My cousin Amanda is going to college here now and only lives about 5 minutes away from us. We have loved having her here and the boys are crazy about her. Dawson talks about her a few times a day or asks "What's Amanda doing?" As soon as I tell him that she's either at school or make something up that she might be doing, he argues with me. Okay fine, she's not at school, she's at home playing! She swam with us Friday afternoon and then came back later that evening and babysat the boys so that Geoff and I could have a date night. Hudson loves to take advantage of Dawson's things while he's asleep. Hudson was playing in the living room on Friday while I was picking up the kitchen. I looked in the living room and found him sitting in Dawson's chair with a big smile on his face.
He loves to help me vacuum. Gosh I love his smile!
The boys were both up bright and early on Friday morning. 6:40 and 6:43. We ended up taking a walk around the neighborhood and stopped by the neighborhood park. The weather was great on Friday morning!
Hudson did end up having to miss out on his first day of school on Thursday. He still had a fever but didn't act like he felt terrible. Thursday evening he ended up with a fever of 103 and we could tell that he felt bad. We got his fever down some and laid him down around 7:45. I heard him crying around 8:30 and walked upstairs. His fever had broke and the kid was ready to party! He was up until 10:00 just laughing, playing, and reading books.
This happened on Friday morning. Hudson fought the lion and the lion won. Speaking of that stupid lion.....I'm pretty sure that it might be the death of me. If you have been to our house, you know what lion I'm talking about. It's this little push and ride lion. I've had it in a lot of pictures because someone is always playing with it. My mom bought it at the Just Between Friends sale of $15 when Dawson was a baby! Best $15 ever! Anyway....both kids love it and it's the cause of many fights and time outs. We usually tell Dawson that he can't play with it because it helps Hudson walk. You know how well 3 year old boys listen. Dawson pushes it into Hudson, sticks his feet out so that Hudson can't go forward, steals it away from him, etc. The next minute, he might be handing it over for him to play with. I should have checked the JBF sale last week to see if they had one for Dawson. It might save me a lot of headaches!
