Playing in Mesquite

This summer Diane, Mike & the boys met the whole family in Mesquite for several days of fun in the sun! One of the favorites with the kids was playing in the really nice pool at the Casa Blanca. The kids spent hours swimming & we even got in a few games of sand volleyball.

Elder Caleb

Where has the time gone? Our sweet lil' nephew Caleb is a Missionary! We remember holding him when he was just a little guy, yelling that his name is "DUB", playing basketball with the uncles, catching the football, baseball on the front of grandma & grandpa's lawn, fishing, & spending time talking at a BBQ. Time passes all so quickly & now he's off learning a new language & in a few weeks will be walking the streets in Italy teaching the gospel. We are so proud of him & will miss him so much! We can't wait to hear of his "adventures"...

TP Girl

Nope she's not a zombie...there were some cute shots of an activity she did with her activity day group. They made dresses out of t.p. & Kel's was super cute. Walking was difficult without tearing it so we had to snap photos quick before the thing fell apart!

Girl's Basketball

Aspey with her "biggest fan" Phia Coy & Kel - we caught a couple of Coy's games...that's one impressive basketball player!!
Kel working up a thirst with all that driving to the basket!!
Syd, Aspen, Bay & "the poser" - ya know the serious kid :)
& the posing continues...
The girls were each on basketball teams this year & so our Saturdays were always busy with games. Kel played in the 3rd & 4th grade league-Syd was on her team and Bri & Clint were their coaches. They had so much fun & Kel improved from last year. Usually before we left for a game she had "planned" a play in her head on how to get to the basket & score points. Fun thing about this league is they don't keep track of points, if the kids double dribble or travel they stop the play, show them what they did wrong & give the ball back to them. There is no stealing-that madness begins next year & that's when a bunch of jump balls happen...good times :) Aspen plays in the 7th & 8th grade league & wasn't as excited to play this year, but as the season went on she got more confidence & did awesome! The girls on her team were tough & they made a great run on the season. They also had a tournament at the end & played in S.F. - we were hoping to play teams from S.F. but for some reason the ding dong who put the bracket together had us play two teams from our town we had already played twice during the season...silly & not as exciting!! The girls played tough, but lost & placed 4th.

Bowling with the Davis'

Bowling!!

Another New Year's Activity with the family was Bowling.

We had fun & tried to top eachothers score - I think Grandma won :)

Ghetto Sled

GHETTO SLED!!

This little beauty consists of a car seat bolted to the hood of a car & pulled by a 4 wheeler or truck...redneck style!!yep, it's freezing kennedy, kel, & regan bundled up & ready for a crazy ride!! showing off our skating skills...& ready to go inside!! it was one cold day!
Larry & Jackie were sweet to invite us to "ghetto sled" & of course she fixed a ton of food & snacks & hot chocolate for everyone. We enjoyed watching the girls on the sled & after watching the video I can't believe parents would be okay with that :) They had a ball! We played board games, talked & ate...it was a really fun day & a great way to ring in the New Year!

I'm trying to catch up with all the stuff we did this summer...this is what I get for procrastinating...baseball photos posted in the winter! We had a great time going to a couple of Owlzz baseball games.
