hectice life: day one.i pulled myself out of my luxurious bed this morning. All ready to go for the run. Then project meeting. :) it turned out to be horrendous as my energy was stuck on my bed. any oh how, i had math lecture. Boring. So i got nothing out of it.after which, head for town with my class and I ate subway again. The same exact meal as my dinner. nvm.ODAC NEVER SEEM TO END ON TIME.Training was supposed to end like 7pm and we ended at 8.30pm.Then went to adam road and have dinner with Dom and KJ.It was about 10 plus that Dom and i decided to grab hold of an ice cream.cut whole long story short. I had a tiring training. It's a joy to hear the voice of my people. :)If everything is simply smooth sailing in you life, without struggles, then sometime might be seriously wrong with you. :) Look at the bible, even david, peter, moses, aaron and all struggled at a pt in time. So yup. :) are you struggling?

a short snappy post.hectic and 'lifeless' would be the best words to describe my holidays. From now till the end of my holidays, there are only two days where i have nothing planned yet. All these excludes shepherding and studying. :) praise the lord. He has his ways man.Stress? You are asking the obvious, aren't you? alright, my purpose of this post is to make a covenant with myself to you (GOD).I will run, fight because i'm free inside.I won't give up, i won't give in and i WILL NEVER TURN AWAY from YOU. I see the value in my walk with you. I will still give my best to the ministry that ya have given to me. I see the VALUE behind it all. :) alright, time to prepare for project meet. and i have to be in school like 6.45am to run 10km. =\so i won't give up and i won't give in.davidhoe

proliferation
the permutations and combinations of ideas always make one become insane. oh sanity, where have you been? lol.anyway, it's time to do a little updating.Firstly, the atrocious econs paper took the life out of me today. Hideous. The first glance will give you a fal se impression that the paper is within the reach of doing well.As your eyes traced those questions downwards, rampant questions starts bombarding one's head. What on earth are they asking? They expect us to state government's viewpoint on subsidy to theme park. The hilarious fact was that it merely worth six pathetic marks. It was accompanied by a fellow question who had the same volume as his friend. Spastically dumb. While doing the essay question, i committed suicide. :) I did a question which was worth only 25 marks. Though, i was advised by leon not to attempt such question. I guess, my hopes for a A might the same reason with the reason for demand curve. But there is still hope can. lo. i did my best, and i think God is glad about it. Yeah. :)yup, training today was mentally challenging. We had to run 10km below 50mins. Instead of running 10, i took the run a little further, by 2 more km. Afterall, i enjoy long distance running. :) ODAC never ends before 7.30pm despite it starts at 2 or 3. Holiday traingings are way interesting - time consuming. 2-7pm. Three times per week. I apparently doubt that it will end by 7. That is just main ODAC training, and i still need to have ATC training. 10km run per week. On top of those ODAC run. :) well, i like my cca. The 12km run was a waste, if we see it as burning of fats. This is because i compensated for it by 4 slices of giantic pizza at Edwin's house. His house is slender, alluring, classy and high tech. NICE AND NICE. haha. I hope suckdeep will come to service tmr. lol. haha. A little update about the ministry, we have grown frm a cg of 10 to a consistent size of around 15-17 arund. :) But that's not enough. The only time when i will call it an end, is when everyone has heard the gospel in this land. If people deserve a second chance, yellow ribbion, why do they not deserve a SINGLE chance to at least hear the gospel? If we can give those prisoners a SECOND change, why are we not sharing his love to others? Come on, don't rattle about the fact that we do not want to invade their lives. And by what means? yup. Different? PLEASE RECONSIDER. I think it's just that we are SELFISH at times. Our comfort seems to be the ideal, not the droplets of labour that roll from our forehead. Too many times, we are PASSIVE. alright, enough of updating. time to plan for the month and dmm tmr. :) hoe.

