Grandpa Dave

My Grandpa Dave passed away this week. He was the most brave man I know.
He was a Marine in WWII, a true cowboy working on his ranch, and a stalwart member of the church.
He was a fantastic Father of 8, Grandpa of 41, and Great Grandpa of 60!
I was lucky enough to be at the care center when he died on Tuesday. He passed away peacefully and it was a wonderful day to reminisce the amazing life he lived. I'm ecstatic that he can be with my Grandma Vela again. I spent lots of the day pondering how that reunion took place. Ah, what sight that would be.

His Obituary can be read HERE.
Becca loved sitting on Grandpa's lap. He made an awesome quacking noise with his mouth, and she would laugh with him.

What a handsome man, I can't wait to celebrate his life at the funeral on Saturday. It will be awesome to see all the cousins together.

We enjoyed a fun holiday weekend, without a lick of homework! Hooray!~
On Friday we went up to the Bauman's condo. Grandpa spoiled Becca by taking her on the carousel ride at Zermatt and letting her feed the goats!

Then we drove to Sundance and took the chair lift up the mountain. We hiked, ate lunch and rode the lift back down. It was a GORGEOUS day!

Saturday Night we came back home, and barbequed at my parents house. Becca loved her ice cream cone, the sparklers, and all the big fireworks at Sugarhouse park that evening. She didn't go to bed until 11:00, what a record!
