Guess who's potty trained?

Yes, it is true! Porter has been dry and gone potty for the last 5 days! Yeah, for us and especially for him. He does well with candy cane bribes, even bubbles. Whatever works. Also, two weeks ago, we were driving home from Max and Shaun's. Porter wanted his window down. Davy told him he only could if he threw his pacifier out of the window. He said okay, so Davy rolled down the window. Porter looked at us, looked at his pacifier, and threw it out the window! We couldn't believe it. The dilemma of how and when to get rid of it was solved. He didn't even have a meltdown in the days following. When he would cry for it, we would just remind him that he threw it out the window. Very effective tactic! He is such a great boy. Today, he wanted to be dressed as a donkey thanks to Pinocchio. Two year olds are so funny!

Khloe is doing great. She gets bigger everyday and now weighs over ten pounds. She's our little princess, and we love her so much.

Our Little Princess

Isn't she beautiful? Alisa took the most beatiful pictures of our Khloe girl. We had a hard time chosing, so I printed a ton of them. You know me and pictures.
We blessed her on the First, so here she is in her blessing dress.

Daddy's little girl.

Mommy's little sweetheart.

Our little princess!

Family Picture Fun

We were pretty worried we wouldn't have a good picture because Porter wasn"t cooperating, but as you can see, they turned out great.

Porter Rockwell or Porter Max?

For Halloween this year, Davy thought Porter would be a perfect Porter Rockwell. He definitely was! He loved his cowboy boots, hats, six-shooter, knife, and even the hair. It was so fun to take him trick or treating. All he wanted to do was eat his sucker as we walked to a few houses. He loved handing out the candy best. What a great day and great costume!

Update on Khloe!

Khloe is doing great. She is getting bigger everyday. Her cheeks are chubby, and she's eating great! Last night she slept from 10 to 4, so we're hoping the trend continues. She goes to the doctor on Monday for her next checkup. We love her so much.

Khloe is Home!

Khloe is home! We got to bring her home around 12:30.
I was so excited to finally be able to have her wear a headband. Isn't she just gorgeous?
Davy rushed home from work so we could both go and pick her up from the hospital.
Porter LOVES his baby sister. He couldn't wait to hold her, and he wouldn't give her up. When I tried to take her, he just held on tighter. Boy am I going to have quite the helper.

It is absolutely wonderful to have our entire family together now. I feel so incredibly blessed and indebted to my Father in Heaven for my abundant blessings and sustaining through these past three months. Everything has been worth it to get us to today.
I am so lucky to have two of the most incredible children. Oh, motherhood is such a joy!

Khloe is One Month Old!

Isn't she so pretty? Don't you love the double bow? Khloe is a month old today and doing well. We had hope that she would be coming home tomorrow. However, she's not tolerating all of her feeds as the doctors would like, so she'll be staying a little longer. Of course, we are disappointed, but we only want her home if she is ready. Thank you for all of your prayers in her behalf, and please keep praying. This is one Mommy who's ready to be done commuting to see her children.

Khloe's Room Makeover

While I was on bed rest, my dear friends, Kallee, Lindsay, and Missy, offered to decorate Khloe's room for me since I couldn't shop, lift things, etc. They knew what I wanted and when I came home from having Khloe, her room was done. Isn't it beautiful. I absolutely love it. All it needs is Khloe sleeping in it.

Khloe Update and Porter at the Fair

Yesterday, we decided to go the Utah State Fair. Porter loved it. Here he is petting a sheep.
He was so big riding the pony. He didn't even need Davy by his side. He is such a big boy now.
The rides were his favorite. He went on the roller coaster with Grandma and loved it. He went on at least four different rides and would have kept on going if we'd have let him. What a fun morning out! I was so grateful that I could go on this little family outing. Porter is getting so big and talking up a storm. He sleeps in his big boy bed and is quite the little man.
Khloe is doing very well. She got the pic line out of her hand yesterday, which is big milestone. That means no more iv fluids, yeah! She still has her feeding tube, but we will try breastfeeding in a couple of days. She is doing really well and is such a pretty girl. This is the first pic with her eyes open. The flash about blinds her, so we don't take too many.
I get to hold her two times a day, and they are precious times. She is learning to latch on, and we are so thrilled.
Needless to say, Khloe already has Daddy wrapped around her little finger!

