All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!

Last week, I was singing "All I Want for Christmas" to Porter. Lo and behold, his front tooth poked through this past weekend. We are excited. He has his two bottom teeth, two molars, and now one of the front.

Kesli and Ryli are in town for the whole month, and it is so great having our boys play. They love watching the train at Grandma and Papa's and pushing each other in the baby stroller. What a great start to the holiday season.

We have had such a great week. Monday and Tuesday we made candy at Grandma Jill's. I even dipped my own chocolates. (I know impressive. Thanks to the culinary tutelage of my dear mother). We made caramels, turtles, cremes of every flavor, toffee, peanut butter cups, and even suckers.

When I was little, my mom would make suckers every year and put them in this Christmas tree board. It is one of my favorite memories. So there Porter and I were yesterday, enjoying our suckers.

6 Things I Love!

Okay so Lindsay tagged me, so now it is my turn to share 6 things I love for any of you who care.

#1-DAVY! Need I say more. My life has been so complete since I fell in love with David Kelley McArthur. We celebrate our 6th anniversary this year and have been together for 9 1/2 years. Wow. Does time fly. I really do have the best husband. Last night I hosted the Progessive Dinner for Relief Society. Davy noticed I was "on a rampage" (as he likes to call it), so he helped me prepare dinner. Not only that, but when I came back from dessert, all of the dishes were done and the kitchen was spotless. It was a small act of kindness, but meant the world to me. There are so many other examples of reasons why I love him that there are too many to list. Way to go husband of the year!!

#2-PORTER! He is the light of my life. He is such a wonderful boy, and I love being his mom. We have such a great time together. Right now he is sleeping, which is wonderful since he's been a tad bit cranky this morning. I love to watch him sleep. I go in at night after he's asleep, and I could just watch him for hours. I still can't believe that he is mine! I am so lucky! Also, it is the best to see him and Davy together. He cries everytime Davy leaves to work and asks me all day long, "Dada?" He gets so excited when Davy comes through the door. What a life!

#3-FAMILY! Although we are a tad bit dysfunctional (Okay, that is a huge understatement!), I wouldn't trade the members of my family for anything. I love my sisters and brothers so much. I wish we all lived right next to each other, because now Mandy and I are the only ones close. And as far as mom's go, mine wins the Best Mother Ever award hands down. She means everything to me, and I am so grateful she is staying so healthy. Brent takes such good care of her and is the best "papa" to all of our kids. As far as in-laws go, I definitely won the jackpot there. Boy am I lucky!

#4-A GOOD BOOK! I LOVE to read! Nothing is better than reading a good book in a bubble bath. We might be moving, and of course our next house will have a jetted tub, so my reading time is more enjoyable. Davy laughs at me because when I have a good book to read, I disappear to my room or the tub for hours.

#5-CHICKEN FINGERS, FRIES, and a SHAKE! This is my favorite calorie-filled, carb-overloaded, fat making meal, and I don't even care!

#6-THE GOSPEL! Without it my life wouldn't be anything, and I wouldn't have made it through all of the ups and downs of the last twenty-eight years.

Trick or Treat

Porter's 2nd Halloween was a success. He loved being a monkey.
He was so fascinated by the banana in his pocket.

Here is with Grandma, Papa, and Grandma Kelley.
We had to entice him with a treat to stay focused in the pictures.

Of course, we had to visit both grandparents. He loved the pumkins on Grandma's shirt.
He made Papa take him to go and swing. I love the back of his costume with the monkey tail.

Here are Porter and Peyton! Aren't they so cute?
He is the cutest monkey I've ever seen.
We could hardly get him to stand still to take a picture; he was so excited.

Porter's First Horse Ride

We went on our first Fun Friday outing to Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving Point. Porter loved it, especially riding on the pony. He didn't want to get off the horse. And I finally got him to sit by the pumkins and get a picture. Yay for Mommy's persistence!

Our First Snowfall

Well it snowed for the first time this year on Sunday morning. We woke up to three inches of the most beautiful perfect snowball/snowman snow. Of course, I couldn't wait to get Porter and I dressed in our snow gear and head outside. (If you don't know, I am like a little kid when it comes to the snow. I could have snow on the ground from November to March.) Davy said we should wait until after Church, but I knew by then it would be melted. So we got dressed and headed outside for what I thought would be endless mom and tot fun in the snow. (Davy wasn't at all interested in the snow festivities.) Much to my chagrin, as soon as I stood Porter up in the snow, he started crying. He wanted nothing to do with it. So after one great minute enjoying the snow, we went inside. Oh well; maybe next time.

More Fun at Cornbellys

By the time I wanted cute pictures of Porter in the pumkins, he was having none of it. He was so tired and so sad. But, we still had a great time. He is such a sweet boy!

Family Picture Round Two

Fall: Lisa's favorite time of year and the perfect time for a new family picture. Last year, Mom and Brent took ours, and it turned out so cute. So this year, we headed back to the AF Amphitheater for round two. They all turned out so well that it was hard to choose one. Needless to say, I definitely have the cutest family; of course I am biased so take no offense.

Joining the Blog Revolution

After all of the buzz and some persuasion from book club last night, the McArthurs finally have a blog! Now that more of my siblings live away from Utah, I guess it's time to join the blogger world to keep them updated. We are doing great. Today, Porter and I went with our good friends Kristin and Matisyn to Cornbelly's. We had a great time. I finally got to do something "fall"ish with my little boy. I've always looked forward to Autumn outings with my children, and now we've had our first.
