Today was the eve of our school's 1000th day so it was kind of a half day, although we spent the other half in west coast ^^
Had a small show and video together with the sealing of the 1000th day capsule during morning assembly. Balloons!
After classes, we were shipped off to the West Coast park for the activities. The balloons made a reappearance on the bus ^^ and really junior juniors! Our class owning their class =D and yes during the kite flying part, I tied my hair to my pet kite ^^ HANDS FREE! ^^
Anyway Chi and I were discussing what else we would have put in the capsule.. she wanted to put a copy of the hourly report.. I would have wanted DNA samples from all of us.. =D just for the sheer geekiness of it.. Actually I would have wanted a movie.. a mini movie of the school. What use are pamphlets and uniforms if you cant see what life is like right now? The busy canteens, the crowded lifts and filthy classrooms.. all the precious memories we want to savour after 27 years.. I think we should have made one.. including interviews with students and teachers..
Anyway enough talking.. need to get back to my ENGLISH ESSAY! *fret fret*

Last night was eventful.. VERY..
It all started out simply.. the VNese juniors, Phoung and I going to the track to light a few lanterns, eat a few mooncakes. So we all decided to go up to the tennis courts and along the way try to spook each other into believing that the second floor lift lobby is haunted (hahaha). We get bored of lanterns and then decide to light some candles and Phuong and I start making a shape.. which eventually becomes.. this!
cool huh? (^^)
So then we all start playing a fool, singing songs.. basically making alot of noise.. THEN the guard comes up.. and boy you've never seen cockroaches scatter faster.. most of us hid in the toilets and a few of us attempted to duck down behind the railing, me being one of them.. Thing is.. I'm wearing a WHITE t-shirt at NIGHT which is basically like a bloody beacon. The guard sees me trying to do some kind of squat-run and ends up catching me.. Thankfully Louis pops up and distracts him while we ALL make a run for it! Candles were swiped off the floor and lanterns hastily collected leaving the guard clueless..
SCARY! hahaha.. midnight adventure or smth ^^ Anyway I half expected Mr Ang to make announcement about it the next day but ohwell =D
Anyway I managed to finish my two math journals in one afternoon! Whee! Now all I have left if English ^^ And I managed to get a good grade for Art!! wahaha.. all that work really paid off XD

Lol this is bad.. I'm totally and completely addicted to Facebook at the moment! TIMEWASTER as Kevin would say but hahah ohwell.. my pet rocks!! She won me 1000 munny in the races and I'm filthy rich (only in facebook of course ^^) Been spending all my time betting on her racing and feeding her, superpoking other people and adding all sorts of weird new applications =D
Well at least I finally got to add Cris and Niccy. They've been asking me to join since long ago. Rachel added me.. lol it's been a while.. haven't seen her since the twins were in Singapore.
Yes yes and in the midst of all this betting and adding, I've been ignoring my work.. darn.. well at least now that I'm rich (1000 munny! muahahah) I can take a break from it for a little while.
Tennis for PE this month.. Wonderfully entertaining ^^ I love how some people figure the only way to play tennis is to whack the sense of out the ball and send it flying to the roof of the auditorium rofl... Mikel's comments on Mr Sun are a laugh.. Missed quite a bit of practice due to the rain (every Friday without fail!) and my injury and Sparks.. Well at least it didn't rain yesterday (but the coach didn't show!)
Ohwell just trying to distract myself from certain uhum.. yes and a certain ahem that I think is more or less certain already. Didn't really affect me before, wonder why it has an effect now.. lol yes very cryptic as Abu said.. but still I guess its not really all that important..
What's more important is this BLATANT OUTRIGHT invasion of our privacy. Our hostel actually snoops around our coms if we leave them in the rooms when we go to school. This is OUTRAGEOUS! They can be bloody sued! Hypocrites, the lot of them.. We can't download illegally but you CAN illegally search our coms? Brilliant logic! Just wonderful.. I guess the girls haven't been hit as much because the repercussions of invading a girl's room is greater.. plus I guess they figure all scholar (and s'porean) guys are more prone to illegal activity.. This is so going up in the next principal dialogue. Good thing I've been bringing my com down to school for work lately..

