Yesterday was quite funny. Our chem lab was rather er.. eventful haha.
was doing hydrolysis of methyl salicylate. I think the whole class was so nervous about handling the round bottom flasks and the clamp esp when some of them were half falling of the clamps. halfway through, gabriel's oil bath kinda exploded and splattered hot oil all over his er... pants.. so he had to troop back to hostel and change into his BRIGHT yellow berms. Anyway the rest of lab was rather normal until we got to the crystallizing stage and Aiwei managed to get pretty nice needle crystals.. then we discovered that GABRIEL had the longest.. er... needles =D
and you know what they saw about crystals.. girls tend to get the longer one because they are patient. ROFL.. we're like *gabriel.. it's OKAY.. nothing to be ashamed of.. hahaha*
bleagh tomorrow I've got this N.E. symposium which I SO WISH I didn't have to go to, but Mr Png is too lazy to find another person to go with me.. and he even wants to to run for some N.E position.. CMI la..
Yay class decoration is finally done! ok I'll admit it isn't the best but I think the decorations have a little more depth in their meaning.. such as the for all 1 wall.. and the score board which unintentionally happens to be our class number (honestly I didn't realise it till after I finished painting it). Banner is UP!!! yay and looking pretty good.. dun have a pic of it now but this is what the design looks like.

whew busy last few days.
weekend was spent at bukit batok old folks home doing art for them to decorate the home with.
did a portrait of two of the residents playing chinese chess but didn't manage to do much since I only had 20 minutes to do it.. spent alot of time on my first picture ^^
back in school and with the class decoration competition on thursday, my class still had not come up with a theme and it was monday already. Whereas other classes spent the week doing their class up, ours was still shuffling their feet around.. so had to get everyone to sit down and come up with something, send ppl off to buy materials and design the stuff on the walls. oh the joys of staying in hostel ^^ we managed to get half done that night. I even managed to get us excused from study time =D

Homework just trickling in right now.. lol hols are so over already
hostel gave out tickets to some basketball tournament which gave everyone an excuse to dress up and go out. Some of my juniors even made it a date! which kinda reminds me of several of our people tt took advantage of this outing too.. ^.0
yay finally shifted my french class to a more reasonable day, but now I come back at about 10.. haha Manu is so narcissistic.. but a big welcome break from Franck and his trigger happy mouth =)
earnest ernest, energetic eugene, daring deborah, little lynn.. hairy hari.. lolness! I think that was one lame ice breaker.. but the names stick in our memory.
mr chua made us do still life portraits.. my first time doing charcoal! truly.. i've never used that medium before.. only pencils and paints.
this week has been filled with lots of sick jokes at the dinner table.. and surprisingly not always from me or lynn or elmo..

Spent the whole of dinner today devoted to watching potterpuppetpals and other deviant stuff.. managed to introduce lynn to the assumption song and had to spend the another 5 MINS explaining the innuendo..

man, year 5 is jammed packed with so much stuff. Ironically it isn't schoolwork.. it's all school based programs and leadership stuff.. oh man.. I'm going to start forgetting all the appointments I have now..
Started working on my e-portfolio. I think this year is going to bring in a slew of activities that I have to add in there.
I'm starting to think sick a little more often.. Must be due to all that unhealthy after-dinner conversations I've been having..
The new p.e. shirt looks abominable. I wonder who designed that?!?! If I remember correctly, when our school first opened, prof lai told me that they had gotten a famous designer to design our school uniform.. some talent this guy's got.. I suppose maybe the guys feel uncomfortable in singlets but if I were a guy, I really wouldn't go around looking like a green circus tent. Even the girl's p.e. shirt looks better..
Teachers.... are all the same... If I had ever held out any hope that teachers DO give a damn about students who aren't the brightest thing in class, today has just extinguished it.. and people wonder why I never send Teacher's Day cards..
met up with Dan for dinner and a much needed break from hostel food.. walked around jinza looking for a b'day present for my friend but to no avail.. landed ourselves in the lan shop and played CS and DOTA to our hearts content haha..

wow it's already been 2 weeks since school started.. ok maybe not 2 weeks.. 1.5 weeks?
anyway come to find out we've been shuffled into subject classes this year (why am I not surprised)I'm going to hold my peace on that but I seriously feel leaving us in our mentor groups would have been WAY better.
Orientation was ok.. can't get the mass dance song out of my head!!! Was busy tending to my CCA booth so Ernest had to teach me the dance.. haha lynn seems to like it lots.. yaay for Debbie Gibson! Now Elaine has left tennis so it's Me and Florence and some junior girls. Mr SUN has returned to being our TIC.. sigh.. but we managed to stir a few people's interest in tennis.. Stanley kept whistling to the juniors in an attempt to attract attention to the booth.. so lewd.. yuck..
basketballers, netballers and badminton players were all in adjacent booths so poor gavel club ended having lots of balls in their court ^^ talk about attempts on their lives haha
Too bad 10 out of 18 in our class are PSLs.. our remaining class size for the orientation was so small.. the scavenger hunt was well.. left me hoarse..but the first two days running through rules and regulations was such a bloody waste of time.. yeah I know it's necessary but it's still a bloody waste of time.. >.<

bah there's homework already.. chem looks fun.. at least the stuff we are learning now. I've learnt never to speak to soon because my words seem to have a way of turning on me.. bleagh
Found out more people left school.. too bad though.. but I wish Thejas hadn't left.. tennis is so much less fun without him =(

had some pretty interesting dinner table discussion this evening with eugene roy and lynn.. "patches" huh? wonder about who roy was referring to.. eugene's "patch".. hmm hehehe.. I wonder about the other people in our mentor grp.. any other "patches"? would be interesting to find out..