Proverbs 27:6 6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.I was scrutinizing through my sermon book for a particular lesson, the above verse caught my naked eye gaze. The speaker mentioned a point that, most people do not have more than five close friends. how far will you agree? Close friends mean people who you are able to pour out your life through a transparent window. :)Life has caught up with me AGAIN. I begun to realize that i have been sleeping merely 5 hours daily. How balnal and trite can life get? I need to get some life very soon. i'm just rattling some thoghts. Alright, time to look at the sermons of shepherding people this week. Mass media only reveal to you what they want you to know, and not what they don't. the transaprent widow. :)hoe.

a quick and snappy post.for donkey sake, i ate three tubs of luscious yogurt consecutively, one after the other. It all began with a spasm thought of satisfying the hankering for some light food. My slow strides with my sheep laid my eyes on a bottle of yogurt, ALIVE. Initially, i was apparent to the marginal ulitilty i will recieve. Nevertheless, i still purchase it. :)haha. and i declare i love to eat yogurt only for TODAY. 6 more minutes to the closure of this very day. 25 by end may07. 250507 :)i have a sudden urge to buy any book and read. lol.do we see the value in what we are doing? if not, we might get caught up with the ritual of doing things. :/hoe the garden. the COG.

Lesson for you to muse on. this is specially dedicated to my sheep. :)Get your priorities straight, recapture your ministry joyby Rick WarrenA lot of people – including those of us in ministry – are looking for joy in all the wrong places. As pastors, we want to find it in a bigger church, a more effective ministry, and often the accolades of our peers and church members. Yet we do this in vain. We won’t find joy there.Last week, I shared with you what I believe is the number one joy killer in ministry – legalism. I strongly believe that misplacing our priorities is next in line. Paul talks about his own priorities in his letter to the Philippians. He said: “But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ.” (Phil. 3:7-8 NIV)This is Paul’s “Profit and Loss Statement.” He says however I once “profited,” I now simply count as loss compared to knowing Jesus. Your priorities are out of whack in ministry if they aren’t squarely focused on the person of Jesus Christ and if you can’t count everything else as a loss compared to him. That’s one of the reasons why Paul can stay joyful despite being imprisoned as he is writing this letter.Notice the phrase, “I consider [it all] rubbish that I may gain Christ.” The translators were being polite. The word isn’t rubbish – it’s dung, manure. He’s not mincing words. Paul says that everything we have is worthless garbage without Jesus. Fame, money, or power can never replace the simple joy of knowing Jesus. You find joy in ministry when you keep your priorities straight. Don’t lose your joy over things that aren’t important. Christ is important. And there are a lot of less important things that can cause you to lose your joy in ministry. People don’t do what you want them to do. They don’t show up when you want them to show up. They don’t help when you want them to help. They’ll let you down. If you keep your focus on these things, it’ll be easy to lose your joy. Paul is telling us in this letter that it doesn’t matter what kind of accolades you have, how big your church is, or how many books you’ve written – you can have all of that in ministry and still be unhappy. Paul points out in Philippians 3:8 that life consists of tradeoffs. He counted everything as loss so that he may be found “in Christ.” Jesus said something similar about tradeoffs. He told us that we can’t serve two masters. You’ve got to decide what or who will be number one in your life. Many of us want Jesus plus something else. We want to serve God in ministry, but we hold on to other things as well. Paul says he gave up all of these things to know Christ. The reasons our priorities are off and thus our ministries are joyless is because we know we have to give up certain things in order to truly live for Christ. We’re afraid we’ll have to be restricted. But we can hardly escape the reality. When we come to Jesus Christ, we give up everything. The funny thing is, when we do that, we realize we’ve never had it so good. He takes what we’ve given to him and he reforms it, reshapes it, adds new meaning to it, and gives it back to us in a new way. Jim Elliot, the missionary martyred by the Indians down in Ecuador, said, “He is no fool to give up that which he cannot keep for that which he cannot lose.”It’s time to rearrange your priorities – and recapture your joy. Questions to pounder:What are my priorities in my life? Does relationship with God matter to me? Why?So what are you afraid to give up? What is three areas in your life that ya might compromise your walk with the Lord?Additional questions:What’s gotten out of priority in your life and in your ministry? Has a relationship with Christ been replaced by your ministry goals?