Khloe Girl!

Our beautiful baby girl was born last night August 27 at 10:40 pm. She weighs 4 lbs 14 oz and is 18 inches long. She is amazing all of the doctors. Her lungs are fully developed and is breathing fine on her own. She never needed any help which is truly a miracle. She has a feeding tube and had breast milk for the first time this afternoon.
She has long fingers and toes. Her pinkies are crooked just like Mommy's and Porter's. She has hair although not near as much as Porter had. It is much lighter in color too. When I saw her for the first time last night, she already had it washed and done with a pink bow. What great nurses!
After being in the hospital in bed since Monday evening, it was so wonderful to take a shower today, wash my hair, get dressed, and feel human again. I had to make our first mother daughter photo a good one. She is just so beautiful. It is so crazy that she is here. I love her so much and can't wait to hold her.
It didn't take long for Khloe to get her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Davy went to the NICU with her right away and goes to see her first when he comes to and from the hospital. It is so sweet to see them together. We feel pure joy in her arrival and her progress thus far. We are so grateful to Heavenly Father and to all of you for your faith and prayers. She truly is a miracle baby and quite a fighter. Porter has seen her pictures and isn't quite sure what is going on. I'll go home tomorrow evening and help him get back to our normal routine, until our sweet little Khloe can join us at home. We are so very blessed to now have two beautiful children.

Baby Khloe Doesn't Want to Wait til October!

Well, it has been a crazy July. On July 1 at 24 weeks, I went to the hospital with pre-term labor and a bladder infection. After spending a night there, I came home to moderate bed rest and felt better after about a week. So I thought the labor was just from the infection and I was going to be fine. On July 16 at 26 weeks, I went back to the hospital with pre-term labor and dilated from a 1 to a 2 overnight. I got pumped full of medication to stop the contractions and was admitted. I spent the next 2 weeks on bed rest in the hospital. It was hell not being home with Davy and Porter. Thank you to everyone who came to see me or called. The hospital is one lonely place. I am now home on strict bed rest and am just waiting for the next 6 weeks at least to pass. Baby Khloe looks great and is growing really well. She is measuring about a week ahead, so that is refreshing. I go back to see the doctor weekly and hope that the dilating will stop until she's at least 34 weeks. Thank you for all of your prayers and service. I so appreciate it and look forward to being the one serving instead of the one being served.

Porter's 2nd Birthday!

Porter's 2nd birthday was a hit. He's really into tractors, lawnmowers, four-wheelers, basically anything he can ride on or drive. So this year, his cake had to be a tractor. Luckily, I found a pan and went to work. Davy said it had to be John Deere green, so it turned out well.

He loved his cake. As soon as he saw it, he said "tractor."

Aunt Mandy and the kids gave him Bob the Builder toys. Obviously, he loved them. He had them opened before we even started on the other presents.

He was really good at unwrapping his presents. It was so funny because he wanted every bit of paper off of the presents.

He got Toy Story toys from the Nuttall's which he loves. We couldn't even get him to look up from playing with them to take a family picture. This is the best we could get. We had a great day and can't believe our Porter Max is already 2!

We're Having a Girl!!!

We finally had our ultrasound today, and just as I had suspected and (hoped), we're having a GIRL!!! She looks wonderful and is developing perfectly. She had her hand up by her face just like her big brother did when we saw him for the first time! We are thrilled. When we showed Porter the pictures, he first made his monkey noise. (He's done that every time he sees them.) Then, when I told him they were of the baby, he took them and hugged them.

Here is a picture of her legs, and as you can notice, no boy parts! I've only bought one hat, one pair of sandals, one dress, and a chandelier for her room hoping my inclinations were correct. They were, so now I can go crazy!

Great Porter Moments!

Davy and I were enjoying a quiet moment on the couch, when Davy thought "I'd better see what Porter is up to." He went upstairs to find a cloud of baby powder and one delighted Porter. He'd poured it on the bed and was pounding the bed to watch the powder fly. Oh what fun! He loved the vacuum and cleaning it up to. He's so helpful.

Needless to say, he was covered!

Porter's new favorite spot. He sat in there for quite a while this morning, playing the drums on the bowls.

Here he is enjoying his first ice cream cone. After a few minutes, he figured out how to lick it.

Mommy and Porter sure love ice cream and can't wait for summer!