lol yeah thats daddy.. I feel evil ^^ Anyway we did go to Lawry's, which is like really ex.. my jaw dropped and I had to fix it back before we could eat.. The food is GOOOOOOOOD.. really YUMMY.. haha I managed to have only a little of everything since I'd already eaten alot outside the past two days =P
Anyway.. the results for the were supposed to be out last month.. tsk tsk.. and.. I GOT SECOND FOR THE SIBIOL PHOTO COMPETITION!!!!! WAHAHAHAHAHA YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY HOOHOOHOOHOOHOOHOO.. yeah 200 bucks baby!

I just wanna hug Chi ^^ Lol no no its not what you think haha.. Friday night after the Leadership Blah, Chi, Fiona and I went out to Cafe Cartel for dinner which I must say is the biggest dinner I've had in a while.. We had ALOT.. and I mean ALOT plus since after 9 their yummy cheescake is 50% off, we had dessert+dinner together =P YUMMY!

Today went out with Lynn and Ernest to watch Invasion.. Pretty cool I must admit.. it was suitably thrilling and I do love Nicole Kidman ^^ Had Pizza Hut for lunch where we battled once again with stringy cheese!
We wandered around PS for a bit and I bought new black heels from C&K cus they were having a sale! yayness.. one more thing of my list. Lol I think Lynn still feels blur about some stuff we're talking about most of the time ^^ Tried to find my tennis ball keychain but ended up trying to take a bite out of the toy burger =D
Today was fun! Laughed alot.. needed to laugh lol.. Met up with parents for dinner and headed to Taka to buy mooncakes.. always liked the "new" kind.. Daddy actually opened up our freshly purchased tin to try the mooncakes to see if we wanted to buy more.. the store people were so stunned! haha.. until the guy behind the counter joked "Can I try?" rofl.. so we have 2 tins! Yes however I get a feeling I'm not gonna see them cus by the time next weekend comes, they'll be eaten!

Just because I don't say anything doesnt mean I'm not deeply hurt over the fact that because I was sick, people quitely forget that it was my birthday. It really hurts that it is ignored by my parents and my godparents forget to call. God forbid my grandparents should suddenly care after 18 years and chalk up their phone bill by calling or waste money on Jordan and I. Why is it I'm not the one who gets hotels booked and cakes baked and candles lit for? Well.. I get nothing.. I guess surviving on random birthday wishes will have to suffice. I mean I would have liked something.. anything.. instead of spending a whole week waiting for something to happen or someone to do something which never did.
Yeah so basically I've been ill and depressed because even though it's my 18th birthday, somehow it doesn't seem important enough to some people to make it feel special rather then some ordinary day.
There's just so much I want to say.. I just don't know how. It ends up coming out in tears...

I need a new pouch dammit... its like everything I buy at the same time, dies at the same time... ohwell was thinking of getting the ones with tt memory material.. the kind Eugene has.. oh yeah and the wire pouch some pesky junior stole..

