

Anyway today's art class was kinda interesting.. Ms Ching walks into class and tells us she's taking us out to breakfast instead! So we spent the entire 1 and half hours in Clementi having kaya toast! Yumm =P hehehe so cool! XD

My math SUCKS!! I mean come on.. I thought that 3-8 was cus I didn't get the concepts right or smth but it turns out they are ALL CARELESS MISTAKES!!! *someone just kill me now...*
And don't get me started on Stats.. I know I can do so much better! I must be day dreaming or smth... UGH!

Anyway Phuong Ha and I went to the "Love Is In The Air" concert @ UCC on Friday night. Our pieces are up already! This would be my second exhibition ^^ I'm so pleased =P
I finally got to hear Jacintha Abisheganaden sing. I conclude that although she may sing well, it felt like she deigned to participate in the concert. Jonathan Leong was a disappointment >.< Having never heard him sing, I'd have expected better after all that hype about him but sadly no.. and the "love doctors" were entertaining indeed.. Phuong Ha and I were chuckling uncontrollably hahaha
I liked Rani Singam the best, she was a great MC and a really fun performer.
We all had this feedback form with the concert programme which we filled out at the end to claim a free gift. We also got a chance at a lucky draw. Most people seemed to draw out an "R" which was another small free gift. When I was fishing around for a letter, I saw this "S" popping up from the others so I decided to just pick it and see what I got. The guys behind the counter were so shocked cus the "S" meant I had won the big hamper full of stuff haha and I was the first one to win it too ^^.. Cool! Anyway there's a great deal of random stuff in there like a mouse, mouse pad, mini radio, and some other stuff.. XD

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was fun ^^ I decided to give out stuff for the first time, so I gave out Bacio =) I got quite alot of stuff but the most surprising was the brownies from someone's mum haha.. so nice! <3
Got a surprise visit from Darren and Kevin =) so nice to see them after so long
Stanley was so hard to catch hold off today.. ended up having to get Hieu to pass him his b'day present ^^

Got a suprise Valentine's Day wish from someone today... seems strange that it's already been 2 years... time does fly..

Today's dance was the Waltz! I think I keep screwing up in the "changing direction" part but other wise it's pretty easy to get haha.. I always have to make a mental note not to lead, it's a bad habit XD
Mikel got dared to dance the entire time with a rose in his mouth and pass it to his partner at the end to get 2 free lunches from Roy hahaha.. too bad the girl doesn't get anything out of it or I would have volunteered hahaha

Anyway I heard about the ASCI guy who committed suicide last night.. apparently he got home, went to his room and jumped out the window. Things like this are really unsettling.. I can only imagine how his parents must feel right now...

SAT results are out! I'm quite pleased to say that I at least got higher then my target ^^ I'll probably do it again but waaaay after all the AP's are over..

Mr Yang passed me a DVD with all the art history stuff in it and one of the folders was full of comics making fun of art.. so funny! I was reading them during Bio and was trying hard not to burst out laughing haha

Since everyone has been asking me how I hurt my hand I might as well repeat it-
On the second last day in Rome, we were all shopping and as we were about to leave Hermes, I had my hand on a door trying to open it. The door was actually supposed to open the other way and the salesgirl pushed on the door slamming the door on my hand. Although my explanation is a little sedate it was actually MUCH MORE PAINFUL... yes..

Anyway, I think this Semester has produced the worst Monday ever. If I had lost any eyebags or dark circles during the week-end, I'd get it right back on Monday again! I ended up sleeping for 13 hours straight again.. so much for homework *eyeroll*
Some joker put an orange in my bag.. *you know who you are XD* I have one word-.. lame!!

on a side note.. this is the first time in ages since someone last smsed me a good morning sms ^^

4th Feb
The flight went pretty well thankfully. I managed to curb my usually nausea.
We departed from the new T3 which although looks grand, has very little good shopping to offer =(


This is cute ^^


Flying with Daddy working is always the best ^^ I'm always very proud seeing him on flight.
Good thing about it is that we also get alot of yummy food from first class haha!



One of our pilots on the flight was Dr Gary Neo who was a doctor turned pilot. My mum started trying to pair me up with him because she thought he looked quite cute.. man -.-""
We managed to catch a fantastic sunrise from the plane window.

My dad hijacked someone's baby haha I think he's 1/4 IFS and 3/4 flight baby sitter. He never seemed to lose his love for babies ^^


5th Feb
We arrived at an ungodly hour of 6:45am. It was bitterly cold because it's still toward the tail end of winter in Rome.
We could see this really cool rainbow from our hotel room window.


