Babies are so amazing! They are so innocent and happy... happy just to see the smiling face of their mother or father... happy to wake up from a nap and see that you come when they cry... happy just to be hugged and kissed and loved by someone. I wish that I new how to be happy with just the simple things like that. Henry B. Eyring said, "There is a great tendancy for us in our prayers and in our pleadings with the Lord to ask for additional blessings. But sometimes I feel we need to devote more of our prayers to expressions of gratitude and thanksgiving for blessings already received. We enjoy so much." That is what my son taught me today. It is something I forget and need a reminder of frequently. I know that as the parent, I am supposed to teach my children, but I find that they teach me more. Maybe if I have a dozen kids, someday I will know everything I need to.

Gracie & Sammy's cousins
We just got home from spending a week and a half with our families in St. George. Gracie had so much fun with her cousins she actually wouldn't get out of the car when we finally came home. Now we are all going through withdrawal. We sure do miss everyone! We wish we could come see you again today!

Sammy Lamby
Shortly after Sammy was born his Great Grandpa Wetzel started calling him Sammy Lamby. He also called him Sammy-Sucks-Eggs, but I liked Sammy Lamby better. It kind of stuck. Now we call everyone Lamby: Gracie-Lamby, David-Lamby...the cousins and aunt and uncles too. Look at those round cheeks. Don't you just want to pinch them?
David who is holding Gracie who is holding Sammy
Here is a picture of the three loves of my life. David was sitting at his computer and holding Gracie. I had Sammy, but I had to run into the other room for something (I can't even remember what it was now). I put Sammy on top of Gracie and David, and Gracie thought it was the funnest thing in the whole world!!! We just had to get a picture of that big smile and bright eyes! Aren't these three cute? I am such a lucky woman.

A Happy Family
Hi Everyone! We are a happy family: David, Julie, Gracie, and Samuel. I decided I wanted to start a family blog. My sister has one for her daughter, and a friend of mine has one for her family, and I was inspired. So this is us. David works for United Health Care, and for me (he is pretty good at those honey-do's). He has a bazillion interests which include but are not limited to: fish (as in aquariums), gardening, the harmonica and guitar (although not together...yet), fishing (as in anyone hungry), and food. He enjoy's trying his hand at anything new. I am a stay at home mom. I love playing with my kids. They sure do add sparkle to my life. I also love music and reading and bike riding. I am really excited. David said he would get me a new bike for Mother's Day. Gracie is our fiery red-headed daughter. She is two and a half and has a temperment to match her hair. She can get into trouble before you can blink. She loves coloring (especially on walls), popsicles, playing in the sprinklers, and dancing. Sammy is almost three monthes old. He is a little angel child. He really only cries when he is hungry. He is so strong and can scoot around on our bed already by just pushing his legs. He even scooted himself off the bed last week. He likes to eat, sleep, play, swing, and take baths. He is so funny in the tub. He kicks his little legs and looks like a frog swimming on its back. Anyway, this is our family. We like to go on walks together, and fly kites together, and watch movies together, and cook together...and this is our blog.
