New training rules
Hi guys. Appreciate it very much if you guys can adhere to these simple rules. Just a few only ok? They are really really really simple ones!- Please come for EVERY TRAINING.
- If you can't come for any training, please have a valid reason which worthy of your conscience.
- Take care of yourselves. NO MORE HEIQAL STYLE!! He broke his arm while playing football when it is training time!!!
- Do your pull ups every day
- BE COMMITTED to yourself and the team
Reasons such as you have tuition and can't come, for once or twice is OK, but Mr Ng will say "Is there absolutely no way to reschedule your tuition?" when he is actually already very angry!!!
Please take note that at the time of this post, We are 3 MONTHS AND 13 DAYS From our NATIONAL SCHOOLS DRAGONBOAT CHAMPIONSHIPS. That makes up to about less then 100 days!!! If you want NSDBC medal, then come for training!!!
We hope that it is not always Victor, Tong Yien, Melvin, Shaun, Darren & Tiak Hock at the trainings and the rest only drop by for land and DB. Very unfair to all of us ok.. We want to win!

Singapore Canoe Marathon
CCHY Dragonboat is sending in four (4) rowers in for Singapore Canoe Marathon 2010, on 17 January 2010. Representing us are: Victor, Tong Yien, Melvin and myself (Shaun). This is the first time CCHY is sending in rowers for Canoe Competitions. We will be rowing in 14km Novice Men Category. There should be 2 K boats and 2 T boats, otherwise 4 T boats. The main objective for taking part in SCM 2010 is to be exposed to Canoe competitions. Through taking part in such competitions can we be more experienced in such activities, and to be a stronger person. For now, lets hope that we will achieve better timings and do the team proud.Wednesday, December 30, 2009

Hi folks.
1. The no. of people attending is getting lesser and lesser and eventually resting at a pathetic 10 or so. It's not going to benefit the competition boat if someone who don't attend trainings get to row in it. Recall the last time where we lost to yuan ching by 0.02sec? You won't want it to happen again do you?
2. Kayaking trainings are started so that you can learn how to row more efficiently with less energy. It's pointless to miss trainings that help you to have more efficient stokes and then, after a competition where you have lost, complain and reflect about things that should be done.
This will be my last post and for those who don't know, I have left cchy and therefore won't be rowing for the b division. I can only hope of the best for the team.
Regards and all the best, Stephen.
