My new address

As you all know I got married last week, and in the next few days there will be many blogs and pictures to follow, but I had a few people ask about our new address and asked me to post it on here, so for you few that asked here is my new address: 2086 S. California Ave Provo, UT 84606. Erin and I have many fun things to tell everyone and can't wait to share them on here, and thanks to everyone who was involved in the wedding and receptions, they were perfect!

Engagement to Erin!

So the time has finally come in my life where I have found that special someone and couldn't imagine how much I could love and adore her and so as in the normal flow of things, I asked her to marry me! Let me share with you the story of how the night played out. As I was thinking of how to ask Erin to marry me the thought came in to my mind to do something simple yet romantic. Last week as I was thinking I had a wonderful idea and worked through it and this is how last Thursday went...

On Thursday we were planning on going to one of our favorite restaurants and introducing Jen, my little sister, to it. I kept Erin thinking that was still the plan, but secretly I had something else planned.
The restaurant was Gloria's Little Italy (it's the most amazing Italian food!) and I went there earlier that day and talked to the owners, who are some of the nicest people, and asked if I could reserve the second floor of the restaurant for an hour so that I could propose. They were so pleased to accomodate my request and loved the thought of us using their restaurant for our special night. I went there about an hour before Erin and I were planning on having dinner and with the help of my little sister, Jen, we decorated one of the tables on the top floor with candles and rose petals to make it a little more special.

After I made final arrangements with the owners and our waiter, I went and picked Erin up from work and we headed off to the restaurant. As we walked in the restaurant we were greeted very warmly by everyone and I was hoping that Erin wouldn't catch on that we were greeted a little differently. Our waiter started to walk us to the stairs and then as I had arranged with him he told us to just go upstairs and pick any table we wanted and he would be up in a few minutes to take our order. Erin went up the stairs first, and as she got to the top she turned around and asked which table I wanted to sit at. I told her that we should sit at the table in the corner and pointed to the table Jen and I had decorated. As Erin looked at it, she took a quick inhale of breath and turned to me and had a smile on her face, as she started to realize what was going on I pulled her into a hug and told her how much I loved her, how much she meant, and how I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with her. (Side note, I've never proposed before:) so this whole time, I was shaking and Erin says it was cute so I guess it's ok:)). After I said those things, I got down on one knee and opened the ring box and asked Erin if she would marry me. Before I could even fully finish the sentence, she said yes! We then walked over and sat down and had a very romantic dinner all alone on the second floor of our new, absolute favorite restaurant.:)
Little Italy was so great to us that night, not only were they ecstatic about the proposal and let us have the entire upper floor to ourselves but they gave us drinks for free and insisted that we have a dessert on the house also! As we finished and walked downstairs, all the employees rushed to Erin and wanted to see her ring. As she was talking I went and thanked the owners and they handed me a marker and told us that we had to write on their wall.

So we left a message on Little Italy's wall and and then left the restaurant as an officially engaged couple. It was one of the greatest nights of my life and I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful, amazing, kind, breath taking (I can keep going if you want:)) woman as my future wife!

My Pretty Girl

So I started this blog a month and a half ago and haven't written anything on it since then, but in that time I have met and started dating the most amazing girl! Her name is Erin Taylor and she is 22 and is from Mapleton, Utah (about 15 minutes south of Provo). She just graduated from BYU with a degree in business and is a HR specialist for a herbal supplement company, Nature's Way. Erin and I met in our ward here at Raintree and we were drawn to each other from the first activity that we were both at and we spent about a month just getting to know each other and realizing that we had feelings for the other person. I finally asked her out on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and we had a blast and talked for 4 hours after the "end" of our first date. We spent every day together that weekend and then on Memorial Day we went and saw a movie and I held her hand and the rest is just becoming history. I left for home the day after Memorial Day and came back a week later and from the day I got back we haven't spent a day apart and we are loving every second of our new found relationship. She makes me happier than I have ever been and I just wanted to post this blog about this wonderful girl in my life and share some pictures of us. As I get better at this blogging thing I will start being more detail oriented about what is going on in my life in general and in the goings on in my relationship with Erin. Until the next blog enjoy these pictures of me and Erin, and no one needs to post any comments about her being way too gorgeous for me, I already know that:)

Caving In

So I have been reading my sisters great blogs for a while now and absolutely love reading what is going on in their lives and seeing pictures of related events. I never thought I would join this "movement" but I just got back from visiting home (WA) and while at a friend get together a few of my friend's wives were talking about their blogs. Well at this point a few other people mentioned things about their or other people's blogs and I realized I was the complete odd man out (loser if you will:)), so here I am posting my first blog and hoping that I can have some note-worthy things to put on here every once in a while. Also I read a quote on Missi's blog today from Pres. Hinckley about writing down the things that happen in our life and since I'm horrible at journal writing this may be a good avenue to record my life events. So anyways for the 3 of you out there who will read this, I hope that I keep this up and not become too much of a blogging nerd (no offense to you blogging nerds!).
