Our family of 4. I think that Dawson missed the memo that he needed to smile for the pic. Yes, I know we look crooked in this. The photographer shall remain nameless. ;)

A night out
We had our first night out on Thursday and went to the OSU football game. The trip worked out great because Geoff had to be in town to do interviews for work. He spent all day Friday interviewing people and Dawson, Hudson, and I spent the day at my parents house. Meme came over in the morning and we saw my grandma and 2 aunts in the afternoon. I even managed to sneak away ALONE and doing a little bit of shopping. It was wonderful!

"Boob"
I know that this blog title probably really got you thinking. Breastfeeding a baby with a curious toddler in the house sure brings some funny moments that I had to share. This will be one of those posts that I'm sure Dawson will just love when he's about 15.
I was really worried about how Dawson would act while I was nursing Hudson but it, along with basically everything else, has turned out fine. He does feel the need to point and say "boob" every time that Hudson is eating. He says this word very clear! Our neighbor was outside yesterday while Geoff and Dawson were mowing. He started talking to them and the neighbor asked Dawson what Hudson was doing. Geoff said that he was eating and Dawson felt the need to start saying, "boob" over and over again to the neighbor.
The breast pump scared Dawson for a few days. He would whine around if I was using it and start saying, "all done." Now he says his new favorite word, "boob" whenever he sees it out. He's no longer afraid of it and luckily hasn't tried it out himself.
A few days ago I was hooking my bra back and adjusting the pads. Geoff looks over the see Dawson with his hand down the front of his shirt, imitating me. The kid imitates everything! I'm guessing this will not be the end of the stories on this topic but I had to write about some of them so that I do not forget.
Now onto a new topic.....We set Dawson's bounce house up today and enjoyed some time outside in the nice weather.

Hello Rumble!
We went to Drayden's 3rd birthday party today. Drayden's mom, Kristy, and Geoff worked together for several years and have been good friends. He loves the OKC Thunder and Rumble so Kristy hired Rumble to make an apperance at the party. Geoff and I were sure that Dawson would start crying and want nothing to do with Rumble. He seemed a little unsure for a few minutes but very quickly decided that he liked Rumble. He gave him a high five and even ended up giving him a hug! He talked about Rumble all day and loves his new back pack that Rumble gave him.

Dawson and Hudson
I've had so many people comment on how much Hudson looks like Dawson. I decided to put pictures of them side by side to compare their pics. You should be able to double click on the pics to see them better. It does amazes me at how much they do look alike! Hudson is on the left and Dawson is on the right in all of the pictures.
Things are going well here. I think that Hudson is going through a growth spurt right now because I have fed him constantly the past 2 days. Yesterday from 11:00am-11:00pm, he ate about every hour to hour and a half! He must have decided that I needed a break from feeding him because he slept from 11:30-5:15 this morning. It was great!
Dawson went to school again yesterday and bawled when I dropped him off. I heard him screaming, "MOMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYY" all the way down the hallway. I kept expecting to get a call from school to come get him but he ended up doing okay. I have decided that I might not get any art project made, EVER but that's okay. He has started taking a nap there and he also ate more of his lunch yesterday so he's making progress! His class plays outside with one other class. Taylor and Charlie (2 of his buddies), are in the other class and I know that they enjoy playing together.
Dawson is still doing very well adjusting to his new baby brother. He is so sweet to him and says, "kiss" about 20 times a day and leans over to kiss Hudson. It's so sweet and I love that he's adjusted so well.

First bath
Hudson had his first real bath last night. We put Hudson's little tub inside of the big bathtub and let both boys take a bath at the same time. Hudson seemed to really like it and didn't even seem to mind the part when big brother Dawson poured a cup of water right on his head. Yes, you read that correctly! We have it on video and it's priceless. I would post it on here but there are little boy parts all over the video and think I better pass on posting it. Dawson is in the background of the video saying, "Hudson, Hudson" and then he pours the water on his head and Geoff starts saying, "no no no no no." Wonderful! I'm sure this will not be the last time that happens.
Fun times with Ma Dee-Dee
Grandma Dee-Dee came over on Thursday and spent a couple of nights with us. It was so nice to have her here and I know that Dawson would certainly agree. It is amazing how helpful an extra set of hands can be right now! We went to the park yesterday to feed the ducks and play. Dawson showed Ma Dee-Dee how much he loves ducks and then showed her exactly where he wanted her to stand at the playground while he went down the slide. Mr.Bossy! We went to lunch at one of Dawson's favorite places, Chick-fil-a, and then came home for nap time. Thank you Ma Dee-Dee for coming to spend time with us!
