Work Zone!

Landon has been working so hard over the past few weeks building us a deck! We are almost finished except for the last few finishing touches. We still need to stain it and put the underneath covering around it. We love to sit outside and enjoy being together. My Dad came down and gave lots of advice and help (and the use of tools) as well as Barney. Thanks you guys!!

Ogden Marathon Relay

Last weekend I was able to run with a great group of girls in the Ogden Marathon Relay. They are a speedy group of ladies and we placed 3rd in the women's division! Way to go girls!!!! I seriously have to kick in high gear to keep up with them cause they CRUISE and can totally fly! We finished the full marathon between the 5 of us with a time of 3:31. Not too shabby! It was such a beautiful course and an awesome experience. Shanae, Darci, Kacee, Angie, Cody

"Trashbag Girls"
Who gets silly as the night gets late??? This is how we keep warm in the wee hours of the morning in little clothing when we sit waiting and waiting and waiting for the race to start. Oh, so much fun!

Thanks girls for such a great weekend. Can't wait for next year!

Jelly Bean Topiary

Blogging has kind of been put on the back burner as of lately, so instead of spending some quality time playing catch-up, I decided to get creative and start crafting...{or do what I do best and blog hop til I find what I like and copy it!!} So... while we enjoyed my favorite Sunday of the year yesterday, this is what I worked on. I found the inspiration and a little different idea over at the "crafty sisters" link on the side of my blog. It is a super cute idea that you should check out. It was really easy and quite fast...that is fast compared to those dang kissing balls. If anyone made those...you know what I'm talking about. These were a cinch compared to those! :)

Other news around our house...we are finally doing better. Thank you for all your concern and calls and prayers! Ledgen is finally showing signs of his health improving. I think in just a few months we have gone through the flu, serious RSV of being in the hospital, on oxygen for a month, breathing treatments with the nebulizer, antibiotics, ear infections, colds, back to the flu again, a week we thought we were better, back to colds, RSV again, almost back to the hospital, double ear infections again, and on and on and on..... Who knows. Maybe it's just April fool's and we'll be sick again next week, but we'll hang in there and take a rainbow mixed with the rain! Happy Spring!

Happy Heart Day!!

~fabulous fall~

One of our favorite things to do as a family is go for walks. Ledgen absolutely loved the front pack carrier and smiled and talked the whole time. Hopefully we can get a few more in before it gets too chilly out there. Love those crisp fall days!
This is my boy! He loves LoVeS LOVES his hands. Sometimes he acts like he's attacking them and grunts and growls as he chews on them. Maybe I'll start worrying when teeth come in??

.......finally......
his adorable smile. I love this face to pieces and can't get enough....hopefully a happy look I will never forget.

I will probably post picture after picture just to help me never forget.

...and another...

ok, last one!

Aggie football fun. We had a great time at the game this past Saturday. My parents drove down, some of Landon's family were there, and our friends Krystal, Kayson and Jess.
Great weather
....and....
a WIN!! Go Aggies!

Kayson and Jess...Super cute! Kayson was so sweet. He slept almost the whole game.

My Mom with the girls. Her two little sidekicks. They don't let my Mom get too far.
A great weekend!

Glitter Galore

I don't think I'll ever be able to clean up all the little sparkles off my bathroom floor and counter. Holy glitter! After spraying Brecka's hair for preschool on Thursday, then Jada's for Kindergarten on Friday, and then both on Saturday...wow...No wonder why even after showers/baths that we all went to church today all sparkled up! Poor Ledgen has been covered from head to toe all week...thanks to the constant hugs and kisses from the girls.
It was red ribbon week at Jada's school and so each day brought exciting activities. And since it happened to be the week of Halloween, there was an even bigger buzz in the air. Not only did they get to have a Halloween party, but it was crazy hair day to boot!Jada and her friends had to wrap each other up like mummies. Jada had way too much fun with this activity!! She loved it!

Brecka got to dress up for preschool and my princess couldn't have been more excited.

Jada also got to dress up for Kindergarten. She was a fairy.

"Look Mom, I'm flying!"

Here is my little skeleton. I FINALLY got somewhat of a smile on camera. Boy, he sure makes it tricky to capture that happy face.

Bonnie invited the kids over to make doughnuts Sat. morning. They had a blast making a mess in the flour and then eating up their hard work!

Right before we set out to trick-or-treat...in the rain....

Ledgen did so good for his first Halloween. He slept the whole time we walked around trick-or-treating and then was really good at the Aggie game. What a fun day!

growing kiddos

My {little} big girl Jada started Kindergarten this year. She was so excited and ready to be an official "school girl". I didn't have my camera so my friend graciously took some pics. Thanks Brooke!
Jada is ready for the big first day of school as she gives some supplies to her teacher.

My little model. She LOVES to pose for any kind of pictures.

Ledgen is already 3 months old. I can't believe how fast September and October have flown by.

Here is my sweet little man on his special blessing day, 10-10-10. We had lots of support from family and a day of gorgeous weather. He was even happy for his big moment in the spotlight!! :) Ledgen was lucky enough to have four GREAT Grandparents {Great Grandma & Grandpa Lilya and Great Grandma and Grandpa Herbst}, three Grandparents {Grandma Day and Grandma and Grandpa Lilya}, and LOTS and LOTS of uncles, aunts, and cousins. What a great day.

(p.s. I tried and tried to upload pictures of Brecka...but for some reason it wouldn't work. Hopefully I'll be able to try again...soon!)