Tioman Bio Field Trip 2007 Day 1: Woke up at 5-ish with just a little more left to pack. Managed to make it to the GO on time and not forget anything ^^ The bus ride was quite bumpy and didn't manage to catch much sleep. Contented myself with just listening to music and taking photos. Alighted at the ferry terminal where we boarded to head for Tioman Island. The ferry ride was reasonably fun. A few of use stood up on the deck and let our hair loose (although we looked wild after that ^^) My sunglasses apparently slipped out of my pocket and fell into the sea, among other things such as Chi's cap =P We arrived at Tioman around 12, just in time for lunch. Settled into our rooms (our chalet had a pretty good ocean view btw =P) at high tide.. at low tide..
Spent the rest of the day in debriefing (and constructing our leaf litter funnel set up) and sploshing around the rocks when the tide went out.
The night activities were split up into intertidal and forest. We saw quite a number of things we didn't see in the day like octopus, and sea snakes. After that we had a talk by Dr Tan (who is coincidentally Ms Koh's husband). Chi and I spent the latter part of the night relaxing on the sun deck and munching on satay ^^
Day 2: My team had the forest activity first. We had to measure the tree diameter and height and well as the depth of the leaf litter in a 3 by 3 plot. Bagged samples of the leaf litter then headed back for lunch. Next was the fresh water activity where we had to splash around a freshwater stream and collect as many organisms as possible, plus it was raining so it was a pretty wet 3 hours. Managed to catch a few interesting stuff as well as some yummy looking shrimp =P. After a break we did the intertidal activity in which we had to count the number of organisms in our plot. Our team dug up the most stuff, mainly because chi actually dug up all the coral and overturned all the rocks. Again our team managed to find ALOT more stuff and had all the other teams (as well as the teachers) rushing over to our plot to see. I don't have pictures of all the stuff we found though, because meiying dropped my camera into the water during the freshwater activity and my camera had water in it, had to wait for it to dry...
Being low tide, we managed to make it out to the large rocks that were far out. However in the process, I got cut by coral.. boy it hurt.. plus the slime from the coral wouldn't let my wound heal >.< The rest of the day was devoted to wandering around collecting shells and diving into the swimming pool ^^
Day 3: The morning was spent sorting out our leaf litter to get all the insects. We got some quite interesting ones although the forest cockroaches were damn disgusting >.< We managed to finish up quite fast and we even hand sorted out our leaf litter. I think our team was so dedicated in this trip that even the teachers commended us.. (they even commended us on our funnel set up *glee* I hope this adds to our marks ^^ ) After that we had lunch and an ecology treasure hunt. I realised that I'm quite competitive to the point where I get worked up over very small things. Our team was in the lead until the last challenge where we had to find damn barnacles! We searched all over the beach and Gulabi even went to the mangroves with my camera (although it all proved fruitless) and in the end I found them on the rock that were part of the wall deco near the teachers. UGH I was so pissed.. until poor Gulabi thought I was mad at her =P. Anyway finishing early had its benefits since we had a longer break and spent it munching on ice balls in-front of our chalet and looking for more shells ^^
Lynn, Margy and I even built a sand castle!( which interestingly I've never done before.. playing with sand when you're a toddler doesn't really count anyway =P ) The mangroves activity was next which mainly needed us to stone in-front of a plot of sand and wait for the fiddler crabs to surface. However due to some people who persisted in stomping around after their experiments were over, our crabs were constantly scared back into the burrows.. >.< After that, since we were so close to the "island" and being low tide, Lynn, Chi and I headed over to finally visit. We saw another sea snake and managed to collect a few interesting shells near the rocks. Since visits to the island is forbidden without a teacher's supervision, we had to spend sometime hiding behind the rocks while Mr Soh and another team were coming out of the mangroves ^^
Day 4: The last day I managed to wake up early enough to watch the sunrise. After breakfast we headed over to the teacher's chalet to ask for some containers to keep our *ehem*insects/shells*ehem* Well lets just say we saw a little more then we needed to that morning.First we see Dr Tan half naked airing his pants in-front of his chalet.Then we knock on Mr Soh's door to ask for containers and he himself is half naked when he opens the door!THEN we walk out onto the beach and witness the guys in their glorious underpants going snorkeling. Is there no place safe on this island! *chuckles* Boarded the ferry to go home, although I stayed down below this time ^^ Althogether, I think this trip was pretty good break for us being mentally relaxing but physically taxing which is just what we need to get a good sleep ^^
Interesting things to note: Stupid toilet door -A few couples became more er evident after this trip -I'm addicted to raisins now -The only time we ever needed sunblock was on the deck of the ferry... and that's when we DIDNT have it on.. smart... -I got a nice BIG cowrie shell! (among other things) -Our chalet room was BB2 ^^ -The food was surprisingly nice.. all three meals =D someone walked in on me showering >.< well now I've a fever.. too bad.. confined to bed with only my laptop... what a way to spend my b'day >.< haven't eaten much these past few days.. I need to get better soon!
