Porter's First Day of Kindergarten

Porter had his first day of kindergarten yesterday.  He picked his outfit and couldn't wait to go to the bus stop.

These two are so handsome!

Must-have picture on the front porch on the first day!

It was pretty bright and he was tired of having his picture taken :)

He marched right on the bus without even a look back at Davy and I.  We couldn't believe how big he looked with his backpack climbing those stairs.

Thanks to the Powells for this picture.  We didn't follow him to school as he was so happy to go.

Here he is all done with his first day!

The neighborhood buddies all done with their first day!  What a troop!

Khloe's Third Birthday

My little cheesy turned 3 last Saturday.  She had to have a princess party.
The Cinderella cake was almost my undoing as it stuck in every pan I tried.  Thank goodness for frosting to hide some imperfections.

It was all worth it as she loved it!

Both grandmas gave her jammies.  She loves them so much!

Porter was a great helper for her when she needed it.

Both enthralled with the Cinderella coach present.

He is the best big brother!

We had a great day as a family and love each other so much!

We bought her all the stuff for princess dress ups.  I made her six princess dress up costumes.  They turned out great and she LOVES them.  We can't believe that it has been three years since she came so early and spent her first month at the NICU.  So glad those days are over and that she is our little sassafrass.  We wouldn't want her any other way.  We love you Khloe!

All decked out!

The two pairs of jammies from Grammy and Papa were a big hit.  She threw up on the Minnie pair last night and was distraught.

Khloe's First Day of Preschool

Khloe had her first day of preschool yesterday. She couldn't wait to get her backpack on and walk to school.
I made her dress and matching bow. She looked so cute and so big. She was a bit nervous to leave my side, but after a gentle shove and a quick exit by me, she was fine. Can't believe three years ago I was in the hospital waiting for her to come.
She came running out so excited with her picture and a treat. What a big girl!

Half Marathoners!

We did it! Davy and I both finished the Timpanogos Half Marathon on Saturday. It felt great running down the canyon and crossing the finish line. I finished in 1:55.28. I was 222 out of 700 women. Not too shabby. So excited to have finished in under 2 hours. Davy's lack of training caught up with him at about mile 8 and he waved me ahead. He did great and finished in 2:03. So proud of the both of us! We have super sore legs and bodies, but it was worth it!

Independence Day!

We had a great low-key 4th of July. Dinner with Mom and Brent and the Draneys followed by Davy's pyrotechnics. It didn't disappoint. The only thing that did was Davy's fumanchu mustache.
Love this closed-eye boy!

Sassafrass and I in our patriotic attire.
She is the cutest almost three year old!
