About Me

My photo
Logan, Utah, United States
David and I met in Reno Nevada where both of our families were living. We dated for seven months and were engaged for five months. We got married in the Reno NV temple on July 3 2010. A month later we moved to Provo UT where we stayed for two years. David and I currently moved to Logan where David is working on his Masters and me on my bachelors. We were sad to leave Provo but we are excited for this new chapter in our lives!

Pumpkins!

Wow it's that time of the year again, where stores start putting up pumpkins for sale, and lots of candy! Halloween  came by fast and just as fast it went by flying. It's November 10th and I am a slacker. I never post anything close to the date that it happened. Anyways, David and I didn't really do much the day of Halloween  we didn't dress up and we didn't trick or treat. Oh wait, we're too old to go around asking for candy. I made a confession to David the other day and I told him the last time I stopped trick or treating and that was during my high school years! Yeah I know, that's old but I really enjoyed it and Halloween was always exciting to me. We did get some trick or treaters at our house and it was fun looking at some of the kids costumes. What we did NOT forget to do for this year's Halloween was carve pumpkins! We went over to our friends parents house and carved pumpkins there. It was really fun and we did a pretty good job!

Portland!

I had the opportunity to visit the Anderson's home in Portland. I took some days off hoping David and I would go.Unfortunately, the airplane tickets to Portland were never really cheap and the discounts were not very good. My very nice husband gave me permission to go and visit my sister and her kids. David stayed and I missed him very much! I loved spending time with Ruth, Jordan and their family. I really enjoyed seeing Portland for the first time. It was very rainy and cloudy the majority of the time i was there, and there are a lot of cool things to see. Ruth and Jordan assured me that they also like the rain, but after months and months of rarely seeing the sun come out, it can get a little depressing. Ruth and Jordan will be moving in December and I am glad I had the chance to visit their home and city before they moved. I have been back for a couple of weeks now and I miss them very much! Especially Rebeca and Massey.
They have two adorable children who are very smart. Massey is 4 and speaks Spanish and English pretty well. Rebeca is 3 and is such a cute sweet girl, who loves to be hugged.

Jardine Juniper

A cool looking caterpillar

White Pine Lake

We have moved to Logan! We have been living in Logan for a little over two months! It has gone super fast! I might feel that way because I still feel new to this area and I'm still new in my ward. I don't feel like that at work though, it's a different story. I know my co-workers very well and many of the customers know me so it feels like I have been working in that branch for months! One of the fun things about Logan is how close we are to so many beautiful canyons and outing sights. David and I love hiking and exploring the outdoors. So ones we were done unpacking the majority of boxes, we drove out to Tony Grove Lake. It is a beautiful lake with pine trees surrounding the area and beautiful sights to see. We parked right outside of Tony Grove Lake and hiked 4 miles into White Pine Lake where David was ready to do some fishing! We had a picnic and I watched David as he caught some fish and sometimes..fell in the water. It was a beautiful day to go hiking and we had a blast.

Last Memories of Provo

One of the many fish that David caught in Provo. Nice!

We made it to the top of Squaw Peak!!

A beautiful place David found on our way to Squaw Peak trail

I found this pretty colorful caterpillar on a green leaf. I wanted to keep it, but on my way down the canyon, it fell and I accidentally stepped on it! Oops.

Garter snake. Pretty colors.

The gopher snake David caught. Someone walking down the trail was nice enough to take a picture of David and  the snake.

David found this gopher snake on Rock Canyon one afternoon and decided to leave it in one of the rooms so he could show it to me when I got off work. Oh boy was that a surprise!

David and I found out several months before that we were going to be leaving Provo, and heading to Logan, where David was to attend Utah State University where he would be working on his Masters in history. We were both really happy, but at the same time a little sad to leave friends and family behind.David's grandparents lived 45 minutes from Provo and David's sister Sara, only lived 30 minutes from us. We know we will be in Logan for at least two years until David finishes, and then we will be off to look for a good job! There will be so many exciting things to look forward to! At the meantime, in Provo Utah we had fun exploring the canyon that we lived close to. We will miss you Provo!
