Eight Months Already!

Dyn Dyn is eight months old! He is the happiest baby ever ~ and I never thought I could say that since Boo was so happy. He is growing up way too fast, and before I know it he will be walking along side his big brother! Yikes!!!

Dyn's stats:

  • Weighs 20 lbs.
  • Nurses 4 times a day
  • Sleeps 12 straight hours!
  • Goes to bed about 6:30 and will wake to nurse in the morning and sometimes sleep until 7:30!
  • Takes 2 naps a day ~ each about an hour
  • Eats cereal with prunes, sweet potato, peas, green beans, Gerber puffs, cheerios, banana, applesauce ~ I think that is it so far. He loves all his food, and I usually have to cube the food or make it so he can pick it up to eat it. He doesn't really like to be fed with a spoon!
  • Still has just 2 teeth but might be working on two more
  • Pulls up on all the furniture he can get his hands on.
  • Toddles around the furniture while playing...walking will be here soon!
  • Wears size 3 diapers
  • Wears 9-12 month clothes and now 12 month jeans are fitting pretty nice too. I think his legs are finally catching up with his torso!
  • Loves to play with brother especially when brother makes him laugh!

Boo had to be apart of the pictures, but I tried to get him to help me get Dyn to laugh!

"Mama I am too busy for this stuff!"

Playing with the string that goes to a balloon.

Laughing at his silly brother!

Christmas with Our Neighbors

Our neighbors are such a blessing to us! They have helped us watch the boys, and have been like our own parents! They love and cherish us and our boys and we are SO thankful for them. God knew we needed to live right behind them so we could be blessed beyond measure! Last Sunday night we went to their house for dinner and present exchange. We wanted to do it early because we know the closer it gets to Christmas the busier everyone is going to be!

Opening presents

Daddy and Dyn

Boo being the helper!

He LOVES Mr. Ricky! And I am pretty sure the feeling is mutual. :)

Dyn loves their tree!

So sweet!

Daddy was trying to get Boo with the nutcracker. He kept telling Boo to put his finger in his mouth!

Mrs. Linda and Dyn

They adore my children!

Dyn riding Boo!!!! Too funny!

This was a great picture espeically since no one was helping us take it!

Gingerbread Houses

Last weekend we thought it would be fun to make some gingerbread houses. These are made with graham crackers because I am not that crafty! Daddy, Boo, and I made our own houses.

Boo loved eating the frosting!

Trying to be like Mama and put the frosting on the cracker with his fingers.

Daddy's house all constructed just waiting for decorations.

The start of my house

I used my fingers to frost it because I could control it better!

Working hard at choosing candy

Oooo! Sprinkles!

Boo's house!

Look at all those sprinkles!

I love this face...

Getting even more candy!

Daddy's house almost complete

Still decorating!

I guess I was really concentrating!

Escalator and Carousel

The mall down here is really nice, and we decided to take the afternoon and look around. But the most excitement from my boys was the escalator and the carousel.

They have a 2 story carousel and Boo (and Daddy) really wanted to ride it. The first time they rode an alligator.

So excited to see everything moving!

The joy on his face is priceless!
Waiting in line to ride again later in the day.

This time they rode up top and my pictures were just not very good.

Dyn giving Mama smiles while we watched Daddy and brother ride. Too cute!

Children's Museum

Last weekend we spent the day out to do a little shopping and have some fun. After shopping at Target, we thought it would be fun to visit the Children's Museum so Boo could run off some energy.

First stop was the bubble station!

Boo tried so hard, but didn't quite have the power to make a bubble.

Look at that bubble! I think we had just as much if not more fun than Boo!

Getting ready to stand INSIDE a bubble!

I think Boo's face is hilarious here!

I was able to get the bubble all the way to the top! It was really fun!

At the water table playing with the boats

This bubble is in the middle of popping!

Inside the ambulance

Look how happy he is!!!

I was checking him out at the medical station. This patient table looked like a rhino.

The pulley!

Boo didn't want to get his picture made like a snowman, but Daddy did great ! Haha

Trying again...bettter.

Mama Snowman or is it snowwoman?
Best one we could get of Dyn. He wanted to look around at everything!

This was neat. He could see himself on the tv and it looked like he was rowing.

Teaching James some engineering :)

Of course he HAD to decorate a cookie and eat the frosting!

I think Dyn thought he was going to get a bite!

Inside the police car
They turned the "snow" machine on and we had snow everywhere!

James told Santa what he wants for Christmas...a choo choo book :)
We had fun. The place was small and filled with lots of children, but Boo seemed to like it. I think Dyn will have more fun when he isn't confined to the stroller...