We took a nap and woke up sometime in the afternoon after which we took the hotel shuttle bus into town. We wandered around for a while and stumbled across the Fountain of Trevi.

When did I start looking like my mum and my brother start looking like my dad? o.0











I finally managed to eat the lovely looking pizza which I didn't manage to try the last time I came. We spent the rest of the day leisurely going from shop to shop window shopping.






It's funny how I still remember some of the shops I visited the last time. As we were making our way back to the shuttle bus pick up point, I noticed a sign directing us to the Pantheon!
I'm amazed at how we seem to stumble across monuments even though we never planned on visiting it. My mum was quite in awe of the giant oculus at the top of the dome after hearing so much about this stuff from my art history ^^.


Was on the bus when I noticed this guy juggling infront of traffic for money. Interesting how we never see things like this in Singapore. In the morning there was also this guy who was trying to get paid for washing windscreens. He got cursed at quite a bit cus everyone had just recently washed their cars ^^

Anyway travelling with my parents is always way more fun. We packed along enough food to feed an army! XD So after freezing in the night air outside, we came back and had a hot meal in our room which was just what we needed to send us off to sleep -.-zzZZZ

6th Feb
Dammit I hurt my hand. Some stupid girl in the Hermes boutique slammed the door on my hand and now I don't know how badly it's been hurt. Can't write.. Darn how to do homework like this? Well today we meant to visit the Vatican museum but we ended up walking around shopping and checking out the local markets and eateries.











This is like the MOTHER OF ALL ICE CREAMS (and trust me it was much much larger before we started eating it XD )


After lunch, we headed to the Vatican where I gave a mini tour of the museum and Sistine chapel (from what I could remember of the last time I came)

I also finally got to visit the Raphael Rooms which I did not get to see the last time.



After that, we headed off to the Spanish Steps where we did more shopping and my hand got slammed in the door. >.< Thankfully we made it back in time for the shuttle bus pick-up. The pick up point happens to be just infront of this cafe where my brother and I made it a point to buy some Bacio everyday ^^ Hey.. we gave them good business. XD

7th Feb
Happiness is finding a forgotten unopened Bacio in your bag XD Yes I know.. I'm very easy to please haha
Today was our last day and we decided to visit the Colosseum in the morning or at least we intended to ^^ As usual, we walked around random streets and I took the opportunity to take plenty of photographs.





We stumbled across the Bocca della Verita along the way (although I had given up hope of ever getting to see it) Some guy put one hand in the mouth and the other in the nostril... man what a retard o.0
Thats my dad pretending he lost his hand in the mouth ^^

We finally reached the Colosseum after much walking but my Dad had to sit out because we couldn't bring the Roman dagger my brother bought.

After that, we had a quick lunch and went to see the statue of Moses in the Saint Pietro di Vincoli.


We did more walking around and we stopped by a flower shop where my dad bought me my favourite type of rose- a white-cream one ^^




The other flowers were all so lovely! Before we headed back to the bus pickup point, we went back to the Fountain of Trevi to buy more of that delicious pizza to bring home. I think now thats become my all time favourite ^^


Anyway as we walked back down the same road for the final time, I noticed a shop that I had not noticed before. It was a leather belt shop and boy did I go crazy haha. So many wonderful leather belts.. interesting thing was that I found three really nice belts at a heck of a bargain.. only 3 euros in total for all! Even cheap belts here don't come down to as low as that. They look pretty good too ^^ I'm so pleased with myself XD

8th Feb
Stupid Italians, they made us rush to board our flight even when we weren't late and then we get grounded for a further 1 and a half hours when we could have done some DUTY FREE SHOPPING.. crap..
Anyway on the last day at the Trevi Fountain, my family was in the shops behind and I was sitting by myself just enjoying the view and some guy comes and sits next to me and tries to pick me up. I just shook my head and ignored him until he left. Ok I mean if that was in Singapore, it wouldn't be so bad but being in Italy, it was a little freaky. My parents are like way protective of me. They keep joking that they need to bring a shotgun along every time I go out with them just in case a guy looks in my direction haha. In Italy everyone looks everyone up and down and all the guys flirt like there's no tomorrow. My mum took it upon herself to glare at any guy who dared to smile in my direction hahaha I think the doctor turned pilot guy is the only one she liked.. must be because he's rich or smth =P
Anyway it was so dry over there that I'm now flaking like nobody's business.. and my hand is ppppain~#
