Man my sleeping patterns have been weird of late.. woke up at 3 this morning to do work.. slept from 6pm-3am

Fencing ends today! *cries* I really like it.. of course en guarde can be a real pain.. Finally got to do some sparring although I wish I did better ^^
Somehow the guys always seem to poke my side and neck instead of the target area.. aay.. *bruise*
I wanna set up a fencing lodge! But I think I have too many already haha
Today was a long long day.. I find Mr Hang too good to be true since most of the other principals promised us the heaven and earth and I guess I don't see much happening.. I just hope he can deliver all he's promised.

Today's cross country was a big disappointment. My heart decided to do that funny thing again seconds into the run and after 50 metres I realised there was no way I could run today. But I decided to be a sport and walk the entire distance tying for last place with Abu ^^
I actually like the idea although I still have to retake the run eventually. Had a bit of fun with the RHD games later and then Lynn Ernest and I headed off to his house.
It was kinda hilarious cause once we got there, he got lost in his own compound while trying to lead us to his house haha ^^ We spent most of the time laughing while trying to follow him lol..
Sat down for an unexpected lunch at the restaurant in the condo square where we sat so long after lunch to chat that the management provided us with free dessert. Hahaha so embarrassing..
His house is well, one word.. "impressive" I never expected it to be that sleek and simple but it was. Kinda like the seashell theme. Its ironic because even though he's the guy and we're girls, he's way neater then us.. like by alot alot.. lol.
Sat down the whole afternoon slacking and watching tv. His house has a seriously good breeze.. it's so much better then hypnosis..
His family is quite nice esp his mum, and his sister is quite pleasant once you get to know her a little bit. EVERYONE fuzzes his hair..HA! see we're not the only ones ^^
Took an hour long bus ride back to the hostel and I managed to take 4 naps and irritate people by depriving them of the inner seat ^^

Its funny how you're still doing the same things you did two years ago, being there, helping me overcome my problems.. helping my improve my game..only now its under different circumstances, but you're still here for me. I just hope you won't change =)

Tuesday 19th June 3:42am (S'pore)
There's a lightening storm going on outside the plane, and everytime it flashes, it lights up the sky so marvelously.. I think Italy helped me discover how to overcome my motion sickness. I must say the new SIA plane is cool. Bigger, more spacious, better food and better colour schemes. Yay! =P Daddy brought us caviar before dinner Lol I saw a few envious faces around us. Love flying with Daddy, alot of fun stuff comes out of it.
Apparently Jet landed in S'pore on the night of our departure. Caught a glimpse of them. There was this crazy girl laughing hysterically at every joke one of them made.. Kinda freaked them out haha. Of course they turned up fashionably late. Denise Keller did a good job of killing time *stabs*
Ok back to studying for Chem exam..
Wednesday 20th June 7:00am (Paris)
Yesterday after touchdown we headed to our hotel for a quick nap before going out. Went to the French version of our "science centre". The building was pretty unspectacular but the exhibits were pretty interesting.
Travelled around using the metro ( I miss London underground!! )
Went to La Defense where we did some shopping in the mall and took pictures at La Grand Arch.
The weather was kinda beastly but it got cooler toward the evening. Mum and Dad bought a birthday cake and my brother and I celebrated our pre-16th and 18th birthday in the hotel room!
The candles turned out to be those relighting ones so we all had a hell of a shock when they came back on after we blew them out hahah!
Quite fun being the only one who can speak french..Had to buy tickets and food and ask for directions.. I feel so pro *smirk*
Thursday 21st June 10:10pm (Paris)
Today was our last day in Paris *cries* Spent the morning at the Notre Dame.
I must say after Italy, all the cathedrals look the same =D Had lunch on a park bench (a family tradition, this is what a holiday should be!) with croissants and ham and boisson cheese that is like 1 euro a box! Damn cheap as compared to $7 over here. Anyway, headed to the Louvre where I finally realised that long museum treks dont quite agree with me.. even in Italy it was the same in the Ufizzi.
I finally got to see the Winged Victory of Samothrace which is..... SO COOL!!!!! AHH!! it's like my all time favourite! To hell with the Mona Lisa =P Saw a numerous other things I learnt about in Art History (This is why I take it ^^) Well we spent almost half the day there, then we headed to the Eiffel Tower.
Took a picture in the middle of the road infront of the "Arch de Triomphe"
There was a really long queue to get to the top of the Eiffel tower, especially since EVERYONE wants to take the lift ^^ My mum was quite pissed at this French guy that was behind me in the queue and was trying to get my attention. She told me about it later, but I was too busy talking to my brother that I didn't even know.. LOL! this IS interesting..
Spent quite alot of time up on the top.. the view is just so good..
What a way to celebrate our birthdays o-(^.^)-o..

I recently read someone's blog and what I found there quite surprised me.
Debz has talents in art, which I admire (I love art, but not born with a talent to begin with)
I guess I wish I were better known for other things like being hard working or being smart or having determination, but I suppose thats my fault. The DISC test was right. I'm a completely different person when I'm alone. I'm more disciplined and focused and hard working. Don't get me wrong, my everyday self isn't a put on, it's just the fun side of me but when I really set my mind to do something, I follow it through. Which is why I tend to get more work done when I'm alone, so I guess everyone tends to think of me as a slacker since I'm not always seen doing work..
I've always known that I'm interest driven which means that my grades tend to be very polar.
I don't consider myself to possess any talent in art (which may be just my perfectionist nature speaking) although I do know that I have alot of creativity.
Still I don't think there is anything that I can do to change this perception of me. Being in this school means that one is competing against the best of the best and so people like me pale in comparison to everyone above the clouds.
But for me, unlike many people in this school who regret coming to NUSHS, I'm in a better position to appreciate the training the school is giving us no matter how crappy it can get frequently. For me it's just a natural progression of my studies since I have nothing to to compare this against. So I'm not really complaining as it were, just rather discontent with the general opinion about my abilites.

I fell off my bed this morning while trying to get up.. so clever of me...
I'm so dead this week. Just as well there isn't much hmwk. Had tkd,fencing,2km napfa trial and tennis all in consecutive days.. *my legs! they pain...*
lol abu was so cute yesterday, flailing her arms over missing wan ton in her noodles.. I could just picture that in an anime.. ^^ hahaha
ok as soon as blogger stops being stubborn and allows me to upload my paris pics, I'll post my entries ^^
The urine test for bio was seriously disturbing.. but I guess there's nothing wrong with it, just not used to seeing so many variations of the colour of pee >.<
